The old Huey P. Long over the Miss. River, once nicknamed the Huey. P. Narrow, was pretty bad. High over the river, two narrow lanes built to accommodate cars of the 1930s, rising and curving . . . and a train bridge in the middle of it, so that at some point you might have a roaring locomotive and thundering boxcars over to your left. Imagine that on a dark and stormy night --!

The state has redone it into a superhighway now. But the old bridge was nerve-wracking.

Ah, the recriminations. Truth is that they all own this: they nominated Biden even though it was obvious that he was suffering from cognitive decline, and they accepted a VP nominee because of her skin color and XX chromosomes who got (checks calculator) zero votes, they ran a basement campaign, a basement """presidency,"""" another basement campaign, and generally shit-Midas'd everything they touched - the border, the economy, Israel, men in women's sports, an attempted vaccine mandate, the Afghanistan withdrawal, and too much more to name here.

There is plenty of credit to go around for this loss. The dems are not going to fix this with a bandaid. They need systemic, foundational change, and they cannot countenance that.

483 First thing Trump oughta do is yank the security clearances for the 51 experts on Hunter's laptop - forever.

Then yank the security clearance on those 700+ experts who signed the letter not to vote for Trump. Each one can be considered on a case by case basis whether they get their clearance back with the rebuttable presumption that they don't.

585 71M to 66M doesn't seem like that much of a mandate to me, but whatever.

Well, it shows Republicans lost 3 million votes compared to 2020, while Democrats lost 15 million. That shows the nation has significantly soured on the Democratic Party, which may help Trump bully congress into passing a few of his legislative priorities.

Think, too, of the analysis if Harris had won. The story would be women turned out because of abortion, and the Republican party would need to deal with the troublesome Pro-Lifers that weigh them down. Instead, Dems have to ask "why are minorities (and especially men) leaving the party", and potentially start making changes.

Fettermonster, due to the special gifts his brain damage gave him, seems to see this, and has been trying to warn his party, to no avail.

657 Republican registration was up significantly. Why would Republican voting be DOWN? Maybe that's more evidence of vote-switching and R voter suppression. There was plenty of shenanigans going on.

early voters who sent in R ballots to demonrat jurisdictions had their ballots disappeared.

easy peasy

that's why I showed up in person to vote, I live in a demonrat county.

also, recall how in 2020 6k votes were switched in MI, but an astute precinct leader caught it?

This year, when the registration deadline came up, 2500 faux registrations were discovered in Lancaster County PA.
The only reason they were detected is 'cause it's GOP country.

Who knows how many of those faux registrations were sent to the Philly collar?
It's a miracle that Bucks County flipped.

This is not the end. There was a time when the states all voted on limiting gun rights ... eventually the tide and public shifted on this. Eventually the tide and public will shift on abortion. But getting it out of the political discourse for national elections was step one. Now let the states vote and litigate and decide until the public slowly starts shrinking it down.

'Trump has maintained his lead in Pennsylvania,' he said around 1am, before it and six others - all of the 'swing' variety - fell to the former president. The result was a landslide most hadn't expected - Lichtman himself included. He previously predicted a Kamala Harris win - something that failed to come to fruition as the stream played out."

I haven't seen the language, but it seems some of these ballot measures on baby killing were oddly worded.

I think it was expected to be a two-step process, as in they still have to work out the details, and states can limit abortion, they just can't out and out ban it.

Or something like that, I'll wait for the legal beagles to sort it all out.

I think murder is a matter of local law - not really a Constitutional issue. It could be that the only way to turn this sickness around is election integrity. People don't legitimately vote for that stuff - not even Dems. Even in NY, Dems probably were told that what they were voting for was really something other than what it was.

Because of the early morning ballots coming out of Milwaukee, the difference is only 30,000 votes.

Kamala will not concede until Alex Soros decides he cannot come up with 30,000 ballots for Kamala or disqualify the same for Trump in Wisconsin, and similar in other uncalled states.

They may try to monkey around with overseas ballots or late mail-in ballots.

Don't be surprised if she doesn't concede and they litigate for recounts in Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona, maybe other.
