Stephen Colbert Tells Kaitlin Collins That CNN Is "Objective" and "Just Reports the News As It Is."
Even His Braindead Shitlib Audience Sees Through That.

Video below.

You know who else is "objective" and also very anti-racist?

MSNBC. Particularly Joy Reid.

Why are you laughing?

MSNBC is the self-appointed police force for racist comments in American society. Not a day goes by when at least one of the pundits at the network does not label someone a "racist" -- even if they are not actually a racist.

Yet, last week, one of MSNBC's own went on another overtly racist rant against white people. Primetime host Joy Reid thanked Kamala Harris for not picking Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly as her running mate because, unlike Tim Walz, Kelly is "super white."

Err, not just "super white.

According to Reid, Sen. Kelly is "like a mayonnaise sandwich on Wonder bread white."

OutKick asked MSNBC for comment. The network did not respond. MSNBC does not respond to inquiries regarding Reid's bigotry. We've tried before.

I don't know how I feel about Conan, he really wasn't an innovator, his schtick pretty much stayed the same for the entirety of his career and he didn't have any standout or signature shows.

And mostly people felt sorry for him because he got shafted out of the Tonight Show gig, which, in retrospect, if he had gotten it, he would probably not have had as long a career as he's had, because he would have bombed in the first year been replaced and that would have been it.

Not getting that gig save his career.

119 Our media is under strict instructions to maintain the illusion of a horserace because it is better for generating SHAREHOLDER PROFITS.

Such an approach is horrible for democracy and the republic. Republicans have not been able to defend their policies morally, socially or economically since the 1990s. The senior executives in media know this, so they report on shallow 'gotcha' issues with Democrats, carefully avoiding policy discussions.

This way, odious liars like Trump or Vance get softballs, while the media does all it can to not cover substantive candidates on the issues. We saw CNN doing 'person in the street' interviews on the allegations of Walz stealing valor. This swiftboating, to hedge fund greed lizards, keeps the race even and thus generates higher ratings and better PROFITS.

We need to change the rules of corporate governance to a stakeholder approach where workers, consumers and the environment are equal in value to shareholder profits. Right now, the ONLY fiduciary responsibility in a publicly traded company is to generate profits. There is nothing in terms of responsibility for truth in news.

We need a 21st century Fairness Doctrine.

Posted by: TheJamesMadison, riding the anarchy train with John Landis at August 13, 2024 01:04 PM (GBKbO)

Since 2008 the late night shows have become mostly political interview shows with the hosts kissing the asses of Dem politicians and Dem Administration folks, and the talking heads from CNN, PMSNBC, CBS, ABC, and NBC.

They used to be where entertainers would be interviewed, but the Dems have really sucked up to the hosts to make sure they get the invites over the pols.

Oh, I get it. It's only working in the fever-swamp left. You will pull in no swing or undecided voters by calling a white guy white.

This is a significant data point in my opinion that the Dems are internally scared shitless of Kumswalla's chances in November. Her handlers are still trying to lock down the anti-white, anti-American, far-left commie base. These are the shitstains who the Dums should most count on to be a lock. But they aren't. Meanwhile, Trump has his base locked down (he always did), and is trying to expand the tent. That's a much better position to be in.

Posted by: TheJamesMadison, riding the anarchy train with John Landis at August 13, 2024 01:36 PM (GBKbO)

I think that's very plausible. I also think it's reasonable to suggest that Harris is polling better than Biden, but not to the level the public polls are saying.

There were many center-left anti-Trump Dems who had been concerned about Biden's ability to handle the job leading up to the debate. They might have been answering "undecided" to pollsters, depressing the number the Dem candidate would have normally gotten.

When Biden was dumped and a candidate with another twenty years left to live was given the nod, those people went from, undecided back to the Dem camp they were pretty much going to be in anyway. The same thing happened with the big donors holding out on Biden. Suddenly Harris is the presumptive nominee and she has a "record breaking month" for donations (because the checks were finally mailed).

I'd give Harris 2% over Biden, maybe 3%, but that puts her 0-3% down to Trump, but if the Dem isn't winning at least 2% over the GOP, it's a loss

Reid reminds me of LeBron James in her absolute disdain/hate for white people. After the Olympics, prior to leaving Paris, LeBron James is on video going with others to their vehicle when a young, maybe 10 year old, white boy approaches all excited to get an autograph and picture with James. James barks at him repeatedly to stop! and motions with his hand for him to back off and go away. Horrible. There is no doubt in my mind had the kid been black, he would have happily done the pictures/autograph. This is somehow acceptable now except James got roasted for this online but he doesn't care. James, who got to carry the American flag at an event watched worldwide versus James who kneels during the anthem and has contempt for his country while at home.

I am going with a vote of no here. This is just the type of bait people like to use to justify labeling conservatives as racist. While I don’t dispute there is an active campaign to make whites the evils in some (read those on the left) sectors, the true solution is merit. There is no need to advocate for any race beyond being human just as there is no need to denigrate any race. I truly wish we could get to this place. Racism, regardless of who is spouting it, couldn’t be uglier.

339 Cheap yellow mustard is jes' fine for some applications. In fact, I'd go so far to say it is required.

That isn't to say fancier boutique mustard isn't any good, it's just some things work, and are familiar and expected. Jim Lovell asked a specific question to one of the flight controllers on 13. Jay Leno actually comes across as a pretty nice guy. If you have interest in cars, you should watch "Jay Leno's Garage" on YouTube.
When Johnny went home to Nebraska on a feature trip, they dug up the car he learned to drive on (belonged to his father), and gave it to him.
It was restored and Johnny put it in a car museum in LA. When Johnny was over on TV, and was getting old, he told them to give the car to Jay, because he knew he would take care of it. Jay talked about it, and you could see it kind of choked him up.
Craig Ferguson is hilarious, and you can't have him on TV to compare to those numb midwits Colbert and Kimmel.
Jack Paar was sometime incredibly hilarious, and also pretty witty. He was nobody's fool. Also very gentlemanly with his guests. He had Barry Goldwater on a few times in 1964 and after, and was always gracious and polite to Barry.

Look, it's not even necessarily about better or worse, as they emotionally try to frame it. it's about the nature of reality, and reality always gets the last word.

But one thing's for certain: if you're worrying about some bad-faith actor labeling you "racist," rather than worrying about what's true and carrying the banner of truth, then you're letting your enemies set the frame for you and they win by default.
