Seems a little tame for the passage from the Book of Isaiah:
"In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train[a] of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. " This looks like God is slightly annoyed at two childlike looking seraphim who might be nagging Him to go out for pancakes. Posted by: FenelonSpoke at March 25, 2024 09:37 AM (XkYcA) 27

And this is his response to the vision:
And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!” 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” Posted by: FenelonSpoke at March 25, 2024 09:41 AM (XkYcA) 45
What was very profound about Isaiah is that he is recognized as a witness during one of the most unstable periods in Jerusalem’s history, from both political and religious point of view. Around 735 B.C., the nations of Aram and Israel threatened to invade Jerusalem, the capital of the city of Judah, if King Ahaz didn’t join their anti-Assyrian coalition. Later, Assyria invaded Judah to suppress a rebellion by King Hezekiah in 701 B.C. As a prophet, Isaiah delivered messages from Yahweh about these events to political leaders and social elites in Jerusalem. He enjoyed a good relationship with the royal members and had free access to the palace.
Saying that he was a part of the Jerusalem aristocracy, Isaiah took an active part in events and guided people of the higher authority. However, this position didn’t stop his from being outspoken. He is known to have attacked the ruling classes, in defense of common people, against the corruption that they faced. Posted by: andycanuck (2yu8s) at March 25, 2024 09:41 AM (2yu8s) 46

I swear Michelangelo was put on earth to make everyone else feel artistically incompetent. The accuracy of anatomy, the level of detail (achieved with some animal hair tied to a stick), the subtle use of color, the way he can elicit an emotional response from his audience. You get the idea. Even his charcoal and crayon sketches are highly realistic. I saw the Pieta at the 1964 New York Worlds Fair. Sixty years later I can still feel the pathos and power from a short viewing.

Vatican website on the ceiling -- here the section on the Prophets and Sibyls. Hovering your cursor over an image gives its name. Unfortunately, only a few have a detailed link.
https://tinyurl.com/2m5cdevs Sibyls and Prophets Prophets and Sibyls seated on monumental thrones are alternated along the long sides, while the short sides are dominated by the figures of Zechariah and, above the altar, of Jonah (Jonah 1: 2), who has a pre-eminent position inasmuch as he is the prefiguration of Christ (Matthew 12: 38-40; 16: 1-4; Luke 11: 29-30). The Prophets and Sibyls are identified by a text in the label below them and are those who were the first to sense the coming of the Redeemer. The Prophets and Sibyls therefore testify as to the continuous wait of mankind for the Redemption. The former did in fact foresee the coming of Christ for the people of Israel. The latter, although belonging to the pagan world, are represented here because of their prophetic gifts, in this way extending the wait for Redemption from the chosen people to all mankind. Ancient Jewish-Christian tradition suggests that Isaiah was martyred by King Manasseh, son of Hezekiah. According to the tradition, Isaiah was tied inside a sack, placed within the hollow of a tree trunk, and then sawed in two.

My big black cat Stirling survived his trip to the vet on Saturday. He behaved himself perfectly, they gave him a steroid shot for possible allergies (their best guess as to why his plush black fur is thinning in a couple of spots), and weighed him. He's 14.2 lbs. This is up a half pound from last October when they said he was kind of overweight. This vet did not seem to think he needed a diet, though.
The shot knocked him out by Saturday evening; he was sleeping as though drugged for a while. Everything is fine now. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at March 25, 2024 10:11 AM (J2vNu) 161
United Nations @UN Mar 18
People in northern Gaza are facing famine. Land routes remain the most effective way of delivering aid to people experiencing catastrophic levels of hunger across Gaza. The UN and partners are urgently seeking safe and secure humanitarian access to save lives. Israel Defense Forces @IDF Mar 20 Yes, there's been a crisis in Gaza since Hamas started war on Oct. 7 — that's why Israel's @cogatonline has delivered 17,647 trucks of humanitarian aid and counting. It's the UN's job to distribute it — but they aren't doing so properly. Yesterday, UN orgs only distributed 71% of the trucks that arrived. @UN, we're doing our part. Try doing yours. COGAT @cogatonline Mar 23 [Israel's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories] This aid has all accumulated and is waiting for @UNRWA and other @UN aid orgs to distribute it. This is the equivalent of hundreds of aid trucks—which isn’t being distributed to Gazan civilians. We remain committed to the transfer of aid to Gaza. Btw, 142 aid trucks are still waiting for pick up by the UN on the Gazan side of KS. Rep. Mike Gallagher has announced he is resigning his Congressional seat effective April 19. This is calculated. Gallagher could leave now, and allow his safe Republican seat to be filled quickly. Instead, he is deliberately leaving on a timeline that will leave it empty until November, leaving the GOP majority even smaller and making a Democrat House takeover a real possibility. Gallagher is a traitor to his party and to the people who voted for him. What a spiteful, repulsive creature. DC_Draino @DC_Draino Mar 22 Mile Gallagher is a backstabbing RINO He could resign now and allow his seat to be filled by a Republican but he’s waiting until after the cutoff in April so it remains vacant until November Why are these RINOs giving up our majority? 2 reasons - they hate MAGA and Trump If the 2024 electoral college is contested, not having a GOP majority could stop Trump via the 12th Amendment These swamp rats are playing for keeps but guess what? Wikipedia, parts -
Isaiah was the 8th-century BC Israelite prophet after whom the Book of Isaiah is named. The text of the Book of Isaiah refers to Isaiah as "the prophet", but the exact relationship between the Book of Isaiah and the actual prophet Isaiah is complicated. Isaiah probably lived to its close, and possibly into the reign of Manasseh. The time and manner of his death are not specified in either the Bible or other primary sources. The Talmud says that he suffered martyrdom by being sawn in two under the orders of Manasseh. The Eastern Orthodox Church (side note, largest religion in Russia) celebrates Saint Isaiah the Prophet with Saint Christopher on May 9.[33] A significant contributor to Jewish and Christian traditions. Not mentioned by name in the Quran or the Hadith, but appears frequently as a prophet in Muslim sources such as the qiṣaṣ al-anbiyāʾ and various tafsirs. Wouldn't hang the painting but the history of The Prophet Isaiah is fascinating. Thanks. Posted by: L - If they do it with you, they'll do it to you, too at March 25, 2024 10:49 AM (GshMh) 278

From Grape-Nuts website -
Grape-Nuts actually contains neither grapes nor nuts. It’s made from wheat and barley. So, why is it called Grape-Nuts? As with many great emblems in history, there are two versions of the story. One says that Mr. Post believed glucose, which he called “grape sugar,” formed during the baking process. This, combined with the nutty flavor of the cereal, is said to have inspired its name.
Another explanation claims that the cereal got its name from its resemblance to grape seeds, or grape “nuts.” Posted by: Chuck Martel If you've ever eaten it, story #2 is closest to the truth. Posted by: rickb223 at March 25, 2024 10:56 AM (G8h7g) 297
Why do the Democrats want the RINOs to give them the House now? Two reasons: 1. To end the impeachment inquiry against Biden 2. So they can pass an ex post facto, bill of attainder, declaring Trump an insurrectionist allowing them to remove him from the ballot. The Democrat Senate would rubber stamp it and Biden would sign it. While the SCOTUS would find this law utterly violates the Constitution, if the Democrats time it right they can disrupt the election. Then they use the Antifa/BLM rioters to imitate MAGA and declare martial law. Welcome to the official start of the USSA.
