Google has confirmed that leaked technical details of its search engine are genuine. (The Verge)

Experts believe this is likely to make Google Search worse, though they were unable to explain how this is possible.

Arm has announced its latest mobile CPU cores. (AnandTech)

Of note, the X925 is claimed to be 36% faster than Arm's fastest cores from last year, when built on the latest 3nm process (where last year's cores would have been 5nm).

That's a pretty decent gain, but my phone is five generations behind in CPU cores and works just fine.
Leaked tests of the upcoming Ryzen 9000 show it faster than a 13900K but slower than a 14900K on single-threaded tests - 18.5% faster than Ryzen 7000. (Tom's Hardware)

While Intel holds the absolute speed record (for now), it did that by pushing 400W of power into eight fast cores. The new Ryzen cores may be very slightly slower, but a Ryzen CPU with sixteen fast cores uses half the power of an Intel CPU with just eight.

We would have welcomed that fertile soil from Deutschland. That was in the era where small individual farmers still flourished but were rapidly being pushed out by the corporate mega farms. Farming then was a gamble of the direst degree, and just like in Vegas, the House (climate, mother nature, weather, whatever you want to call it) held the odds.

I've noted it before, but even "normal" people have figured out that you have to add the word "reddit" to the end of searches to attempt to find actual discussion about the topic you're searching for on Google.

You can see it on the autofill.

I went to Linux Mint about two weeks ago. It's a small curve from my Windows7 to it. There are many programs that parallel W's programs and are readable by W. There is Apache and LibreOffice which parallel MicroOffice etc.

If you are comfortable w/tech you can download Mint to a flash drive and run it from there to acquaint yourself with it.

Pixy mentioned, the other day, that Qualcomm is incorporating? Linux into its build. People are migrating from W to Linux.

Two hopes for the lawyers. One, being what they are they tend to piss off people, they could turn the rest against them. Two, they could have conflicting opinions and cancel each other out. They could cause the jury to chuck it.
