The Delaware Memorial Bridge is my regular nightmare when travelling up the coast. Inside left lane and eyes locked front. No talking, whatsoever. I once grossed out my wife by showing her how sweaty my palms were once we got to the other side.

Posted by: Carlyl at November 06, 2024 09:42 AM (vzCvX) Ah, the recriminations. Truth is that they all own this: they nominated Biden even though it was obvious that he was suffering from cognitive decline, and they accepted a VP nominee because of her skin color and XX chromosomes who got (checks calculator) zero votes, they ran a basement campaign, a basement """presidency,"""" another basement campaign, and generally shit-Midas'd everything they touched - the border, the economy, Israel, men in women's sports, an attempted vaccine mandate, the Afghanistan withdrawal, and too much more to name here. There is plenty of credit to go around for this loss. The dems are not going to fix this with a bandaid. They need systemic, foundational change, and they cannot countenance that. Dave in Fla, Baris, and Barnes were right. Dems can’t magically print infinite ballots. You can’t stuff a ballot box if you don’t have the ballots. And you can’t have ballots without registrations. 419 Dave in Fla, Baris, and Barnes were right. Dems can’t magically print infinite ballots. You can’t stuff a ballot box if you don’t have the ballots. And you can’t have ballots without registrations. Dems didn’t register like they did in 2020, and they failed at early voting. They’re not ten feet tall.
Posted by: electronic means at November 06, 2024 10:00 AM (VV/8N) I thought I was hearing that the Dems simply didn't show up. Basically because Kamala sucked so bad. Trump ran the best campaign in US presidential history. It should be required study in all political/history courses, but probably won't 'cause Orange Man Bad. The obvious, real fun he was having may have been key. If I had to criticize anything maybe it would be the MSG rally. I loved it, but a final push in VA may have turned it red. The rally gave the MSM/donks another opportunity to scream "Nazi," but they so overplayed their hand that Trump seemed ready with the "garbage" jujitsu. All-in-all, just masterful. 71M to 66M doesn't seem like that much of a mandate to me, but whatever.
Well, it shows Republicans lost 3 million votes compared to 2020, while Democrats lost 15 million. That shows the nation has significantly soured on the Democratic Party, which may help Trump bully congress into passing a few of his legislative priorities. Think, too, of the analysis if Harris had won. The story would be women turned out because of abortion, and the Republican party would need to deal with the troublesome Pro-Lifers that weigh them down. Instead, Dems have to ask "why are minorities (and especially men) leaving the party", and potentially start making changes. Fettermonster, due to the special gifts his brain damage gave him, seems to see this, and has been trying to warn his party, to no avail. early voters who sent in R ballots to demonrat jurisdictions had their ballots disappeared. easy peasy that's why I showed up in person to vote, I live in a demonrat county. also, recall how in 2020 6k votes were switched in MI, but an astute precinct leader caught it? This year, when the registration deadline came up, 2500 faux registrations were discovered in Lancaster County PA. The only reason they were detected is 'cause it's GOP country. ---------------- This is not the end. There was a time when the states all voted on limiting gun rights ... eventually the tide and public shifted on this. MSNBC and the New York Times also acknowledged that Trump won. Indeed. The results we're celebrating are NOT official, so they're probably scheming to see if there might still be a way to steal it. "'Time is running out,' Professor Allan Lichtman was heard saying on the since-wrapped election livestream , posted to his YouTube account. 'Trump has maintained his lead in Pennsylvania,' he said around 1am, before it and six others - all of the 'swing' variety - fell to the former president. The result was a landslide most hadn't expected - Lichtman himself included. He previously predicted a Kamala Harris win - something that failed to come to fruition as the stream played out." Colorado voters have enshrined abortion (without impediment) as an explicit enumerated right as an amendment to the State Constitution.
---------------- SCROTUS may eventually find unconstitutional as it makes no good faith effort to limit it to "viability" - IOW as opponents say, legalizing murder. Posted by: Itinerant Alley Butcher at November 06, 2024 10:35 AM (OWOrZ) I haven't seen the language, but it seems some of these ballot measures on baby killing were oddly worded. I think it was expected to be a two-step process, as in they still have to work out the details, and states can limit abortion, they just can't out and out ban it. Or something like that, I'll wait for the legal beagles to sort it all out. Posted by: BurtTC at November 06, 2024 10:43 AM (dGCAG) 795

AP, CNN and Reuters have Trump over 270 only because of calling Wisconsin.
Because of the early morning ballots coming out of Milwaukee, the difference is only 30,000 votes. Kamala will not concede until Alex Soros decides he cannot come up with 30,000 ballots for Kamala or disqualify the same for Trump in Wisconsin, and similar in other uncalled states. They may try to monkey around with overseas ballots or late mail-in ballots. Don't be surprised if she doesn't concede and they litigate for recounts in Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona, maybe other. His support has only grown, as has Republican registration. Posted by: MrExcitement at November 06, 2024 10:51 AM (hOOi9) 862
>>Kamala concession speech: "As someone raised in a middle class household, I understand why the past is important how we need to unburden ourselves from the way things used to be and look forward to another chance to deliver the past into the past so we can all look forward to a better tomorrow. So, join with me in working for middle class America we can be proud of."
"We asked the voters to vote, and they voted their vote, but not enough of the voters voted, so the vote was not the vote we asked of the voters. We had speculated that Kamala might be made President during the lame duck session, just to say she was the first woman President. But that's not going to happen now, she's about to become an un-person to the entire dem party. It's like in the James Bond movies where the Big Boss confronts one of his agents who has totally screwed things up - AIEEEE!!! Into the Shark Tank!!!
Posted by: Tom Servo Kamala was a puppet. She never had a "faction" of her own. She was just another chess piece to move around, probably Obama's influence. She should never have been where she was and everybody knows it. She'll be pawned off to some emeritus chair in some college faculty and simply ignored from then on. ...until the Diddy/Epstein purges begin, of course. I'd like to know why the left is talking about Kamala's "flawless" campaign? I know it's an op being run on the left, but, to what purpose?
Are the campaign managers trying to distance themselves from the candidate? Basically knifing her in the front by saying, "It wasn't the campaign" therefore blaming the candidate? Posted by: blake - semi lurker in marginal standing (tT6L1) at November 06, 2024 10:54 AM (tT6L1) 867

I’m glad Cruz got a convincing victory this time.
Agreed but if he runs again (3 terms in the Senate should be enough IMO) or runs for something else like governor, I sure would like to see him fight for it like he means it. Posted by: Oddbob at November 06, 2024 10:57 AM (/y8xj) 870
You're going to accept the election results? Like, at face value?
Posted by: Jonah Goldberg at November 06, 2024 *** You accepted Obama's and Kamala's qualifications to be president at face value, didn't you? Posted by: Sergeant Majimoto at November 06, 2024 10:58 AM (J2vNu) 871
