I have come to loathe and despise the liberal New Yorker and craven idiot narcissist Trump, and I'm going to say so.

But I like you guys, and don't want to upset any of you still supporting this clown.

So I'm going to put up two different posts: A GAINZZZ post with almost no content which you can use for GAINZZZ talk or just as a pure open post, and the Trump post.

You can obviously ignore the Trump post, or comment in both, as you like.

But I can't take it anymore with this guy.

I'm done.

Yep. We've all been watching politics for decades, but it's like we suddenly forgot everything.

I haven't watched TV news in years, or TV in general in years, except some things from the past century. I don't go to the movies, I don't subscribe to newspapers or magazines, I do not read any news online except the few places I trust.

So you can exempt me from the opinion shapers.

Am I not allowed to think Trump is an ass? I voted for him twice. I don't like him destroying people who should be his allies. And dear God in heaven knows that Trump needs every ally he can get. When he pisses off his base, that is just stupid. I don't think he's learned a thing from 2016-2020.

Yeah, it's the election cycle. It's like the tides. But shittier, because in Current Year, you only get six months of peace & quiet between eighteen month stretches of maximum-volume shell games and pageantry, legislative excess, financially reckless mass-bribes, election rigging, orchestrated street violence, political murders, and even the occasional manmade plague.

And you get regular people pretending they can turn back the tide. It's weird, but it happens, and this blog is mostly about politics, so it stands to reason that people will hammer on it here.

Overall, it's a small worry given what else will happen in the next eighteen months.

People want to credit Trump for things. I dunno, I tend to view it as all more or less irrelevant, when compared to the world as we know it collapsing into chaos. One other thing that I can't help but remember, and I think it's important for everyone going forward regardless of whether it's Desantis or someone else, is we as a nation were operating under the mistaken notion that people in charge loved America and Americans, and that they were acting in the best interests of her and us.

75 Here's how to think of Trump, as if this isn't obvious. He's an extreme uber-narcissist. Anything and everything he does is and will be all about him, all the time. Is that news? I sure hope not. So how do you deal with someone like that? Well, you can see them as long-term dangerous and avoid them. If possible. Or, if their obsessive self-interest also aligns with your interests, you can ally with them. But you can never forget that you are in the same place going the same direction BY COINCIDENCE. You are not really allies fighting for the same principles. And this is how it was for Trump from 2017-2020. He had all the right enemies, and his personal vendettas were against all the same people that torment conservatives. It was glorious, at times, to have Trump leading the charge against our enemies. Almost intoxicating, to the point that people forgot he wasn't fighting with us, he was just fighting his own fight which happened to be against the same people. If you've ever had a situation like this in your life, maybe at work, maybe in some other sphere of life, it might resonate and be easier to recognize. But I hope it's clear as day.

You can have your opinion but I must state that I've never seen a candidate so PROTECTED by the conservative pundrity. But hey, if Desantis is your guy then fine. Trump is my guy and will be the only candidate I vote for in 2024.

Think that last part over. And there are tens of millions of Trump voters who feel exactly like me. I've no problem with a "circular firing squad" if it comes down to it. Republicans helped Democrats and the deep state STEAL the 2020 election. Until that wrong is made right, I could care less if the G.O.P. ever wins another election. Ever.

I"m not going to spend another 30 years wandering the desert because the Right wanted Bearded Jesus not Bucktoothed Jesus. A significant number of trump supporters are of the same mind. If we leave, it'll be forever and you'll never see another Republican elected president in your lifetime.

Regardless, I still respect your difference of opinion regarding trump, just don't draw equivalence between "only Trumpers" and those treacherous fcking NeverTrump weasels that broke the Pact.
