Love Is Blind Cafe

Roman Empire

This stunning aerial view of the Parco degli Acquedotti, south east of Rome. The park is named for its seven aqueducts which supplied the city with water.

Dog and cat are caught in a compromising position.

Cuddle-buddies.

Freeing a sea turtle tangled in a plastic fishing net.

Gand-arf.

This art needs my urine.

Doggie Uber.

BEWARE OF GUARD DOGS!

Speaking of guard dogs -- this dog fails at noticing 8-foot-tall monsters lurking.

Will these geese react if their owner pretends to faint?

Wiener guard dog.

I'm a scary monster, rrrrargh.

Aw -- Spanish soccer players bring out stray dogs to show them off to possible adopters.

More monkeys adopting cats.

A National Guard Chinook helicopter's low landing at a relief camp in Western North Carolina resulted in over $100,000 in damage, ripping apart tents, supplies, and vehicles, and sending three people to the hospital.

When confronted, the officer in charge gave a casual "oops" and no details, leaving only the helicopter's tail number.

Later, a public affairs officer stepped in to apologize and offer information for filing a complaint.

96 If Trump wants to counter the advantage with women that the abortion issue seems to give Harris, there is another clear issue that appeals strongly to women, where he has demonstrated strength and accomplishment...

PEACE through strength!

The challenge is to get through to those women who believe appeasement and pacificism fosters peace. But Trump is no pacifist, and he demonstrably gave us peace! Biden and Harris are appeasers, and look conflicts they have given us.

Trump needs to say it loud: if you want peace, I have shown that I know how to secure it... but If you like war, elect Harris and get ready for more of it!!

It's a state issue. Period. Next question.

Pro lifers need to understand abortion will not go away. We need to spend our time and energy giving women the means to CHOOSE LIFE. Care while they are pregnant. Care and support, not just financial, but social, spiritual and holistic support for young women. Offer adoptions services. Get them post partum community support. Help them find a way to give that baby life, even if that means giving that baby up for adoption.

We aren't going to outlaw abortion. But we can offer a loving alternative.

I understand what I am about to say will be unpopular. But if a woman needs to be underwritten to not commit murder, I say screw it. Society spends a lot of money, both in tax dollars and charity, subsidizing the poor choices women make. I'm over it. If they want to kill their kid, just go ahead and do it. I'm not my sister's keeper. It's just not reasonable to expect me to pony up endless sums to women-related issues. I expect them to be adults, to plan and provide for themselves. Being that they are equals and all.

Synecdoche, New York.

Or as I call it, Charlie Kaufman, the Movie. I assume some people hate it, but it seems impossible to me, to watch it and not think all other movies are inferior.

Which doesn't mean other movies are less entertaining, just that the guy made a film you have to study, after you see it, and once you do you can appreciate it on levels you didn't realize when you were watching it the first time.

And the only actor who could have played the part is... P.S. Hoffman. It probably didn't, but I like to imagine this movie is what killed him.

I have that one and enjoyed for what it is: an abbreviated dramatic rendition. At 13 hours they would have to leave out a fair amount. I also have the unabbreviated narration of LOTR by Rob Inglis and the same narrated by Andy Serkis (Gollum in the movies). Both are excellent but I prefer the Serkis version.
