Where is the DoJ's objection to - and litigation to remove - RealID? RealID actually *is* an imposition and creates an inequitable and likely unconstitutional barrier to domestic travel. It is far more aggressive than any state's voter ID requirements (as far as I know) and has been imposed as a prerequisite for interstate travel. It is also a *direct* consequence of exactly the kind of game-playing that happens in "sanctuary" jurisdictions.
So if it's an unfair and unconscionable burden voting, why is the DoJ not demanding a repeal of RealID as an excessive burden on interstate travel in the style of the time?

I think illegals don't typically vote. There's fear among them that they'll be caught.
However they will turn over their ballots to anyone who asks for them.

In my wife's native Nicaragua, the second most impoverished country in the hemisphere, the government, free and now dictators, have always required production of the Cedula, the national ID card, in order to vote!
Somehow these poor brown people are able to get one and produce it to vote.

It is offensive in the extreme and shockingly insulting that the argument, which distilled to its essence is that minorities are too dumb to be able to prove their citizenship, is entertained by supposedly intelligent and well educated legal authorities. Yet here we are!
The foundation of modern "woke" liberalism is that minorities really are inferior so everyone has to be a magical helper to any women/blacks/gays you encounter.
The most recent example comes from video games, where journalists are upset about a made-in-China game where you play as a 6 foot tall martial artist monkey from Chinese mythology.
What are the journalists upset about? That you can't play as a black person instead of a monkey. Remember, they're saying this and you're the racist.

Eh, short term. Their support is needed for 1-3 election cycles. That's how long it takes to completely replace the machinery with loyalist operatives. Once that happens, actual distribution is irrelevant because they control the voting apparatus.
I doubt that urban blacks *actually* support Democrats at 95% rates, but their ballots sure as hell do.
These games only need to be run for a few years. Then you get the apparatus, then you get to dictate outcomes for the jurisdiction.

Sadly, they are correct. A significant percentage of minorities are indeed too stupid -- or more specifically, too lazy and irresponsible -- to reliably be able to prove their citizenship. Whenever proof of citizenship is required, you'll be reduced participation across the board (from all races) even from actual citizens. But that drop-off will be significantly more pronounced in minorities.

That was a Nazi plan, as far as I know. The "Madagascar Plan" was to relocate Europe's Jews to the island. It was never supposed to be Israel, just a roach motel/penal colony for the Jews.
They didn't pursue it because they lacked adequate shipping capacity to pull it off. It would have put too much of a burden on commercial and military shipping to dedicate the amount of capacity to Jew relocation that would have been necessary to realize the Madagascar Plan.
They pursued the holocaust instead. Far cheaper and easier.

Thousands at every lib city DMV? I think the total number could be over a million, maybe more. I recall a few years ago the driver's licenses did not show any indication if the driver was a foreign national. It was deliberately left off. So if they go to vote, they have a legit looking ID.
And other reports of signing up illegals at their housing locations, or any place they gather. It seems to be a major part of the Dem strategy to produce enough ballots (even if illegals don't show up to vote).
The magic suitcases of miracle ballots will arrive, and watchers won't be able to spot the illegals ... or so I've heard. Those registering illegals should be arrested, but they add thousands+ every damn day.

The only reason to be against solid voter ID is to make cheating easier. There is no other valid reason. Cheating is not a valid reason, therefore solid, state issued, citizenship confirming, photo ID is not an unreasonable demand and must be the law of the land in all elections. Having non-citizens vote disenfranchises the votes of citizens. Government officials who advocate against photo ID need to be put in the re-education camps or launched into the Atlantic via canon.

It is offensive in the extreme and shockingly insulting that the argument, which distilled to its essence is that minorities are too dumb to be able to prove their citizenship, is entertained by supposedly intelligent and well educated legal authorities.
What if it is true?
Certain groups test far more poorly than others, and do seem to achieve far less. What if there are some groups who are in fact predominantly paste-eaters?
We seem unwilling to acknowledge this possibility, all the while acknowledging that some groups are prone to test better and achieve more, like Jews and some Asians.
I've come around to the possibility that some groups maybe just are as awful as advertised (as a whole with individual exceptions).

That was a Nazi plan, as far as I know. The "Madagascar Plan" was to relocate Europe's Jews to the island. It was never supposed to be Israel, just a roach motel/penal colony for the Jews.
They didn't pursue it because they lacked adequate shipping capacity to pull it off. It would have put too much of a burden on commercial and military shipping to dedicate the amount of capacity to Jew relocation that would have been necessary to realize the Madagascar Plan.

I used to work with a Costa Rican who not only spoke flawless Flint English (well, he *could* - he preferred the CR accent and usually used it), he had extremely firm opinions on the relative value of various Latin American accents. He could speak in any of them. He once spent about 20 minutes of a meeting running through all of them, and pointing out what made them worse than the CR accent and what it implied about the speakers' parentage.
We accomplished nothing at that meeting, but he had us rolling on the floor clutching our sides. Dude had an uncanny ability to mimic accents.

No matter what, virtually any English speaker on earth would be able to understand what was said by someone from in or around Flint, MI. The dialect is (or was) absurdly clear and precise.

National elections here are functionally fraudulent. There's no over-arching set of 'rules' as to how each state conducts the election for president. The fraud in literally baked into the process. This state requires ID, that one doesn't. This state counts paper ballots, that one uses thumb drives. This state counts ballots in one night, that one takes a month.
Our government is fine with that.
I sometimes wonder how in the fuck one votes their way out of that mess when the system itself is rigged.

