I was reading Facebook posts about the ore carrier Michipicoten having taken on some water yesterday and then limping into port at Thunder Bay, Ontario, under its own power, accompanied by Coast Guard vessels from both the United States and Canada.

What a feast of willfully stupid and authoritatively ignorant posters saw fit to offer up their profound observations. The vessel was a tanker (no), the vessel was carrying millions (no, billions!) of pounds of cargo (no, guess again), the captain had ordered the crew to abandon ship (not even close), the vessel's hull had been opened by striking a hitherto uncharted reef (um, no), and so forth. It was the seeming earnestness of the assertions that was so painful -- those folks thought that they had scoops! I have no doubt that, had they vessels that could convey them to the area, they would have been there recording everything on their smart phones while with their banal commentary as accompaniment.

No she isn't wrong. A week or so before graduation the school did an awards day. They announced the scholarships that a student got along with academic achievement awards. She got quite a few. The HS principal graduated from that same school in the same year I did and was there when my son graduated with honors. He saw me and smiled and said what ya think mayhem? I said damn I'm good.

This is understandable. The IDF snooped-out this location. But it's not a bad strategy by Hamas. Keep some of the hostages in non-obvious locations.
