Running Dog Lackeys Cafe

peperamirez76.jpg
@peperamirez76

On the catwalk...

Arctic fox checks out a nature photographer.

Pupper stamps out a tornado. (It's old.)

Europe and the US.

I linked this last month but: Dog gets out late and night and rings the doorbell to be let back in.

Where did he go??!

Another jealous bird.

Is this a building for ANTS?

Mama dog wants her puppy back.

I'm not sure she's the real mother.

Widower adopts a shelter dog.

Ba-by snail, doo-do-do-do...

Welfare is making bears lazier and lazier.

Bonzo Dachshund.

Classic Coke vending machine.

Doggo meets the new kittens.

A cat enters the Mirror Dimension.

Putting an iron ball heated to 1000 degrees F on to a pineapple skin. Why do this? I don't know, but USAID paid $63 million for it. Also, some condoms for Nigerian teenagers.

Poor dog lost her front legs, so she decided she'd just have to walk on two legs.

Jumping off a building.

Grease shreds.

Dog interrupts soccer game for belly rubs. Oustanding flopping-form.

I just posted this in the past couple of weeks, but in case you missed it:

For a long time, I've fought a lonely crusade trying to make the world understand that Bears Are Out of Control.

This guy gets it, and gives the Bear Menace a taste of its own medicine.

This SNAP thing demonstrates how fucked up this up. In order for a state to eliminate sodas and junk food from SNAP eligibility, it must ask for a waiver. No waivers are granted.

RFK, Jr. and co are saying, step right up, get your waivers right here. WV was the first to apply, and will eliminate soda and also put in a work requirement. You want the state to feed you, no sugary drinks, and you must work.

And Bobby told the governor, to his face, "You look like you ate the governor!" And he's gonna put him on a "carnivore" diet, and make him weigh in every month.

I read the explanation at the link. Something about how VERRRYYY hot items vaporize all the moisture in the other thing, which creates a layer of hot water between them, which prevents the moist thing from burning to a crisp.

It would have been different if the steel ball had stayed hot or the pineapple rind had been something dry, like a newspaper or a dry towel.

I like this. WV is the most obese state in the union. Not that a lot of the rest have too much room to point fingers, but it's the worst. And the governor is representative of that. He's not JB Pritzker or Chris Christie, but as Bobby told him, in public, he could stand to lose 30 lbs easy. A good start.

So, take the governor of the fattest state, and get him shaped up. That's a pretty good PR move for this whole MAHA thing.

Speaking of bees, I had this giant fuzzball of an insect come flying into the room yesterday as I was painting. I think it was a carpenter bee. I swatted it in flight with the paint roller, and it hit the floor and scurried under a couch. Later, I saw it on a window sill, bouncing against the glass in an attempt to escape. I caught it in a large jar, and gave it a drink of gasoline, which completely pacified it.

158 Proposed California ballot initiative ‘Luigi Mangione Act’ would make it harder for insurers to deny medical care
https://t.co/thuLUXtaei

A proposed California ballot initiative, named after alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione, has been recently submitted to the California Attorney General’s Office.
The initiative would make it illegal for an insurance company to “delay, deny or modify any medical procedure or medication” suggested by a licensed physician in the Golden State, which could have serious consequences such as “disability, death, amputation, permanent disfigurement, loss or reduction of any bodily function,” the document stated.

Anyways, the cats were laying on the bed in the guest bedroom. When I go in there, they just stretch and purr. I lay down and pet them, so much purring.

I put them out about 6pm. Until tomorrow.

Any vehicle that hasn't moved for several days... bingo.

Saw a few wasps around the edge of hubby's car trunk lid, last weekend. It was very warm out, so waited until yesterday to investigate: it was 55F and misty evening, I wore gloves & had can of hornet spray ready! Popped trunk... nothing but old and empty honeycombs *all up and down the sides of trunk lid* so I guess they hatched and left.

Sweep and stomp time! LOL. Hubby's car hasn't been driven for 4 years; it could've been much worse. There were some on door edges too, but they were old & inactive.

Do better, Homan! Nail their feet to the floor with a Hilti gun.

180 The sting of a big Red Wasp is the worst! I got stung by a scorpion in Arizona once, and while it was bad, it was really only a little bit worse than a Red Wasp sting. I put them at about 5 times stronger than a Yellowjacket.

Many of us would give anything to have that.

Have a great weekend!

And you could plaster it with mud if you made rudimentary laths.

187 Well, that won't hurt my premiums. Never mind what happened to my property insurance (doubled).

Oh, and of course it won't also degrade the quality of care people get under MediCal -- unless they're illegal aliens, in which case, let's give them a courtesy ambulance from Tijuana to Stanford and whisk them into a private room for their 5-way bypass!

Not only the sheer insanity and economic suicide, but they are tripling down and naming the bill after a literal murderer. Wow.

Next they will name a law legalizing rape and murder and name it after next illegal alien that commits a high profile one.

188 I was at a food festival a few years ago. I bought a gyro and was walking when I noticed movement at the corner of my eye. It was a yellowjacket, eyeing up my gyro. I stopped, couldn't really shoo it away, hands were full. The yellowjacket slowly made its way to a piece of hanging gryo meat, landed on it, wiggled it off, and flew off. Didn't know what yellowjackets ate but I guess gyro meat is fine.

189 Puddleglum-- yellowjackets *love* meat.

Having a picnic near the woods? Hang out some cheapo hotdogs 20-30 yards away.. keep the yj's busy while you party in peace.

That is disturbing on so many levels. Basically it's disturbing anytime I learn of an animal that will eat meat (or other animals) when I had no idea of it before.

192 My brother tried to set up a yellowjacket trap, near his cabin... said the b@stards were right on him as soon as he tore open the "attractant" package & he had to abandon the project, undone. Nasty things!

What the heck is wrong with that detention center? They have a super-dangerous detainee and he ESCAPES? Were the following the Ted Bundy Detention protocol or what?

Given it’s Seattle, an inside job is likely.
