Majorettes hang out with (or near) the band and perform during halftime. Otherwise, I have no clue. Just guessing here.

cheer is a group project lol. majorettes often work alone or maybe in a small spaced out group (because they're throwing stuff around).

one of our daughter's friends is part of the Miami (FL) band - majorettes are basically part of band. but she does baton.

Catholic Charities orgs are regionally based and largely independent of each other. That includes much, but not all, of their fund raising. The national umbrella org is pretty much Marxist but many of the regional chapters have written into their by laws no $$ for illegals.

I know the Eastern Regional Tennessee chapter has. That consists of 33 counties iirc.

That's a damned good point. A ring or disk configuration will be completely stable (no middle moment of inertia), but still prone to wobble due to perturbations.

And then, when you get astronauts moving themselves and other masses around, well you change the inertia tensor in the body frame, and may well then have a middle moment.

All of that would make for some complex station keeping requirements, and I'm sure limits on movement of mass inside.

351 Well, I am pooped. Going to hit the sack. Made good progress on fitting some old Toyota Supra bucket seats into the '83 El Camino. It's original seat is shot. I set the driver's seat on the floor, and it was comfy, but low, leaning against the rear bulkhead of the cabin. Needless to say, the Toyota seat tracks didn't come close to fitting the studs on the car floor, and there was no provision at all for inboard seat bolts for buckets. I have cut two 19" pieces of square steel tubing, with ends beveled at 45 degrees to clear the transmission tunnel and door sill. Welded in nuts a half-inch from each for the seat rail to be bolted to. Drilled holes to match the outboard floor studs, and similar holes on the inboard end of each tube. Once the are bolted down to the floor studs, and the seat test-fitted, I will simply drill through the inboard holes, through the carpet and floor, and use 8 mm bolts and big washers to secure the inboard end of each tube to the floor. Yes, the car has metric fasteners, so I figured I would stay metric for all the seat bolts. Makes it a little easier on the next guy.

If you can find them, the old electoral maps pre-1996, the party color alternated every four years. But then the media decided not to change it anymore, probably as you say because red was too obvious a color for the commie Dems.

Here, in 1980, Reagan won the electoral college as represented by the color blue.

I think the media stopped switching colors in 1996, setting in concrete the party colors as they currently stand, leading to the war-like 'blue team/red team' posturing within our politics now.

To me, this is a classic example of a Butterfly Effect. A small change 'here' which leads to significant -- yet unforeseen -- effect 'there'. Our politics has been irrevocably warped and coarsened by the blue team/red team paradigm created by the media.

Some may be, but no one brings to attention that it's more often investments, benefits & reliability of the workforce, along with an abundance of federal, state and municipal laws, plus real estate assessments, driving the changing demographics, not middle class.

23 million more people! Harris' 50K small business loans translate to nail bars/spas, healthcare at home, some daycare, vaping, 2nd hand car sales, insurance; all with high failure.

People often moved, found work, rebuilt, but that tiny town will have homes in the $450K plus range, plus hoa fees, far & wide in a few years.
