Why are they funding an upheaval aimmed at the very people they support? Because they want to push them further left. They want to move the Overton Window.
We need a study of the stickiness of the Overton Window. It seems to be assumed that it can always be moved. I submit that is not always the case, and that exerting too much pressure can actually cause it to rebound in the opposite direction than that intended. Sometimes it's good to think before acting. Something tells me these "charities" will not actually lose their funding. At most, they will dissolve and rebrand themselves. Kind of like ACORN.

++++ An illegal 11th-hour conversion into a bank holding company so they can access the Fed discount window and stave off financial collapse? Oh wait. Silly me. Groups like the People's Forum stand to lose their charity status if they are found to be party to riots and violent protests, experts told the Free Beacon. I'm at the point where all charities -- every single one of them -- should be abolished. Sure, you can form a charity if you want. But all tax and legal advantages are revoked, as are tax and legal advantages of donating. Why am I giving huge tax breaks to people who hate me and want me dead??
Yes, a few genuine conservative charities would be affected. But since I'll almost guarantee you that 90% of charity money flows into leftwing terror "charities," I can live with that. If they let Trump in, they can have him clean up this particular Pali mess and still declare victory while excoriating him for cleaning it up. That's secondary. More important, it gives them a way to get rid of Joe and Kamala and groom the next guy for four years without full-blown war within the Party. The economy is about to leg down again, and inflation is heating up again and next year is likely to be pretty bad. If they let Trump in, they can blame him for the next four years and put an end to the "Trump Miracle Economy" narrative through constant full-court deceit and lying (which they're good at). Trump’s conducting his own vetting process by asking friends, consultants, and insiders whom they think he should pick (for VP) and why. In these discussions, two names consistently rise to the top: Marco Rubio and J.D. Vance.
Rubio has strong support in Trump’s circle of advisers, especially among those with Florida ties. There’s just one problem. Trump and Rubio are both Florida Men. “Marco has this residency problem,” is how Trump describes it to others. TRUMP IS STRONGLY CONSIDERING Rubio because he’s keenly aware Rubio is fluent in Spanish, is the only Hispanic on his shortlist, and is attractive to the establishment donors his cash-hungry campaign needs. Rubio grew close to Trump during his presidency and served as a key Latin America adviser shaping Cuba and Venezuela policy. Rubio successfully lobbied Trump to ignore hawkish voices who wanted the president to consider military action in Venezuela against strongman Nicolás Maduro. THE QUESTION IS HOW BADLY Rubio wants to be Trump’s vice president. Answer: Last week, Rubio aligned himself more closely with Trump, Vance, and the MAGA base by voting against a package to provide military aid to Ukraine... Posted by: TheJamesMadison Doubling down only delays the inevitable because as a gambler, you lose everything or in politics, you get a generational wipeout. If you go back the 1890's, massive cheating in northern urban centers was a thing by then for decades. That ended over time because the people that were donating the money to do it stopped. I'm talking about the actual powers in the Party, not the street warriors or workaday slobs of bureau and legislature.
Posted by: Joe Mannix The Dem donors after Kerry's loss decided to create their own organizations outside the party structure. Arabella's dark money operations now dwarf the amount spent by the official party operations of teh DNC and congressional committees. That is the new power base of teh Dems and that is run in the interests by the donors that created the dark money machine. Someone like Zuckerberg or Bloomberg is far more important to the rank and file nowadays than the official party apparatus is. In a sense, the Dem and GOP parties have flipped where the wealthy by and large are trending Dem while the GOP voters are desperate to simply stop the destruction of their lives, property, and freedom. The officeholders of the GOP haven't learned that yet that unlike squashing the Tea Party, McConnell ain't gonna win this one. His time has passed and the GOP either has to change or die. Posted by: ... ====== It is actually easy to challenge a voter in person or more likely their mail ballot under state laws. They must have a legitimate address, they must be alive, and must even in a lot of places have proof of existence such as utility bills, etc. To do that, you need people at the local level to do it in their locales and yes you can fight the power. Cheats have been and never are inevitable winners but it takes standing up to them en masse to prevent it. That means volunteering to be a poll worker, a poll watcher for the rancid GOP, an election judge, etc. including going to an urban shithole to do it on election day. It is far less likely to involve individual death and dismemberment than a hot civil war would and if one is unwilling to do the easy peaceful task--then they certainly would never violently resist overlords via something like Valley Forge or Morristown at its worst. Kitchen update:
We might have an oven tomorrow. Still don't have all the cabinets, but we did get the extended fridge space "fixed" (it was in the designs, Dolley didn't notice, and she demanded the change). Still no countertops, though they should go in early next week. The big drama was around backsplash, though. Dear lord...I never want to look at tile again. The story is out there. Kemp as SoS had the state voting servers wiped after the 2018 election while Abrams was trying to challenge the election results and voting in federal court. The old Diebold system did not have any audit copies nor printouts that could be checked to make sure that the tallied vote matched the actual vote.
His right hand guy as SoS then became a salesman for Dominion and Kemp promptly put through a nobid multi million dollar state contract for the Dominion voting system to replace the Diebold system that Abrams was suing the state over. Kemp's personal wealth has also vastly increased with his term in public office despite low salaries overall in GA. GA's previous governor, Nathan Deal was another shitweasel who resigned from Congress prior to his gubernatorial run before the House Ethics Committee heard his case involving Deal's financial impropriety. 273 I fairly recently suspected that Tank might actually have won that 2018 election, and that the Dems have held it over Kemp, forcing him to shiv Trump at every opportunity. I began to think that when I put some thought into the story of Kemp turning on Trump after DJT insulted him around trying to open GA early during COVID. That story never made sense to me. If a pol has a relatively thick skin (and they do), they'd never let some words from Trump turn them as thoroughly as his supposedly did Kemp. Trump insulted Cruz' father, for goodness sakes, and that didn't stop Cruz from putatively working with the guy. It just didn't smell right.

As much as I hate identity politics, it will be hard for Trump to choose another white guy. Security policy expert Kyle Shideler writes that these violent "protests" may be alienating voters, but the far left doesn't care -- because their goal is to mau-mau the Democrat Party elite into submission, and it's working.
++++ They only have to convert (or intimidate into conversion) a fairly small minority of Party elites. Most are already on board. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at May 01, 2024 02:21 PM They don't care about "alienating voters", because they know elections do not matter anymore. They stole 2020, they stole 2022 AZ and they will steal 2024. This is why they have no fear of going too radical and "alienating voters". They know they can do and say anything they want now with zero consequences, legally and electorally. 2020 showed them that. If people won't bother to fight back when forced to get a shot or lose your job; when their children are forced to get a shot; when they are banned from seeing their loved ones dying in hospitals and nursing homes; when an election is rigged and stolen; when protesters are unjustly arrested, imprisoned, tortured and prosecuted; when government spurs illegal alien invasion... they know the population is conquered.
