Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 2/5/25![]() Good morning kids. The big story this morning remains not only President Trump's Gaza plan whatever it is or whatever it might actually be and the reactions to it. First of all, regardless of whatever my personal feelings are towards the so-called "palestinian" residents of Gaza, and whatever Trump's intentions and feelings are, to forcibly or otherwise coerce/induce them to leave for other pastures, greener or otherwise, would be considered as "Ethnic cleansing" and as such from an international relations standpoint as well as a PR standpoint would be and should be considered as a non-starter. He has also suggested turning Gaza into a Riviera on the Mediterranean where the inhabitants would flourish, if only they'd give up trying to annihilate Israel. If only, if only. As many have speculated, Trump putting these schemes down and also claiming the US will own Gaza is his way of laying down an opening bid as if this were merely one of his signature deals, wherein the other side will accept perhaps something a bit less and then everyone comes out a winner. Unfortunately I think this betrays on his part a rather naive if not uninformed knowledge of the region and its history, and to me this is kind of shocking. Unless what he is hoping for is merely a reaction by enemies foreign and domestic that he can point a finger of blame at and expose the problem. Look, I love the guy and I think as far as America, Israel and our real allies are concerned he does indeed have their and our best interests at heart. But this whole scheme is nuts to think it actually would work out. On Wednesday’s broadcast of “CBS Mornings,” White House National Security Adviser Mike Waltz stated that President Donald Trump’s Gaza proposal is “going to bring the entire region to come with their own solutions, if they don’t like Mr. Trump’s solutions.” And that other realistic solutions have been lacking. . . . . . Waltz continued, “I think it’s going to bring the entire region to come with their own solutions, if they don’t like Mr. Trump’s solutions. So, that’s what we saw, and I think that is just living in the commonsense, practical reality of this awful situation that’s going on in Gaza and has been going on for quite some time.”Sadly, what seems to be lacking is Waltz's understanding of history. Let me break it to you gently Director Waltz, the rest of the region has had a solution for 1500 years: It's called finishing Hitler's Final Solution, also known as Mohammed's Initial Solution! To be charitable to Trump, Waltz and company, I'm sure they know this, but the real solution to the problem, is recognizing that the problem itself is Islam. Even if you move a couple million Gazans, you still have 1.5 billion muslims seeking to kill every Jew and other infidel on the planet so as to create an Islamic caliphate that encompasses the entirety of said planet Earth. The estimable Robert Spencer and others have written and spoken of (When they've been allowed) of the Ummah, or worldwide Islamic rule. This is preached in every Mosque and madrassa on a daily basis. Unless and until you can at a minimum get the Islamic world to renounce this and its views on Jews and infidels, You can build Rivieras out the wahzoo and it won't mean a damn thing. Look at Bali in Indonesia? Look at Dubai, Qatar and Bahrain. And look at Beirut circa pre-1975. The fate of all the others will ultimately be Beirut, not because of the bombs and shells from the IDF defending itself or God-forbid avenging yet another October 7 assault/pogrom which would be bloodier by orders of magnitude. It would be at that behest and by the hands of subsequent generations of Mad Mullahs itching to purge non-Islamic western corruption. See Iran post the Shah and Afghanistan post the Red Army's defeat. You can destroy and rebuild cities. A tyrannical, genocidal bloodlust going back nearly two millennia is quite something else, Mr. President. Gazans don't want the Riviera. They could've had it decades ago. If what you wanted to do was just expose this ugly truth to the world, this whole Riviera and/or mass relocation dog and pony show IMHO has fallen flat and could come back to bite you. We'll have to wait and see. Fortunately, on many other fronts both here and abroad, the steamrolling of the anti-American Left continues, with much rending of cloth and wailing from the usual suspects. With that, I'll give you the headless chicken cognitive dissonance of the Democrats with these two headlines. Here's the shot: ‘So Pathetic’: Long-Time Dem Operative Says Dems Fear Trump’s Success As They’ll Have Nothing To Sell To The PublicNow here's the chaser!: Former Biden Campaign Official Thinks Solution To Dem Woes Is To Trot Out AOC, Far-Left RepOf course, when all else fails, call for mass violence in the streets and assassinations of Trump, his cabinet and everyone of us. On Monday, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) sat down with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow on Monday evening to talk about the executive actions of President Donald Trump and his apparent targeting USAID. Raskin did his best to whip up an extreme amount of fervor and practically radicalize the left's base into protest and possibly violent action against their ideological and political counterparts. It was thrilling and exhilarating to see hundreds of people show up on just a couple hours notice that we were going to have a press conference outside of [US]AID today. So there’s tremendous popular fervor here, and that’s giving everybody a lot of confidence and showing that we’re not afraid of these people. They might be attempting a coup against America, but we’re going to stop them, and we’re going to use every means available to us.Maybe pre-placed pallets of bricks, fired FBI agents who can team up with Antifa and BLM stooges to hunt team Trump down in their homes and "get in their faces" as Maxine Love Canal Waters urged back in Trump's first term. of course, when all else fails, there's always Impeachment! Put me in the camp of: I do not believe Trump would put US troops in Gaza under any circumstances. He’s trying to find a deal. Personally I still think he’s making a mistake to put too much focus there; his best approach would be to assure Israel we’ll support whatever they have to do and put mucho pressure on Iran to break their economy Meanwhile DOGE is over the target. Maddow last night was whining that USAID cuts have already cost more than 50,000 private sector jobs. I’m not following the logic…. Oh and kids are starving. In other good news, Trump kicked that coast guard DEI admiral woman out of her living quarters. Winning Posted by: LinusVanPelt at February 06, 2025 07:46 AM (6RwsA) 33

