My wife and sons do not get accents. To the point that they think everyone not American sounds like Elmer Fudd.
One thing I notice is that British and Australian actors are better at picking up American accents than many American actors. A lot of American actors do the "I am a Southron" and they all sound like they're from Savannah.
For example: I had no clue Damien Lewis is English. Also Andrew Lincoln, right up until he called his kid "Coral."

In my part of Canada, the cable bill just arrived....tv, internet and phone for $159.83 Canadian.
We do have a special deal for 3 years since I was about to leave them but that's so you know...
Also, my usual grocery store chain is sending me emails giving me $30 back in points if I make a $100 online purchase with no fees. Compared to the US, companies were always cheap for promotion....but that's a pretty good offer...even if to drive a while and get out of the house.

Actress Gillian Anderson can switch between an American and British accent in mid-sentence. She spent much of her youth in London because her father was posted there by his US company. She learned to speak in an English accent, only. When the family returned to the US while Gillian was in high school, she quickly taught herself to speak in a mid-western American accent to stop being harassed by her Chicago suburb classmates. I am guessing there is some truth to the statement about failure to foster an effective command structure. I could see someone setting him up to make him look like the jerkoff he is, and then him taking it out on anyone and everyone, instead of just taking a joke. I know of at least one captain relieved of command for the same "failure to foster an effective command structure."

I've used frozen chopped greens in homemade beef soup before - collard once, usually mustard. our family wet green glop was spinach which I wasn't a fan despite it not tasting of much. I blame Popeye.
