Biden Rewrites Title IX Law to Mandate the Use of "Proper" (In Other Words: Fake) Pronouns, Forbid "Misgendering," Mandate Boys' Access to Girls' Locker Rooms and Bathrooms, And Restore the Obama-Era Kangaroo Sex Courts

This is a sop to the leftwing teachers unions, who demanded their AWFL politics be encoded into law.

Just without the actual "law" part. Biden added new "rules" to the law by his own imperial power.

The rules also mandate that boys accused of sexual assault be presumed guilty by colleges.

The Biden administration's actions finalizing revised Title IX regulations represent a victory for powerful teachers unions, which have fueled Democrats' 2024 election campaigns.

On Friday morning, the Department of Education finalized sweeping new Title IX rules that it said will "strengthen vital protections" from sex-based harassment and prevent discrimination based on gender identity. The regulations dismantle Trump-era actions that bolstered protections, but also prescribed a strict grievance process that ensures the accused are treated as innocent until proven guilty.

The nation's two largest teachers unions, the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association, have for months heavily advocated for the regulations to be finalized. During the current election cycle, the two unions have funneled millions of dollars to Democrat-aligned political action committees, but virtually nothing to Republicans, according to federal filings.

"Prior to the 2020 rule, there was progress on changing the culture of sexual violence on our education campuses, as well as improvements to student safety. But the Trump-DeVos rule quashed open discussion of sexual harassment and gender-based violence," AFT President Randi Weingarten wrote in a comment letter supporting the Biden administration's regulations.

Weingarten added that the administration's rules -- which are set to go into effect in August -- would "remove dangerous regulations put in place in 2020 and put us back on the path of honestly discussing the modern realities of equal access to education."

...

Pringle's letter emphasized the importance of the regulations' expansion of Title IX protections to include transgender students. She said they would protect a transgender student who is "discriminated against and shamed when told they cannot use the bathroom."

According to NEA, the regulations would prohibit schools from excluding students from any educational activity because of transgender status; prohibit "misgendering" transgender students or teachers, force the use of a name selected by a transgender student or teacher, and require students to be allowed to use restrooms and locker rooms that align with their gender identity.

The AP claims that the rule does not mandate that trans athletes demolish girls in sports, but, while that's not explicit in this rule, it is certainly implied by the rest of the language, stating that no trans students can be "excluded" from "any educational activity."

The rights of LGBTQ+ students will be protected by federal law and victims of campus sexual assault will gain new safeguards under rules finalized Friday by the Biden administration.

The new provisions are part of a revised Title IX regulation issued by the Education Department, fulfilling a campaign pledge by President Joe Biden. He had promised to dismantle rules created by former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, who added new protections for students accused of sexual misconduct.

Notably absent from Biden's policy, however, is any mention of transgender athletes.

The administration originally planned to include a new policy forbidding schools from enacting outright bans on transgender athletes, but that provision was put on hold. The delay is widely seen as a political maneuver during an election year in which Republicans have rallied around bans on transgender athletes in girls' sports.

Instead, Biden is officially undoing sexual assault rules put in place by his predecessor and current election-year opponent, former President Donald Trump. The final policy drew praise from victims' advocates, while Republicans said it erodes the rights of accused students.

The new rule makes "crystal clear that everyone can access schools that are safe, welcoming and that respect their rights," Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said.

"No one should face bullying or discrimination just because of who they are, who they love," Cardona told reporters. "Sadly, this happens all too often."

My thought: Biden didn't want to put that in writing so close to an election he's losing so the rule just strongly implies that you'd better not kick boys and men (this applies to colleges, too) off girls' teams. But he wants the plausible deniability of it not being explicitly stated.

But soon another "Dear Colleague" letter will be issued, "helping" schools make the Right Choice on boys in girls sports.

In related news, JK Rowling says she'll never forgive Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson for throwing her under the bus and cancelling her.

I approve. Enough of this "high road" shit.

The beauty of a single-party state is that they don't *need* to be explicit. Just make it clear what's to be done and all of the drones will happily "work toward the fuhrer."