For example, a priest might begin a sermon by asking who in the congregation has gotten a parking ticket.
The priest then explains that being in the U.S. without documents is a civil, not a criminal, violation. It’s no different than a parking ticket. Donald Trump’s Gaza proposal is “going to bring the entire region to come with their own solutions, if they don’t like Mr. Trump’s solutions.”
That has to be why he put it out there, to bring Saudi Arabia to the fore and get the whole 'regions of responsibility' thing going. How Trump Can Make Universities Great Again
Excluding grants for legitimate research... Universities are only eligible to receive federal dollars, include direct student grants, if they meet the following criteria: - Some minimum percentage of the total non-housing expense a student faces must go toward actual education. - Some minimum percentage of the student accepted must graduate. - Some minimum percentage of graduates must be able to find work in the field of their degree. Further, federal grants should only be given to students pursuing a degree in a field of importance - generally STEM. The federal government should not guarantee loans. - Getting it both ways, too: "to eliminate subsidies for candy and sugary sodas which dominate the lion’s share of food stamp dollars while driving chronic disease." I'm betting the hint is the last four words, though. If we've learned nothing else over the last five years, it's that the healthcare industry is very, very much more industry than healthcare. I bet we'll find out that there's some lobbyist / USAID money laundering going in between organizations to make sure people keep getting sick.
The leftist media will spin this, of course, despite it being nothing of the sort. From an American perspective, I like Trump's plan for Gaza.
If America is going to be fiscally responsible for funding the defense of the area, and if it's chief principal interest in the area is strategic, we might as well just take it for ourselves, put a military base on it, and then create a tax base there. With Trump's resorts in Dubai, he understands that Arabs aren't necessarily inclined to war and terror when they are able to prosper financially in western capitalist areas. I say go for it. If it's our responsibility to defend the area, then we should have authority on what to do with it. This idea that Israel can keep screwing up their own security and calling daddy in to come fix it while still claiming it's theirs to do with it as they like is ridiculous. Basically showing how powerless our enemies truly are. They rule by fear and intimidation and keep their people in abject poverty and ruin. Trump knows. Instead of bowing to their grand power shows, Trump comes along and says hey wouldn't this be nice if your people were *thriving* instead? "This is what true power actually looks like. Like me. Like America. We look like this AND we'll blow your head off with our big beautiful military." Makes them into the joke they are. It might not move anything but it definitely dents their pride. On the whole Gaza issue, I agree with you. As you know, I am a 100% AlwaysTrump voter. But on this topic, any new visions or hopeful projections are wishful thinking. I'll give President Trump kudos for bringing a different idea to the fore, yet nothing will ever change until the Gazans reject Hamas and their murderous ideology. Until that day comes, they deserve to live as rats in that human sewer they made of their country. And on the topic of human sewers, watching our President sic DOGE upon the corrupt D.C. gravy train and sending the Dems and their legacy media propagandists screaming for the hills is quite enjoyable. Now all we need is new AG Bondi to investigate and begin deserved prosecutions against this lot of grifters and Bolshevic tyrants. Posted by: Tracy at February 06, 2025 08:30 AM (IGfto) 165

Posted by: LinusVanPelt at February 06, 2025 08:10 AM (6RwsA) One possible benefit of Trump pushing his plan is that when everyone in the region rejects it, he has a reason to refuse to get involved in all of the reconstruction that they want to do. (They’ve been counting on the US to finance reconstruction) I think the most likely future is that Gaza continues as it is now for maybe a decade or more - in complete ruins with miserably angry people living in tents. Only radical solutions can change that, and if radical solutions are not acceptable the status quo continues indefinitely. Posted by: Tom Servo at February 06, 2025 08:31 AM (Md44Z) 167

