The House Democrat Under Investigation By the DOJ for Taking Taxpayer Money for Security and Paying It To Her Husband is... Cori Bush, Of Course

I mean, obviously. Duh.

She's a fat stupid thug and racist gangster.

Lock her up. Lock her up. Lock her up.

As RedState reported on Monday, a House Democrat is currently under criminal investigation for the misuse of government funds under the guise of paying for "security" services. Heavy speculation revolved around that Democrat being Rep. Cori Bush, and that has now been confirmed.

According to Punchbowl News, which broke the original story, the DOJ has subpoenaed the House Sergeant at Arms, who has records of how the money was allocated.

Bush's troubles involving payments for "security services" are well known, with allegations that she paid her now-husband $60,000 in early 2023. That dynamic raised eyebrows because the man in question was not even licensed to provide security services in Missouri.

[Punchbowl News:]

That's a problem because having a security license is required in Missouri to offer security services, and you would assume Merritts would have provided his "services" in Bush's district (especially given their personal relationship). Further, as the report notes, Bush's campaign shelled out hundreds of thousands of dollars in other payments to real security firms at the same time. That seems like a rather odd dynamic, does it not?

She also paid out a half million dollars for other "security services," which I'm going to guestulate went to other unemployable family members, fuckbuddies, and assorted BLM criminals. (And RedState points out that this level of spending on "security" for a congressperson is "absurdly overblown.")

There's still a lot more to learn, and things could get very messy in an election year. Bush is not the type of person who is going to go away quietly even if the DOJ drops the hammer on her. With that said, if she's indicted, she must be immediately expelled from the House. That is the standard that was set with George Santos recently, and Democrats should be made to abide by it.

Yeah I wouldn't count on that. Only Republicans are this stupid and weak.

Every year, at every company for which I've ever worked including a university, I have had to go through "ethics" training. These training modules have two focuses:
1. Avoiding bribery or the appearance of bribery in either direction
2. Avoiding conflicts of interest and procedures to declare potential conflicts of interest to the company

I, just a bottom-of-the-org-chart guy, have to do this every year. At some companies, it was twice a year. The summary of it all is always "Don't take bribes, don't give bribes, declare anything that might even loosely be interpreted as a conflict of interest."

Yet these masters of the universe are given a pass on it. Conflicts of interest are the basis for much political money laundering in the key to getting rich by campaigning.

Rules for me, not for thee.

Now, he inherited the seat from his father, Bill Clay, who held the seat for something like 40 years, so don't go rooting for the Clays.

Point being though, if she's being gone after now, somebody is settling a score that she started when she stepped in and unseated the sitting crime boss.

Step 1. Claim you have received vile, racist and/or sexist death threats due to something you said. Have your "security" boy-toy make fake death threat call that are recorded on your voicemail, if solid proof of death threats is needed.

Step 2. Make requests to friendly local, state, or Federal governments or gov't police forces for personal security.

Step 3. Get the friendly guys to give security funds directly to you to disburse.

Step 4. Have fun with the money!

Step 5: Repeat Steps 1-4 when you run short of free fun money.

134 You see this crap all over the place in African nations, its one of the reasons that they're incapable of advancement.

Almost literally the first thing any of them do on getting power is shoving their family members and friends into cushy positions, regardless of their actual ability to do the jobs.

It's one of the reasons Rhodesia/Zimbabwe went from being one of the biggest food producers in the world to starving in less than 20 years - because being a farmer was a prestigious position and farmers at the time could make a lot of money, they confiscated all the farms and handed them out to family members and people that had connections to the government. Of course none of the idiots had the slightest idea how to RUN a farm, so every one of the farms failed and most of them were abandoned by the Connected Elites when they weren't profitable anymore, and nobody else wanted to run them anymore because they had demonstrated that they would just confiscate them the second they were running again.

Posted by: "Perfessor" Squirrel

If they resigned/expelled prior to Jan 1, 2024--special elections to fill the seat must be held within sixty days. After that, it often depends on the election cycle in a state---someone resigning now might leave a vacancy until whenever the state's primary elections are held. Later in 2024, you can have the weird situation of a special election and a general election. The special would be to fill the seat until the new term begins in Jan 2025 which then would be filled by the general election winner.

Mostly depends on state law in federal general election years.

When you use the enemy's manipulative words like "racist" as if it's some kind of big gotcha, you're still just playing into their hands and letting them define your frame. Language is a weapon that they engineer to control you and assert phony moral authority. As long as we're arguing whether things are "racist" rather than it they're good or true, they're winning. 193 It's one of the reasons Rhodesia/Zimbabwe went from being one of the biggest food producers in the world to starving in less than 20 years - because being a farmer was a prestigious position and farmers at the time could make a lot of money, they confiscated all the farms and handed them out to family members and people that had connections to the government.

I hate to repeat myself (no I don't), but again, think of this like crime families. She "stole" her seat from one faction, and did so when the Michael Brown stuff was at its peak. The long-seated congressman, Lacy Clay, inherited the seat from his father, who had it for something like 40 years.

In other words, she violated one of those mafia rules... you don't go after made men (or women). She's going to get hers, one way or another, as soon as someone is strong enough to take her out, and this appears to be the time.

Foreign governments have been bribing and interfering in our democracy for centuries. And you have a perverted wealthy class, insider trading, and sex misdeeds. Check out the 1790's sex scandal involving Alexander Hamilton. Harding schtupped his mistress in the WH elevator and got her pregnant (confirmed via DNA recently), Grover Cleveland had an inappropriate relationship The XYZ affair, the French ambassador, Randolph Hearst, Woody Wilson's wife Edith running the WH while Woody was ga ga from a stroke, etc.

This is what governments and wealthy people do and have always done in history--

Speaking of shoddy science, I remember seeing one of those shows, on one of those channels that purported to be serious, before everything became ancient aliens, and one pointy headed nitwit was explaining how their theory, about the pyramids lining up with the stars, the original data came back showing they were off by some number of degrees.

So they changed the theory, and claimed the ancient aliens must have been building on sites that were accurate "at the time," but are no longer so, because of shifting geography.

Or maybe your stupid theory was wrong in the first place? Ever think of that??

Posted by: It's me donna
-----------
Being married separates the black middle and upper classes from the lower classes. In addition, there is strong sexual competition for the black males without a prison record, that have a college or higher education, wealth, and so on. Those black males are also attractive to white and other race females.

Same as the relatively few attractive males in colleges that are 60-40 females. Those males can play the field and often do. Black males with high SES status can and do as well. Supply and demand of scarce males as crude as it might seem.

Actually, Congress is a pretty good reflection of society. Think of the unscrupulous CEO's ruining a company for their own interests--like Bob Iger or the Boeing Calhoun idiot. Think of all the financial companies that would gladly double deal you and strip you of your assets. The rapacious local governments that suck in property and sales tax revenue and yet are always wanting more.

All these elite critters want an unstable society so they can go on looting without much consequence. That is why they try to divide and conquer the population. Now, apparently, the latest is those elites want people to starve, die, and eat bugs while being systematically stripped of any property and wealth. To accomplish this, they are literally importing a servile class that is easily disposable to replace their erstwhile fellow citizens in countries.

I think they're trying to deal with their messaging problem. The press has insinuated for years that when inflation abates, we "return to normal" or somesuch. Lots of people take that to mean, "prices go back to normal." The press - and the Party that controls it - has been happy to have people make that mistake.

But that isn't how it works and prices don't go down. People are increasingly resentful because they think they've been lied to. I think the Party is trying to reset expectations in time for the election.
