France does not believe in free speech.

TOPLINE Billionaire Telegram CEO Pavel Durov was arrested in France on Saturday, multiple outlets reported, amid an apparent investigation into whether Telegram—a freewheeling and sometimes controversial messaging and social networking platform—allows crime on its app in part due to a lack of moderation.

Former Rep. Kevin McCarthy's grifting might have put money in his pocket. But it sure didn't produce any other positive results.

Kevin McCarthy’s ‘Revenge Tour’ Fizzles Out Worse Than His Speakership.
Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s multimillion-dollar attempt to take down the eight Republicans who ousted him as Speaker has ended in humiliating failure. The former Speaker’s primary targets, including Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), easily won their races, dealing a blow to McCarthy’s post-Congress ambitions.

Do you think astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams wonder if they will ever get home?

I hope astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams didn't have any holiday vacation plans because their stay at the International Space Station is going to be a bit longer than anticipated. In a press conference, NASA revealed its decision regarding the Starliner crew, who had been stranded waiting patiently in the International Space Station since June 6th. The Starliner crew will remain on the ISS until February 2025 and return home with SpaceX Crew-9. The Starliner capsule will return uncrewed at an unspecified later date.

Florida Man, 62, Strips, Performs "Strange Dance" At McDonald's. Then Tries To Impregnate A Railing.

As diners at a McDonald’s in Florida enjoyed their Big Macs, a 62-year-old man removed his clothes and performed a “strange dance” before apparently “trying to have relations with a railing,” according to a police report.

Investigators say that John Morgan was arrested Sunday after his impromptu 7:30 PM performance at the restaurant in Collier County. Charged with trespassing, the homeless Morgan was booked into the county jail on the misdemeanor count. He is scheduled for arraignment on July 3.

In other DOJ news, Merrick Garland called a press conference today to threaten anyone who "interferes with the certification of the 2024 election" with J6-level prison sentences.

Given that Congressman Jamie Raskin has already said the Democrats will refuse to certify Trump as the winner, even if Trump wins, this seems to be a threat against anyone protesting the blatant theft of the election.

These will be micro apartments, no bathroom or shower in the unit, there will only be common washroom and shitter facilities per floor.

Again, you'd make far more money with a couple of hundred micro apartments than a couple of expensive apartments.

And the landlord will have no problem selling the joint out. Not with the current scarcity of apartment.

NYC currently needs about 2m new apartments to meet the demand.

That's complicated.

You do have to take into account his home life. He should be removed from his family and the atmosphere in which he grew to believe his behavior was acceptable.

A facility that could keep him secure until he's 18 and has not only a high school diploma, but also some sort of tech training. Support him in some sort of faith based learning. Then he can join the military.

He didn't get to the point of killing another child on his own. He doesn't have the capacity to understand the repercussions of his actions. The adults in his life have failed him and they should bear the brunt of the civil responsibilities to the other family. Their remaining children should be taken away and the adults sterilized so no other child will have the misfortune of having them as parents.

245 It's been six weeks since we boarded the ISS and we've been using the four-day rotation for our underwear - front regular side out, backside front, regular side out, frontside front inside out, and on the fourth day, backside front inside out.

The atmosphere is a bit on the rank side but so long as we have enough toilet paper, we should be fine.

266 Werner finds the ONT most diverting. Each evening, such as now, I read it aloud to my feline animal de compagnie, Commander Star Sprinkles, who is draw to the cruel and smart military blog that daily puts us some knowledge. It offers a respite from the difficult but necessary toil that goes into drafting a plan to launch cinematic destroyer Katleen Kennedy in a stage four rocket to the purifying embrace of the sun, or debating whether Jeff Goldblum should be released from the isolation tank that takes up much of Werner's basement before Thursday. (Pity him not, he knows what he did.)

I am moved to pity by the innocent bystanders who, very much against their will, were forced to endure the polymorphic perversity at one of Florida's fine Mickey D establishments. It is unjust that one should have PTSD flash-backs when encountering a double quarter pounder or the tried- and- true Fillet-O-Fish. Such is despair. Is there no balm in Gilead? Shall the Hot Mustard dipping sauce darken the soul? What of the McRib? The Void laughs, and then goes back to live-streaming the latest iteration of Shogun. Was this Florida Man railing against railings, or just RFK Jr.? Ach.

Yes it is - and the administrative state knows what happens if they lose, so they are motivated. What they fail to realize is that about half the country, meaning the states, are going to just decide to hell with federal jurisdiction. It's no civil war. It's just we are done with the games and have decided we aren't playing. You think the blue states have been seeing exodus of business and citizens - just watch.

This ends only one way, just a matter of how long and how ugly it gets until then. They figure if they can keep holding on, maybe they will be OK until retirement.

This didn't go unnoticed to those little green men. They have now set up what appears to be a washer and drier by their main window and are gesticulating at us with what appears to be spare clothing while pointing at the two machines.

As if this wasn't bad enough, they're making ape faces at us while hunched over and scratching the top of their heads. All the while, they've been filming us. I'd hate to read their reports on what they consider to be this primitive species just beginning its trek into space...

309 Werner has reached out to the sorely beset vendors of the Golden Arches in that sad region of sunny Florida where the blasphemy occurred. I understand your despair, I tell them. The railing cries out "Unclean! Unclean!" and we cannot ignore its pain. Alas, I inform them, replacing the defiled metal does not suffice. Only the warm embrace of combustion shall remedy this situation. You must burn the McDonalds in order to save it. Werner learned this from John Milius, whose wisdom is of great merit.

