Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | What happens when journalists from the left decide they can criticize the left?Dave Brown It really seems to hurt the feelings of mainstream journalists when people they thought they knew stop following the herd Are they just jealous? Or is there more? April Harding: Matt Taibbi was asked "why doesn't he pay much attention to the sins (or threats) from "the right"?" He gave a great answer: Why I don't spend a lot of time on the Republicans: 1) There is a enormous army of MSM reporters already going after them from every angle, with most major news organizations little more than proxies for the DNC, to the point where stations hire Biden spokespeople as anchors;Humorous timing for this observation, don't you think? 2) The Republicans have very little institutional power nationally. It's not their point of view prevailing in schools, on campuses, in newsrooms (where over 90% of working reporters vote blue), and especially in the intelligence and military apparatus, which has openly aligned itself with Democrats. Even if Donald Trump were a "threat to Democracy" he lacks the institutional pull to do much damage, which can't be said of Democrats;Clarity. 3) The Democrats' ambitions are significantly more dangerous than those of the Republicans. From digital surveillance to censorship to making Intel and enforcement agencies central players in domestic governance -- all plans being executed globally as well as in our one country -- they are thinking on a much bigger and more dangerous scale than Republicans. I lived in third world countries and the endless criminal indictments of people like Trump and ongoing lawfare efforts to prevent even third party challenges are classic authoritarian symptoms. The Republicans aren't near this kind of capability; He covers a lot of issues here. How is it that so many people do not seem to see problems with any of them, given that army of reporters out there? 4) Last and most important, the Democrats are being organized around a more potent but also much dumber, more cultlike ideology. People like Yuval Harari and his Transhumanist "divinity" concept scare me a lot more than the Rs, and I was once undercover in an apocalyptic church in Texas. Ask your average Russian or Cuban what overempowered pseudo-intellectuals are capable of. I have a pretty good record of picking dangerous phenomena ahead of time. I feel confident on this one, and that's before we get to the demographic/class shifts in the parties.I can't find anything in the text above that seems mushy-headed. Thoughts? There are some interesting comments in the thread at the link above. Heh. More on Taylor Lorenz: This is a perfect reading of her nonsense. Can you think of other people in media who have started criticizing the left unexpectedly?
Respect was invented to cover the empty place where love should be. Leo Tolstoy The Story Behind Handel's Messiah: Handel deliberately kept the dramatic content of his Messiah understated - it was in church after all. He created a piece based on three concepts: the story of the nativity and its prophecy; that of the crucifixion and redemption of mankind; and a commentary on the Christian soul and its victory over death. In each of these three parts, the chorus is absolutely at the heart of the work, complemented by four vocal soloists and an orchestra. Those forces deliver some of Handel's most heart-stopping music - gobsmackingly dramatic and effective, profoundly touching and spiritual. He used all his old tricks and learned some new (pretty good) ones too. Handel composed Messiah in just 24 days without getting much sleep and or eating much food. While writing the 'Hallelujah' chorus Handel's servant discovered him with tears in his eyes, and he exclaimed, "I did think I did see all Heaven before me, and the great God Himself seated on His throne, with His company of Angels." People generally have no idea how dangerous Democrats are. They believe it's hyperbole and politics. It isn't. If you've been on any flights lately you know the threats are real. The invasion of illegals immigrants is well organized and planned. The logistics could only be accomplished with government resources. These people are given money, shelter, healthcare, schooling and legal assistance. Many are carrying instructions on where to go and how to continue staying in the country- some even on how to vote. Many carry laminated instructions in several languages. They are given priority on many flights with some even in the premium sections eating the best in flight meals. It's insidious and horrifying at the same time. It's paid for completely with your money. It's ignored by the media because it's meant to replace you. To steal your services and rights as citizens. To make you less healthy, even dispose of you faster. To make your kids less educated. To steal your property. Until I saw this for myself, I believed it was overblown. It isn't, and I dare say Democrats will never give up power in November. They are completely undermining that entire process. It ends in an ugly way.

It has been growing for decades and seeping into every institution. It was 30 years ago that the CIA/NSA helped create Google and other social media to spy on us, create narratives and control us. But it wasn't until Trump came along and started talking about it that tens of millions of people started waking up to what has been going on. I think much of the insanity we are seeing from the left right now is an attempt to speed up the timeline because the movement that Trump is currently leading and others around the world like Milei have joined is an existential threat to them. Institutional power only exists when we allow them to have power and every day more are seeing that the institutions have become the threat. Trump is absolutely a threat to what they call democracy. I keep coming back to this; the left's ideology is their religion. They are very, very rabid about it, much like jihadi's are about Islam.
Both want you to adhere to their ideology or die. There is no room in either for any sort of middle ground. Neither will submit to anything but complete and total dominance. This is the absolute most important thing that people without strong ideological views should consider. If Trump and the Rs were to sweep the coming elections at best/worst you might get a return to the America of say...1992. He may indeed be a POS, but he now frequently goes off the reservation. Democrats have a massive operation to undermine the next election. They have lawyers, lawsuits and people on the ground in every important state. They have sued and won in numerous cases. In Democrat led states like Michigan they have completely undermined the process using mail in voting and no signature matching. There is zero integrity and it's designed to do one thing, stuff ballot boxes and get those votes over the finish line. That's because they know judges are cowards or in on the scheme. Remember this is about electoral votes and they don't need to run the table. They have an insidious plan to cause chaos, and part of it is falsely claiming Republicans are the "election deniers". They have their mouthpieces in the media peddling that lie. I don't care what the polls say, because in the end that will mean zero.

