A seventh grade teacher beat the shit out of me in 1963. I pissed in my pants. Unbelievable embarrassment. I was a young kid very small in stature.
The cemetery looks like the place he was buried in. While sipping beers riding with my boys in high school. We found his grave: That is where I pissed. Yes a white beer piss. I’m not proud of this but I’m glad I did it. He was a horrible man who didn’t deserve to mentor young kids. In hindsight I think I did it for all the great teachers I have. Bottom line I became a biz leader, employer and a contributor to my neighborhoods. Posted by: Redenzo at September 12, 2024 07:38 PM (V/pbu) 17

Was on a Navy Port visit to the Bahamas... had a couple days off, got a hotel room... Came back for my Duty Day, and my ship was GONE... and a Cruise ship was there instead of my Helicopter Carrier. Was like... oh.... fuck... career ovah... Found out they had moved the ship to give the tourists better access to town... but almost had a heart attack. >>Came back for my Duty Day, and my ship was GONE... and a Cruise ship was there instead of my Helicopter Carrier.
Few years after college a bunch of us decided to take a cruise on one of the Carnival Cruise Lines party ships on the Mexican Rivera, Cabo, Mazatalan, etc.. A whole bunch of people from the boat ended up at Senior Frogs getting absolutely plastered on tequila at one of the stops. One of the more sober guys in my group noticed we were cutting it close so we got to a taxi and encouraged others to get moving. Some of them chose poorly. They had to rent a car and drive like hell to meet us at the next stop. Posted by: JackStraw at September 12, 2024 07:51 PM (LkLld) Posted by: Notorious BFD at September 12, 2024 07:51 PM (mH6SG) 43

I don't know if anyone here watched House of the Dragon, but there was an episode in which a character kicks a dog. You'll never guess what happened next. Yep, people were very upset at that character and it wasn't even a main character, but they did not like seeing someone perpetrate violence on a doggo. Aside from the fact these people cannot seperate a fake tv show from reality, it shows how little tolerance there is for hurting our favorite animals. Black Insurrectionist--I FOLLOW BACK TRUE PATRIOTS @DocNetyoutube
I will be releasing an affidavit from an ABC whistleblower regarding the debate. I have just signed a non-disclosure agreement with the attorney of the whistleblower. The affidavit states how the Harris campaign was given sample question which were essentially the same questions that were given during the debate and separate assurances of fact checking Donald Trump and that she would NOT be fact checked. Accordingly, the affidavit states several other factors that were built into the debate to give Kamala a significant advantage. I have seen and read the affidavit and after the attorney blacks out the name of the whistleblower and other information that could dox the whistleblower, I will release the full affidavit. I will be releasing the affidavit before the weekend is out. Posted by: andycanuck (CEzQx) at September 12, 2024 08:15 PM (CEzQx) 113

Lots of clear cutting you see when in the air. Didn't see any locals, the US Military kept them away from there toys. It's a pretty, with potential, Caribbean island and if Haiti ever gets there shit together, could be ok as a tourist destination. Even that is no bargain anymore. Tourist resorts in Mexico, Jamaica, DR, PR, etc all come with travel at your own risk warnings.

I know Women won't jump like MJ or anything, but hit your jumper or pass with intent to another player. Clark is different because she is playing the game hard, passing, making shots, and recently her team is doing so with her and they are actually enjoyable. I've seen that with women's softball - the game isn't baseball, its more like BB might have been in the 1890s with mushy balls but it looks like a contest And the fact that nearly 20 percent of technical fouls in the league this year were inflicted on Caitlin Clark is a disgrace to the WNBA and the refs. Bob - Good way to do it is go to a tasting at a local liquor store. There is a wide variety of bourbon tastes. Try as many as you can, straight. When you find one that tastes good to you, it will work great in a Old Fashioned. If it is some lesser known distillery, then you have scored.

Oh, and yeah, Caitlin looks great in highlight clips, but if you watch a full game, not so great (but she is improving ... still, in a women's league).
She got well trained early by her family (of at least one pro b-baller, I think). awesome. And maybe the fandom is about her ability. BUT, her fandom is also white America having a reason to watch the black and/or lesbian league. And now she comes across as Woke, breaking that "dream-casting" for at least half her fans? Posted by: Soothsayer: at September 12, 2024 09:02 PM (zeL/o) Mandatory minimum wage increases, and regulatory burdens on companies destroy entry level jobs, but even worse they destroy "customer experience" positions like boxboy, teller and gas jockey because in the beancounting end of management they don't "earn their keep" as they don't actually make money, they just convince people to come back because the experience was good. At some point the cost becomes so high and they have to have SOME people in customer facing position, other "back room positions" like the data entry positions, the mailroom supervisor, and the third VP of marketing and production start getting axed since they really don't earn their own wages either, no matter how close they are with the management clique. 315 chances are you wouldn’t pay taxes anyway as most of those positions are part time to avoid the mandatory benefits requirement, another Obamacare win. But what does happen is you claim that income, state and federal taxes are withheld on what is claimed and take out of your hourly rate that you get in addition to tips. You would then get it back when you filed at the end of the year, after the government borrowed it from you without paying interest.
Don’t forget, people are still paying taxes on whatever there hourly rate is, and in places like CA, that is going to be far more significant than the tips. Posted by: Piper at September 12, 2024 09:24 PM (GMx4K) 334

But now, if Clark is really "Woke", and trying to be friends with the leftist Woke league, it kinda changes much of the Caitlin phenomenon appeal. Just my opinion, but I think Caitlin submitting to the Swift endorsement of "Kommunism" changes the "Caitlin Phenomenon", and (at least half of) her supporters will notice. Ach, the image at the top of the thread is most heart-warming and merry. Werner is reminded of his childhood, where, if fortunate, the tyranny of the sun and its oppressive blue skies was banished by the sweet mists and darkness that grace all who are privileged to behold it.
And the Cafe, with its most sportive kitty hijinks, these gladden the soul. Yet Werner's enjoyment is marred by the reports of the theft and consumption of the felines and their doggy colleagues. Alas, though, this is not new, as such a horror emerged in Europe with the Scandis. Act not surprised; you have seen the works of Ingmar Bergman. Anyone who inflicted Fanny and Alexander on the public is capable of any iniquity. Werner speaks from experience. In the early Eighties, while making my way to Wrestlemania during my period of playing a Heel for Herr McMahon in partnership with my staunch friend and ally Rowdy Roddy Piper, a mistake in booking stranded Roddy and myself in Oslo. The horror that ensued still disturbs Werner's dreams. Of this, someday Werner will relate. For now, know that we and the kitties elected to kick asses and chew bubble gum, and of the gum we no longer had possession. Ach. Posted by: BeckoningChasm at September 12, 2024 09:54 PM (CHHv1) When you are looking at a piece you are doing for a long time, while doing it, you only see the flaws, and you only see what you expect to see, since that is what you are trying to put down, right? You need to distance once in a while and forget what you intended since that blocks what actually is. You only see the deficits, but you also miss some things you could do better. when I did pen and ink, I used to have to view things in a mirror and upside down to break my mental image of what I wanted, and to see what was there. Especially in composition and patterning behind the fiddly work. Posted by: Kindltot at September 12, 2024 10:01 PM (D7oie) 428