Under ideal circumstances - and we usually have them - they don't have to take any official action at all. The tranny stuff is objectionable that there actually does need to be *some* sort of official action, but it needn't be much.

89 As much as school vouchers might be a decent intermediate step between "everybody paying to send everybody else's kids to government school" and "everybody paying to send everybody else's kids to whatever school the parents want...

This is the danger of that.

That the government will make decisions that will force any school that takes the vouchers to follow random government diktats, even if the school is expressly founded on not allowing that kind of thing in their school.

That's how the government controls all of this, with money.

Even a government school wouldn't have to comply with Title IX and the rest if that school weren't taking government money.

But any school that does take government money, must comply, or the government will take that money away.

Yes.

Some countries...maybe Germany?... restrict unions to one company and I think it would be a great fix for private sector unions. It would force the union leadership to be focused on growing their company so they are their members can be compensated versus the insanity of modern labor unions that don't give a shit if they torpedo a company and get a bunch of "their" workers fired.

Trajan, in his letters to Pliny the Younger (~110AD) condemned 'public associations' IIRC, with something like 'no matter the public good, associations such as that do nothing but sow discord and faction.'

Trajan has gone up and up in my estimation the more I learn about him.

Nothing is given up. But sure, let's forget the Monroe doctrine. It's been 200 years. Let the shithole third world island nations fend for themselves.

And... yes, if you need to fire missiles at anyone getting uppity, fire missiles. From subs, from surface to air sources, long range bombers... protect however far from the shore you think you need to protect. And no further.
Posted by: BurtTC at April 19, 2024 04:58 PM (dGCAG)

A handful of missiles doesn't really do anything. Cede naval and air superiority to China and subs and long-range bombers won't stop them from setting up shop anywhere in South America they so please. Long as you accept that, fair enough.

Funny how most things they're doing seem to be in line with the former.

It's that weird sexless society I was warning people about for years here. Everyone thinks the Left is all about love and wanton sex but that's only a means to an end. While sex is great for destroying Christianity, eventually sexual attraction becomes an enemy because it puts a human's desires above the State. The march to sexless genderless robotic androgyny and eventual extinction is their true desire.

I always point people to the bizarre silver soulless sexless DNC they did for Hillary in 2016. It showed where they want us going.

327 The ability to project force across a wide geographic area has kept us safe for a long time. It is a deterrent whether you like it or not. We can argue that all day long, but the facts are and have been there for many years. It prevented a lot of garbage that would have worked against our national interests.

I quit when he did that, and he was just like "I understand, and wish you the best." It was sad.

OK, Mike and Randi, /double-spits/ now do bullying because a kid is fat, has acne, is short, wears a Trump shirt, and everything else a kid could be bullied for. Teachers and school administration look the other way by choice on too, too many bullying incidents in schools. Do you have a DoE rule that also drops a million-pound shit-hammer on kids bullying a younger kid who's short? An immutable characteristics, yes? If no anti-bullying rule is in your arsenal for this, why are you elevating the cases of gender-bullying to be more equal that other bullying? Equity, anyone?

The US navy grew massively in WW2. Bit complacent of an attitude to have.

US Navy has been in a long decline and now has new priorities, like global warming and diversity. Within a decade or two China will probably have more carrier groups.

334 In case anyone is wondering where people like Weingarten are getting this, it's from esoteric interpretations like this:

"In this model, the individual mystic's soul, gendered feminine, first participates in an act of transgender-homoerotic mystical fellowship with those of hir fellow mystics in order to at once welcome in the Divine feminine (in some cases entering into erotic union with Her) and immediately switch gender roles to embody that Divine feminine for her congress with the male Godhead. This act of psychic double-transvestism is abetted by the Kabbalistic trope that casts God and Israel as the two lovers in the Song of Songs, or the two cherubs over the ark, with Israel taking the female role."

That's an interesting take, and eminently logical. Another variant on the secular humanist radical's attempt to preserve the form of a particular aspect of existence but to empty it of its original significance.