Trump’s pitch to rebuild Gaza isn’t to us. I agree that we cannot “fix” Gaza nor the CHUD mutants who live there.
But the “Arab world” can. They created this mess. They can uncreate it. If they finally decide to rid themselves of this troublesome priest, Gaza will be cleaned up in 48 hours and nobody will ever hear from “Palestinians” ever again. They build Dubai from dirt. They can rebuilt Gaza overnight. It’s only a question of will. These are who Trump is pitching his plan to. Posted by: Elric Blade at February 06, 2025 08:34 AM (zgEi/) 178

Scott Adams @ScottAdamsSays 19h Trump’s out-of-nowhere idea of America owning Gaza is so provocative you could miss how easily he made us think past the sale. I mean the real sale. Not the one you’re thinking. Trump just told the world the fate of Gaza is his decision. And we zipped right past that sale to bitch about how much we hate the idea. Or love it. Now we’re locked in that frame, uncritically accepting it is his decision. And he made Netanyahu watch. We’ve never seen this level of skill. Reality is bending. Joel Pollak @joelpollak 19h Best take yet on Trump/Gaza proposal comes from @G_CURLEY: it’s like an exasperated wife telling her husband she’s going to get the hammer and nails and hang the picture frames herself, which irritates him enough to get up off the TV couch and do what she’s been asking after all. There is an odor about the “protests”, moreso than the usual gaslighting that always accompanies them. I don’t believe they will resonate, they lost control of the narrative, and trying to defend the indefensible is not going to galvanize people the way they will hope. The more they screech (and they can’t help it) the more support they will lose. It’s like trying to fix price inflation by printing up more currency.
Their base is going to see how the sausage is made. Everyone has a front row seat these days. If anything their wind up toys will turn on them. They get crumbs, their “leaders” get multiple mansions and live like kings. Oops Posted by: Common Tater at February 06, 2025 08:45 AM (+oHAL) 221

What is Israel's Ben Gurion canal plan and why Gaza matters (2023) | Sarah Khalil, The New Arab As Israel intensifies its Gaza onslaught, focus turns to the controversial Ben Gurion Canal Project, originally proposed in the 1960s as an alternative to the Suez Canal. As Israel continues its onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip, talks about a long-discussed economic opportunity known as the Ben Gurion Canal Project have surfaced online. Named after Israel's founding father, David Ben-Gurion, the project, conceived in the late 1960s, sought to create an alternative route to the Suez Canal, the primary shipping route connecting Europe and Asia. While Israel rejects calls for a ceasefire and its military campaign on Gaza shows no sign of an immediate end, it becomes crucial to delve into the historical context of the Ben Gurion Canal Project, its proposed significance, and the intricate geopolitics surrounding the Suez Canal. Pretty sure Brennan converted to Islam while he was the CIA Station Chief in Riyadh.
Posted by: Lizzy at February 06, 2025 08:59 AM (WbBbu) What's interesting is where you see people claiming it's not true. He most certainly converted. When has he ever renounced the claim? Never. So why hide it? Posted by: BurtTC at February 06, 2025 09:02 AM (kobze) 301
Brennan does not think the CIA should be effective, he thinks it needs to be "inclusive". He thinks DEI is superior to merit.

Posted by: TeeJ at February 06, 2025 08:54 AM (hM2Rg) Latin was already more or less a clerical language by the time of the gospels. Nobody had walked around speaking only Latin for a good long while. You had your local language or vernacular, you had common (koine) Greek for daily business, and used Latin for formal government stuff, religious stuff, academic and artsy fartsy stuff, etc. It's why the books of the new testament were all in Greek i would assume. It was a universal language, but also an everyday language. You didn't need to be a scholar. There isn't obtuse, flowery language in it very much. "This is what happened. And then.... and then... and then...." It was to tell a story to anyone willing to hear it, not to be a government record or some kind of work of art. Who cares what Brennan thinks what the CIA should or shouldn't be? I am so tired of DC and the MSM giving this man legitimacy. It's likely because he still has some unchecked, uninvited sway on the CIA, and that needs to STOP. If you believe there's been a shadow government, it's fairly obvious this man has been right in the center of it.
Posted by: Lizzy at February 06, 2025 09:02 AM (WbBbu) I think it reveals even more than that. Where does he go when he wants to put his narrative out there? Who's funding those places where he goes? The answer is, they all work for the same entity. Posted by: BurtTC at February 06, 2025 09:04 AM (kobze) 311