And the point of ID requirements being racist for blacks isn't because they can't go to Kinko's and make copies, its because the machine politics in places with high concentrations of blacks rely on unverified ballots to work.
It's simple, really.

In the Golden Book Encyclopedia when I was six or seven, the entry for "aye-aye" mentioned a legend that whoever kills one of the creatures will die a year and day afterward. They were careful to say (after scaring us little kids) that this was just a legend. I've never seen that legend repeated anywhere else. Maybe the writers made it up!

Mid-Atlantic (Pennsylvania, Maryland, etc.) are pretty damn clear, too. Much of the dominance of NY/NJ accents was because that's where the national feeds originated, but they still tried to thin them out for national broadcast.
The BBC did the same thing. They wanted that "posh" and tony London accent for wide broadcast. Go watch old original Top Gear and you'll hear Jeremy Clarkson sounding like the gentry. His accent went down-market (his natural voice, I suspect) for the reboot. I guess the BBC quit enforcing the Westminster accent for broadcast by then.

I still think Dominion was/is dirty as hell, it's just hard to prove clearly, and they sued anyone that challenged their actions.
But certainly their machines were/are connected to the internet, and numbers could be manipulated, WERE manipulated. In some cases the (fake) ballots were later produced, but not in all cases. We know some ballots were run through multiple times ... and signature recognition basically turned off (tuned so low as to accept any signature).
imo the machines of all sorts are still the problem, along with the mules and other ballot dumps. Or as was found in MI, boxes marked as having 1000 only had ten (or whatever the number was).

But certainly their machines were/are connected to the internet, and numbers could be manipulated, WERE manipulated. In some cases the (fake) ballots were later produced, but not in all cases. We know some ballots were run through multiple times ... and signature recognition basically turned off (tuned so low as to accept any signature).
imo the machines of all sorts are still the problem, along with the mules and other ballot dumps. Or as was found in MI, boxes marked as having 1000 only had ten (or whatever the number was).

Affirmative Action and DEI have long favored certain race origins and cultures over others. I've sat on the hiring committees of two different major NYC law firms and clearly Africans (especially Nigerians) were favored over American blacks.
African and to a lesser extent Caribbean blacks have a different view of whites and race relations than most American blacks do. They have not been brainwashed for the last 30 years on how awful whites are.

Mitch McConnell had a hand in it. He hated the previous GOP governor for the audacity of opposing him in the GOP primary in 2014 or so. So he tanked him in 2019 in favor over the son of an old time Dem governor.
There was some other policy reasons, stemming mainly from budget cuts (KY state govt is in an awful downward spiral financially among states). 40 percent of the state budget now depends on DC for funding.

The BBC did the same thing. They wanted that "posh" and tony London accent for wide broadcast. Go watch old original Top Gear and you'll hear Jeremy Clarkson sounding like the gentry. No idea he is an east coast grifter that moved from Connecticut to Kentucky after he fleeced the state for hundreds of thousands of $$$$ after his families bell factory burnt down without any insurance. He got the state to pony up the money to fix it up because it was a historical building and a family business that had been in the state for over 200 years.

Most states require you to show whatever documentation you must, a birth cert or whatever documents one has for obtaining citizenship, in order to get a drivers license.
In fact, until some of these weirdo states have started flirting with giving licenses to illegals, it was expected, because drivers are allowed to drive anywhere in the nation.
So... if you register to vote, and show up to vote, if you are showing your license, you are affectively proving your citizenship.

Probably not bailed out. The money's gone. Easier to simply not require repayment of student loans because the money is spent than try to borrow more money to spend.
The next term, whoever is in office, is dealing with having to borrow about 1/3 of the federal budget now per year (currently about two trillion bucks out of six trillion) and getting worse.
All those Dems who got their beaks wet are going to start wailing for bailouts but DC will have nothing much to give them and the only solution is unpalatable cuts to government contractors, welfare recipients, bureaucrats, etc.

Probably not since they want you to see the maximum amount of product. Most search engines (e.g. google, bing) allow you to put a minus sign in front of a term to exclude things that would otherwise match. So try "vacuum sealer -bags" and see what you get.

Electric rates are probably set and okayed by some semi-governmental oversight group which around here is called the CUB, so they signed off on it. Also, look at your cable phone and utility bills and see how many government "fees" they collect so the poor can get the same shit for free.
But it is happening (except for TVs for some reason) and consumer demand is the only metric companies have to go on.

The really clever part of this is automakers have been slowly admitting that they're just fronts for banks/finance services, and they've been conditioning consumers to only worry about the payment.
We're at house-priced vehicles now, and not even for anything fancy. Just a truck. And people are fine with it. I mean, they might complain a little or say the price out loud in exasperation, but they'll see what monthly payment they can afford and sign on the dotted line.

The really clever part of this is automakers have been slowly admitting that they're just fronts for banks/finance services, and they've been conditioning consumers to only worry about the payment.
We're at house-priced vehicles now, and not even for anything fancy. Just a truck. And people are fine with it. I mean, they might complain a little or say the price out loud in exasperation, but they'll see what monthly payment they can afford and sign on the dotted line.

Companies are testing the limits of customer willingness to pay. Call it gouging if you're a democrat, but several have admitted as much in interviews or yearly notices (McDonalds).
The only way to stop it is to refuse the service or product, and so far everyone is stretching their budgets to maintain lifestyle.
The problem I can see with that is that once you've found the limit by driving your customers away, it's going to be hard to get them back. You can by lower your prices but because since they're no longer coming to your business, how will they know?