We are on the edge of following that path but we aren't fully there yet. The two situations have a lot of differences but the point is that change can come through peaceful means when enough people get tired of the lies and destruction of their way of life. The personal lives of media figures should tell you that in their public life they are making money. Coulter identified a media niche that nearly no-one else was doing, jumped on it, and made a mint. You're skipping a lot. For example, the WARNORD, which tells units to prepare for action. In almost every unit ever, this will mean shuffling people around because everything is so understrength. "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them."

Posted by: Martini Farmer at March 30, 2024 01:39 PM (Q4IgG) --- In order to integrate lots of illegals into the military, we'd have totally revamp the training because they would be closer to conscripts than the volunteers we are used to. Again, people on the outside don't see that, but conscripts you basically have to treat like prisoners - fenced in barracks, guard posts, frequent roll calls. We're two generations away from that, and the bases themselves have evolved away from it. So first, you'd have to build new facilities, or upgrade them, which takes time, and our current military cannot do anything fast. I have seen many instances where the drugs prescribed to a patient cause much more trouble than the original problem itself. Posted by: Tom Servo at March 30, 2024 01:58 PM (q3gwH) 317
Not sure I believe you, but whatever.
If you are currently in the military, either you only know what's going on in your little AO, or you aren't going to reveal the truths that are happening around you, and you shouldn't. The military is a rotted institution, just like everything else. Posted by: BurtTC at March 30, 2024 01:52 PM (Zhmrx) What you believe or don’t believe doesn’t matter to me. I’m in, and I was sent to monitor a piss test this year. Out here in the real world, that happened. But if you don’t want to believe it because it doesn’t align with your world view, I can’t help you. Maybe Santy Claus will have lots of neat gifts under their tree this year for you too. But what I will agree with you on is that there are problems in the military, and IMHO, it is because it is so focused deeply and intensely on exactly the wrong things. Having to do training on “extremism” is one of them. Posted by: Catch Thirty-Thr33 at March 30, 2024 01:59 PM (8sMut) 318
And yet the State Troopers still did it. They violated the law and the barber’s civil liberties, but hey, THEY WERE JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS.
Posted by: Catch Thirty-Thr33 at March 30, 2024 01:52 PM (8sMut) --- Whoa, keep the volume down, dude. You said that there were 900k cops ready and eager to open fire, and I pointed out that no, that wasn't the case. The State Police had to be called in because all the local agencies said no. The State Police cannot dominate Michigan. They can't even support their own road patrols - they contract those to county sheriffs. And yeah, he got arrested and let go, and the law authorizing the lockdown was struck down AND repealed, so in that case, the system somewhat worked. But that was one dude in the entire state, and it took the entire machinery of the state to do that because all other police organizations said "No, we won't enforce your silly state mandate." They’ve pushed out all the normies. They may not have replaced all of them yet with Antifa trannies. But they don’t have to. Even if they replace 60% it’s enough to kill millions of Americans.
That’s the end goal. Posted by: Montec And when they begin doing so, that's when the bonds of civility drop from me and many like me. I may be olde, and somewhat well nourished, but my spine is straight, my eyes are clear, and my conscious untroubled with what needs to be done at that point. I do honestly think that if by some miracle Trump wins in November the left will not abide. There will be a real insurrection between November and January. At a minimum, massive rioting and violence in an attempt to sway public opinion.

That’s the end goal. Posted by: Montec --- And an impossible one on any kind of useful time frame for them. The Pentagon is in deep denial over the manning crisis, and so they are holding phantom units in place because disbanding them means removing command positions. That they will not willingly do. Generals like being generals. That in turn means that units are understrength and incapable of fulfilling basic tasks. As I said before, the first step will be orders from on high requiring units to prepare themselves and this will require cannibalizing troops from other formations to reach operational capability. That will take time and cause a stir, and will give advanced warning to everyone else about what will happen next. It may even precipitate action within the military. In the meantime, people are still leaving, so the remaining troops have to work harder and also want to get out, leaving less even less capability. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. What I said was, I have no way of knowing how many active duty personnel are currently using cannabis, but I'm sure it's not an insignificant number. And then you said you monitor piss tests, so no, that's not true. You realize the flaw in your logic, do you not? How many rapes have you personally monitored in the military? You do realize there are not an insignificant number of rapes going on, right? Sorry to be so harsh, but you're going to dismiss what I'm saying if I don't lay it out for you. I'm sick of hearing about how Trump fucked up on Covid. He had the whole medical bureaucracy telling him what to do, including the designated people in charge of responding to medical emergencies. He did everything that Fauci told home to do - what else could he do?!
Any doctor that disagreed with Fauci was excommunicated, so how could Trump do anything but follow the experts? Anytime he showed the slightest tendency for independent thought, he was torn to pieces by the media! Trump was so controlled by the medical establishment that he's ashamed of it now, but what choice did he have?
