More or less a hedging strategy to buy precious metals and now crypto against increasingly worthless fiat currency.

Gresham's law indicates that during times where the government is purposefully devaluing the currency--you spend that currency as fast as you get it and put your savings into a store of wealth of some sort that increases in inverse relationship more or less with the degree of devaluation of that currency.

Not just Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They were, bluntly, the least of it. LeMay's firebombing raids killed more people than either, and wrought more destruction (albeit on a longer timeline) than either. Japan was uniquely vulnerable to firebombing, and we capitalized on it.

The leaflet campaign never mattered. What did the Japanese do? Sent their children out to collect the leaflets. They were higher-quality paper than Japan was able to produce at that point. It was useful stuff. The leaflet might have said that six of the ten cities on the reverse side would be destroyed within three months, but that was immaterial. The Japanese didn't overthrow their government. They went out to collect the leaflets to use as fuel.

They are most likely paying for those ralliers probably via giftcards, etc which has replaced walking around money. So, like the Auntie Fa rioting band, the Dems rely on paying itinerants to go here and there to commit crimes like ballot harvesting where illegal, registering non existent voters, harass the opposition, and so on. There is no requirement for no collateral damage in the rules of war. Only to minimize it. Calling it collateral absolves Israel of war guilt on its face as collateral damage is damage you did not intend. If you intend it, it is deliberate damage.

Or he's not the same guy. Russia has been careful about their own and Ukrainian civilian damage (shooting at night when people are not at work in buildings targeted, that sort of thing). But the infrastructure damage inflicted is bringing down the economy of Ukraine and having no power in winter this year will be a big problem for civilians.
