Those idiots put the hot guy with muscles in this last episode, because people on the set said they should put the hot guy with muscles in more episodes... and make him take his clothes off.

37 Looks to me like that fox is filling out with good food and play. There was a domestication experiment in Russia, I think, where they took gray foxes, allowed the most easygoing ones to breed, and in an astonishingly short time -- three generations, maybe? -- they had domesticated foxes that were as companionable and trainable as dogs. This is a red fox, but the qualities must be in there somewhere.

40 Back to the homeless thread. I noticed an underpass here near the U of A changed its landscaping. It used to be smooth dirt and there were a number of people living there. They changed it to medium sized rocks ('cause that's only kind of landscaping around here - rocks everywhere). And so there's no longer flat places to sleep.

Actually, the conclusion they reached... and the study went back to the 40s, was that foxes just aren't going to be domesticated anywhere near what dogs are, unless and until you put a millennia or two into the breeding program.

The foxes would NOT socialize with humans the way dogs do, and when you have them inside your house, they shit on everything, no matter how hard you try to train them.

My late big black cat Wolf, before he was abandoned and I took him in, encountered an opossum. Miss Linda said the cat looked at the opossum, the opossum eyed the cat, and then they turned and went their separate ways. Wolf was a healthy eater and good hunter. If he didn't go after that marsupial, it was because he didn't think it was worth the attempt. "Eat that? Hell no."

And opossums are as big as your average cat. Maybe they don't seem like prey. Or maybe they just don't smell like food.

What's horrible is that Heigl's career has suffered, due to the fact when she was a teenager, her mother watched over her like a hawk, and wouldn't let the predators in Hollowood get their greasy paws on her.

If you predict a mild hurricane season and you're wrong, then that's the end of your career. It's all upside to predict doom and downside to predict normalcy.

I used to see them frequently in Denver. They ran in and out of the enclosures at the zoo, for instance. And one chilly morning I drove up to work out at Red Rocks Park in the western suburbs. A red fox was sitting on the far side of the narrow road. I pulled over and watched him. He seemed utterly unconcerned that my car was there, and sat, peering intently around. Then he wheeled and trotted off on his fox business.

109 Yes, dealing with a sick wild animal is never a good idea -- either sick or injured, as in the latter case they will be in pain. The young heron that Miss Linda saw staring balefully at her outside her condo a week or so ago had a wild dinosaur-ish vibe, probably sick, and she carefully left it alone. A day or two later she saw its body on the grass. She still left it for the grounds people to cart away.

The possums and raccoons here co-existed with my outside cats with never any trouble. In fact some of the baby raccoons grew up with the kitties and got on very well. Vehicles take off from one of two runways: One has a monorail and the other is freewheeling.

Somewhat sociable. They had a way to test it, by releasing the animal into a room with a human sitting inside concentric circles. They were able to measure how far into the circles the foxes got, how long it took them to get there, and how long they stayed.

They were slow to get somewhat close, and didn't stay long, in contrast to dogs, who immediately went into the inner circle with tail wagging.

Tester has never won 50% of the vote. Each of his 3 wins were very close with the so called Libertarian candidate getting more than his winning margin.

Imagine that! Almost as if Democrats keep funding these candidates to siphon off Republican votes. Why don’t Republicans ever do the same? Fund some Green candidate to siphon off 1% of the vote. Because the GOP has no idea how to win nor do they really care to win.

195 I just now watched Old Joe's Wisconsin performance on utoob. He is not who he was even six months ago. He is now deeply wedded to the prompter. He looks a long time at one screen before he shifts to the other. Occasionally he looks directly into the camera and says a brief sentence; I have little doubt TPOTUS tells him to do it hoping he can remember the brief sentence. He lapses into the mouth agape, not-all-there look during brief pauses, when TPOTUS likely tells him to pause for applause and cheering. His now only 5-10 minute speeches are nothing but a recital of "15 million jobs, biggest climate bill in the history or the world, yada, yada" and increasingly nasty personal attacks on Trump. Sad and frightening.

Will Steffy help or torpedo Joe tonight? He can torpedo Joe with out much difficulty, if his masters the Clintons and/or the DNC honchos tell him to.