I shall document your phenix-like ascent from the ashes, and provide a cut of the proceeds, net, not gross, from the film that shall be released. Also, if it will assuage matters, Werner is willing to go medieval on this Biden re-enactor that forced you to view such eldritch horrors. While popping a cap on his raggedy ass would be a bridge to far, there is still some leeway in the options at hand that will dissuade others from repeating this perversity. Commander Star Sprinkles purrs and smiles at this consideration of violence, which speaks to her feline soul in a manner most appealing. We have much in common, cats and Germans.

321 The eleven year old who admitted to murdering the eight year old, obviously knows it's wrong, so he knows right from wrong. He should be held in a juvenile jail until 18 then transferred to an adult facility. He should never see the light of day again. His parents should also be fined and jailed. If he is let out he will kill again.

I understand the reasons for a juvenile criminal justice system. But sometimes, the juvenile is just young in age but adult in criminal thinking/sociopathy. 2 years is not punishment enough for this kid and his crime and LW or WOP has been ruled unConstitutional for those under 18, I believe. I agree, this kid needs some time in an adult prison later. He's the scary juvenile, the one least likely to reform.

It fascinates me, in a stupefying and horrific way, how many people seem to long for censorship, government control, the whole ball of wax. Michigan was never able to get its official numbers squared away after 2020 - they're still something like 350,000 more votes than voters on their official file.

Pennsylvania didn't square away their votes/voters either until a couple of months after the election and even then, the official state file said that there were 120,000 more votes cast than voters, which was 50% over the difference between Biden and Trump.

So we can be assured that the media and Democrat officials will lie to us after the election this year.

374 A possible low-tech way to intercept drones? Remember barrage balloons from WWII? Large captive balloons, anchored to the ground by wire rope. Spaced close together, they would deter low-level aircraft runs.

Suppose you build countless thousands of large bottle rockets, built to drag behind them a long strand of Mylar ribbon (like audio tape). You see a drone, or flock of drones coming, you launch hundreds of these in a close-spaced array, with both breadth and depth. When the rockets' flight reaches it maximum altitude, after burnout, an small charge ejects a paper parachute that will dangle the ribbon for quite a ling time. Drones hit the ribbons, and it entangles their rotors, and down they go. Would be a cheap weapons system.

Lasers are tightly-focused by nature. The beam does disperse, because nothing is perfect, but it is a tighter beam than any other sort of directed-energy device.

Biden's Dog might be able to tell us, but I believe Israel has operational lasers to shoot down incoming missiles. The beam, being light, travels at the speed of light, so if you can see it, you can hit it.

I agree. A mix of low tech/common sense and high tech to defeat them. These drones are the modern era guerilla warfare items.

392 A tightly focused Xenon strobe, fired through a length of 4" I.D. pvc pipe, lined by mirrored mylar, and used as a "rifle barrel" for the flash impulse.

Fire a +200 Guide Number (olde photographer's scale of flash power) strobe through such, AT an incoming drone, and it's sensors WILL be fried.

It'll disperse more than a laser, which is the point. You can "miss" a direct hit ON the sensors, and still score a kill.

To be sure, the modern Chare Coupled Device (CCD) is far more resistant to "flare" and burnout than before. But they CAN still be overwhelmed by superior candlepower.

While I don't understand the science, I like this concept. Can be widely dispersed and one wouldn't need to be an expert to 'score a kill.' Out dummy them vs outsmart.

It's more that politics. They hate both because they hate success and both are, by pretty much any measure, successful. They are envious because they don't have the talent, the gumption, the ability, whatever, to do what either of those two do. There's also a lot of jealousy involved in the TDS and now the MDS.

Were it possible, Werner would counsel the scribe of what many would term Cosmic Horror, or Wednesday, as we call it in Deutschland, that he should not direct his anger at the Playa, but rather focus his scorn on the game. This was borne in on me during the brief tour I conducted with the Wu Tang Clan, serving as an understudy for Ghost-Faced Killah.

Also, Werner, who is all about the giving, reports that, unlike the concept conveyed in the Austin Powers trilogy, sharks are not in the least operable with fricking laser beams, so that is right out as a drone defense system. I go now to engage in skeet surfing with John Milius - it is most amusing, but I have not the heart to inform him that this originated as a joke on the part of the Zucker Brothers. Werner much enjoyed the documentary approach to the circumstances in Deutschland in their marvel of cinema Top Secret. I know a little German - ja, that is antic japery of a supremely comic turn,

408 This Daily Mail article has a catfight video - not to bad - but if you let it continue it will show more short videos of confrontations.
There are far too many shots of very big cops needlessly body slamming little females to the concrete. Put one in the hospital with a concussion, broken shoulder and something with her back.

Not saying the cop didn't need to control the situation but if a cop has no discretion he doesn't need to be there. A 200 lb man slamming a 100 lb woman to the pavement is wrong. Watch.

My guess is that most of these tiny women could avoid these confrontations with the police. I'm not fan of the police, and happy to see them disciplined or prosecuted when appropriate. But an awful lot of women seem to have adopted a very physically confrontational personality that is bound to lead to trouble. Some self-restraint would be nice.

416 Most of the possible "drone defense" solutions work on the battlefield, or to protect individual VIPs from assassination, but aren't that great for urban terrorism.

If you can't take out the drone in a way that neutralizes the bomb it's carrying, it doesn't help much to shoot it down and have it crash on a New York street versus slamming into a New York apartment, or blind it so it hits some random building other than its target. The terrorist still gets his terror.

If you can't capture the drone intact in mid-air, the best case for urban terrorism is probably causing an airburst; falling parts are less likely to be lethal than an up-close explosion.

At least "tiny, lightweight, slow, and flying" is a terrible option for delivering a dirty bomb.

I get an endless kick out of Elon, and the more I think about Jack Dorsey, the more I despise him. What a gutless, brainless excuse for a CEO and for a man.
