8 If you are ever up in Sitka AK, visit a place called the Raptor Center. They do nothing but raptor rescues. Lots of eagles, hawks, osprey get into all kinds of situations where they need help. I held a bald eagle with my (leather clad) arm there. Bald eagles in AK are more common than crows are here. So many of them.

They are big. Search "fawn on power line" for news stories about how a bald eagle was carrying off a whitetail-deer fawn, but apparently got tired and dropped it. And the dead fawn landed on some power lines and shut down East Missoula, MT.

Golden eagles are even bigger than bald eagles.

European eagle-owls are bigger yet.

Kaylee the Calico Kitty Cat (the cutest little cat of them all) was found inside an engine compartment when she was just a kitten (about 4-6 weeks old).

It took almost an hour to extract her. I took pity on her and adopted her from the shelter where she recovered from her ordeal. Been with me for nearly 10 years now.