My late wife was a Registered Dietitian who sometimes consulted for a Cardiac Rehab. Most clients were overweight. At intake, she would do a survey on what they ate in a 24 hour period. After telling what they had for dinner many would say-"then I have some cookies for dessert". Wife would ask-how many" Answer was usually-"a row".
Wife's weight never deviated more than a couple pounds from age 26 to age 66. She practiced what she preached. Svelte, lovely, but gone too soon. We had 40 years together, for which I am eternally grateful. Posted by: MAHA at February 06, 2025 09:04 AM (G5+As) 314

I never thought there would be a time that we could sneer at the smart set to now learn to code. God takes his time and chooses unlikely people like Trump and Musk to exact his revenge. Politico was sold in 2021 to German publisher Alex Springer.
Much of the money paid to Politico comes from various “Green Energy” programs that were said at the time to be simply avenues to pump money to Dem party interest groups under the guise of attempting to boost the economy. What was Alex Springer being paid to produce? It will take a while but you are going to find out that family members of folks elected to Congress, as well as family members of folks who have populated senior positions in both Dem. and GOP Administrations, have lucrative places within the industries funded by USAID. This has long been the main source of nepo-corruption. It is much easier to enrich the families of politicians via public funds sent in their direction that it is to enrich the politicians themselves. There are many ways to do the latter, but simply creating Govt funded organizations for one obscure purpose or another, which are then headed by members of the extended family of politicians with great benefits and perks, is time-tested and bipartisan. The pushback is going to be the same. Posted by: SMOD at February 06, 2025 09:42 AM (GITLP) Posted by: Sharkman at February 06, 2025 09:44 AM (BRvvM) 457

I expect that the people who had USAID jobs will become the new resistance against Trump. I hope other malevolent agencies or individuals don't pay to arm and train them.

I think we all need to calm down here regarding Gaza. Trump is not stupid, nor is his cabinet.
Personally, I think he is messaging away from the words Palestine and Palestinians, in every way possible as a start. "How can anyone live in that hellhole." showing pictures at press conferences, etc. He also made it public that Iran will be incinerated if anything happens to him. Our ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, is referring to 'the West Bank' as Judea and Samaria as we should be. Don't jump to conclusions before his economic policies are implemented. Scott Adams
@ScottAdamsSays Democrats are terrified of DOGE and Musk because they have never witnessed this degree of competence. It looks alien to them. I mean that literally. People with experience see in DOGE a process that is necessarily messy but 100% on target in terms of speed, talent, and energy applied. To the inexperienced, it probably looks like a combination of chaos and a bank heist. I pity the inexperienced. Posted by: SMOD at February 06, 2025 09:53 AM (GITLP) 463

For Matt 24 to have been about 70AD you would have to be able to say who committed the abomination of desolation (vs 15) as described by Paul in 2Thess 2:1-5. His coming (vs 30) and gathering of the elect (vs 31). Those two verses are clearly the same event as 1Thess 4:16-17. Then the day of the Lord would have begun the same day as His coming. Trumpets and bowls. The 70th week of Daniel has yet to occur. 9:24-26 were fulfilled in 30AD. Verse 27 is yet to be. Posted by: TeeJ at February 06, 2025 10:08 AM (hM2Rg) 466

Nero never went to Jerusalem and also committed suicide in 68AD. Couldn't have been the man of sin, son of perdition. The anti-christ. Rapture theology has been around since the earliest of the church fathers. Written about in the Didache. But NOT the pre-trib rapture. They wrote of persecution under the anti-christ before Christ's coming and the rapture. Hope you've stuck around. This is more important than "art." Yes, I'm so late. Mea culpa, doctor visits, lousy weather, too.
And so, want to find who worked on what within the FBI? Time & attendance records. Most - if not all - agencies working "cases," "inspections" MUST have related tracking numbers for managers to see who's working on what, how many hours, etc. Most are probably maintained weekly by agent/inspector & then closed & forwarded biweekly to management to certify & to timekeeping for ee. payment, accounting for sick and/or annual leave taken, etc. A nice tracking system for how many hours were spent on a particular case, by whom, etc. BTW feds are 'taught' never lie about time and attendance because it's theft. (Still happens often but can be caught & repaired if the ee. is "valued" enough.) Also, never sign anything other than an agency case file - if in control of that case - because that's stating accuracy, honesty of the file. >Also, see FBI jobs "Special Agent FAQ 2023-03" Waivers, fitness, background investigation process; disqualifiers; and also, "How will having a family affect my career as an FBI Special Agent?" Part time - 16 and 32 hr. a week - is available. Holy cow! Posted by: L - No nic, another day at February 06, 2025 12:48 PM (NFX2v) 469
