There is a sequence in the Bill Adams and Cecil Brooks' SciFi book, The End of Fame where the protagonist, Ethan Larkspur is sucked into a maelstrom with someone who is also claiming to be Ethan Larkspur. The whole book is something of a take off on the Byronic romantic story from the point of view of someone who survived the Byronic romantic story, so it is quite odd, and quite compelling.

This was proposed last year by some of the more libertarian new-media types when there was a lot of agitation to pardon Ross Ulbricht. They felt there was a screaming need for it. It may well be this group will be finding people for Trump to pardon, specifically to show judicial and prosecutorial overreach.
If Joe could give pardons in presidential purple ink with a f****** bow on it because he was president, then Trump can do it out of justice to people who didn't give him money and kickbacks

269 What happened at Lake Peigneur was that they drilled into a shaft of a large salt mine that wasn’t on their geological maps. There’s video around of it somewhere. The most amazing thing that gives an idea of the size of the cavern opened up underground was that there were 6 large barges on that lake, and they all got sucked down into that hole. But that wasn’t the end! After the ocean came up the channel and flowed into the hole for 3 days, suddenly all 6 barges popped back up to the surface, in good shape! (That would have been a hell of a ride!)

It didn't taste bad bad, but it did affect the texture, it was more like eating a long flat open face hamburger. And yes its a LOT of sausage.

Oh, by the way. Rest stops. Ontario, Canada has beautiful rest areas with restaurants, shops and amenities. I remember the one in Michigan just after the Ohio border. Restrooms. That's it.

Truth, in large part because it’s hard to maintain a perfect “float” where you don’t go up or down. You tend to drift upwards, which would put you in the ceiling. And of course, if something goes wrong, you want to be able to just head up, back to the surface. Can’t do that in a cave.

Try the Cu Chi tunnels in Vietnam. Tourist attraction but few people can actually go through the tunnels without freaking out and bailing. They are very narrow, dimly lit, and go on forever. Very very claustrophobic.

When I was doing commercial diving in PR the water was so full of silt, oil, diesel and other crap we had to be tied to our buddy with a rope to the surface. You literally couldn't see more than a foot in front of your face. We dove with flashlights but they only illuminated a very small space and we were often under very big ships. It was like diving in ink.

Very easy to get disoriented and loose top from bottom and you never wanted to hit bottom in San Juan Harbor. Follow the bubbles.

Day job was teaching and doing tours including night dives which I really liked. A lot of different creatures come out at night. And there was usually some natural light from the moon and stars that would penetrate down to 25 - 30 feet on a clear night.

The commercial stuff was literally pitch black in 5 feet of water. Paid really well but not fun.

They also have kimchi radishes at this one store. Amazing.

And when I was in South Korea, I knew I'd be back in Canada driving crazy kilometers to find the pickled yellow radishes they served with every meal. Those are the best.

432 Perfessor, technically, (akchuallly) kimchi is pretty much any vegetable lactofermented with lots and lots of chili and Doenjangguk (which is a soybean paste like miso, but definitely isn't miso because miso is Japanese) .

Napa cabbage is the main type of kimchi, as is daikon, or daikon leaves, but anything will do.

Hard core kimchi also has raw oysters, tiny shrimp and maybe baby octopuses in it too, it gives it a lot of "umami"
I am told the type of kimchi you make is dependent on the weather since during the hot summer it gets ripe too fast.
