Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Quick HitsIt's official: The FBI is investigating Letitia James for repeatedly falsifying her financial and real estate records on her mortgage applications. I hope they hit her with 35 counts of fraud, one for every single signature. The FBI has opened a formal criminal probe into New York Attorney General Letitia James for alleged mortgage fraud after a request to investigate James was sent to the Department of Justice last month by Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte. According to a report from the New York Post citing a source familiar with the matter, the investigation into James is being led by US Attorney John Sarcone III, who has been an ally of President Donald Trump. James allegedly "falsified records" that enabled her to get more favorable loans on a home in Virginia that she purchased in 2023, according to the letter to the DOJ from Pulte. The referral from Pulte stated, "Based on media reports, Ms. Letitia James has, in multiple instances, falsified bank documents and property records to acquire government backed assistance and loans and more favorable loan terms. This has potentially included 1) falsifying residence status for a Norfolk, Virginia-based home in order to secure a lower mortgage rate and 2) misrepresenting property descriptions to meet stringent requirements for government backed loans and government assistance."It is delicious that these crimes are almost exactly the same ones she falsely accused Trump of. Hamas' "University" Columbia actually bothered to arrest the radical terrorists shutting down the school and preventing real students from using it. Columbia did a better job handling the pro-Hamas activists on campus yesterday than it has previously. In the evening nearly 80 students who had refused to identify themselves were arrested. ... Hopefully, at some point during booking, the headscarves were removed and mugshots were taken of all of them. But arrests of leftwing criminals mean nothing in Alvin Bragg's Manhattan. The last time police arrested violent Hamas terrorist kidnappers -- they kidnapped janitors in a Columbia building -- Alvin Bragg dropped charges for 31 of 46 offenders, claiming it would be too difficult to prosecute them. But there is a Back-Up Plan, if the local Soros prosecutor protects terrorists: Secretary Marco Rubio Trump strikes a trade deal with the UK, opening it -- supposedly -- to imports of US beef. We'll see if they really do open their markets or if this is another stab-in-the-back from our European "allies." Really our ungrateful bratty dependent Goth teenagers. The announcement allows the sale of U.S. beef into the U.K. for the first time in decades and ensures an increase in the purchase of Boeing commercial jetliners. Flanked by Vice President J.D. Vance and on a conference call with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, President Donald Trump announced an agreement "worth billions of dollars" with the U.K. that reconfigures tariff prices on goods, expands the market for American farmers and ranchers, and added a phalanx of Boeing jetliners to that nation's commercial fleet. The Trump White House called it "a breakthrough" and "a good deal." The "unprecedented" deal not only includes U.S. tariffs but also a reduction in tariffs by the U.K. The deal introduces a reset of the baseline framework for trade, which will create a $5 billion in exports opportunities for American farmers, ranchers, and other producers can sell into the U.K. That includes beef. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said that the beef deal with "exponentially" increase the amount of beef that ranchers sell.Guess who's funding the "grassroots uprising"?
DRUMPF!!! is pushing that dangerous racist school choice policy. The policy that is good for students and parents, but which is objected to by the teachers unions because it would force them to allow their worst-performing teachers to be fired.

Secretary Marco Rubio
@SecRubio We are reviewing the visa status of the trespassers and vandals who took over Columbia University's library. Pro-Hamas thugs are no longer welcome in our great nation. --- Federal judges have been illegally re-writing and expanding immigration law to require that student visas cannot be revoked unless they have been arrested or convicted of a crime. The statute merely requires that Rubio, as Secretary of State, state he finds they engaged in conduct that is detrimental to foreign relations. It doesn't require him to state what they did, nor how it was or why it was. Yet, the judge-kings are issuing illegal orders, in clear violation of the law, that the Secretary of State must not only state what they did, but also why and how it was detrimental and--additionally!--that the conduct was not protected by the 1st Amendment. The English funded the Empire on what they stole from the Catholics for hundreds of years. Posted by: Oldcat at May 08, 2025 06:28 PM (8avO+) --- Not true. There are many subdivisions of the Church, from the parish to the diocese and metropolitans and bishops' conferences, various orders and then the Vatican itself. Americans have been boycotting everything above the diocese for years because of Francis. So yes, the Vatican is hard up, but that was Francis' doing. As for the Brits, they ran through those estates pretty quick, which is why they conquered India and stuff. Empires are quite profitable. BTW, the latest news is that young, church-going Catholics outnumber Anglicans by a margin of 2 to 1. It's only a matter of time before we get Canterbury back. I think this Pope will be a great improvement over the previous disaster. He took the name Leo, which means a great deal in the Church. Leo13 wrote the St. Michael prayer, because he had a vision of Satan in the Sanctuary, and knew also the power of prayer. Leo also foresaw many of the disasters of the past century and knew we would need some serious exorcism prayers to fight them.
Leo14 must see something. I don't know what. But the choice of names is telling. Posted by: tcn in AK at May 08, 2025 06:38 PM (a4NoL) 102

I think being Pope is a tough job. And Bergoglio entered it with a certain contempt for the established traditions - "I'm too humble to wear the traditional vestments, I'm too humble to sleep in the traditional residence, I am gonna tear down this accumulation of tradition and remake it all in the way of St Francis"
So, kinda leftist approach from the get go. Confrontational, no opposition allowed, I think Pope Francis had good intentions but was not wise. Still his papacy unveiled a lot of what is rotten in the hierarchy. I hope Prevost shows true humility by being respectful of tradition , and fosters unity. Little town in South Texas just outside Houston. I pull up into the gas stop and get out. There stands a girl looking at me with that 500 yard stare. She has the door half open on an early 1990 pickup covered in dust. She’s long dragging Marlboros and in between drags pulling the bottle of beer out of the car door and taking a swig. There’s a kids meal cardboard from a fast food place on the dash. She’s wearing a tight pair of Wranglers, boots and she’s got a beat up John Deere hat on. She just keeps staring. What do you do? Let’s see if you pass.

Federal judges have been illegally re-writing and expanding immigration law to require that student visas cannot be revoked unless they have been arrested or convicted of a crime.
The statute merely requires that Rubio, as Secretary of State, state he finds they engaged in conduct that is detrimental to foreign relations. It doesn't require him to state what they did, nor how it was or why it was. Federal judges are going to make it highly advantageous to simple not allow foreigners in in the first place. After all, if you can't kick guests out, there's no point in inviting them in the first place. Posted by: FeatherBlade at May 08, 2025 07:10 PM (hB7mE) 241

1) Eject them from the university. They do not get to complete their classes (my guess is they are all worth less as students). 2) Deport anyone with a student visa. 3) Bar them from re-entry into the U.S. 4) Publisize their names and faces. My guess is those who remain will have a tough time finsihing their education anywhere but community college. Progressives protect their own - but do to them what they do to us with immigration - overload them with people they need to pay to support. Crash the system of progressive NGOs, cut their money, and make them support more and more useless eaters who are unemployable otherwise. Flood the zone with David Hoggs. Not pro-terrorist when it comes to Israel’s enemies, I mean.
