Ilhan Omar Booted Off Foreign Affairs Committee, Claims She Was Targeted Because She Is a Muslim and an Immigrant, and Not Because She's an Antisemtic Terrorism Apologist (and Immigration Fraudster)

Although three Republicans, including Nancy Mace, were threatening to vote to keep her on the sensitive committee, whose members see classified documents about foreign countries (terrorist-harboring countries, for example), in the end, only one Republican failed to vote to exclude her from the committee, instead voting "Present."

Had the three Republicans carried out their cvckish virtue signalling threat, Omar would be on the Committee, because the Republicans can only afford to lose four votes in any vote, and one Republican is currently absent due to ill health.

Weird how no one ever quotes what this "threat" was. And I know the left claims that "f*** you" is a "r@pe threat," and "kill yourself" is a "death threat."

Pretty much whenever you're disagreeing with leftists, you are Literally Threatening Their Lives and Causing Them Physical Harm.

This terror simp also routinely claims that the US and Israel are guilty of warcrimes when they counter-attack terrorist groups. And she claims that Hamas and the US (and Israel) are morally equivalent and should both be brought to "justice" for their terrorism.

Now I personally don't think people should be #cancelled for borderline "tropes." But the left does.

She also engages in terror minimization or terror denial, saying, for example, that "some people did something on 9/11." Not only is she refusing to acknowledge the full horror of 9/11, but she's also playing along with a common terrorist meme that it wasn't extremist jihadist Muslims who carried out 9/11 -- but the Jews.

Did she intend that? Given her general pro-terror sympathies, I'd say yes, she did intend that. She doesn't want to break the Jihadist Omerta and admit jihadists, not Jews, did 9/11.

I'm not buying her claims that every time she says something antisemitic or pro-terrorist, my gosh, she just had no idea it could be taken that way!

And also: You just can't offer rhetorical cover to terrorist groups like Hamas or the Taiblan and get to read classified intelligence about those selfsame* terrorist groups. You. Just. Can't.

So this terror-bitch got to go.

Last weekend, Ilhan Omar, who has been in this country since she was six years old (if I remember right -- and wow has she not mastered the English language after all this time), claimed she didn't know that saying Jews were all about money was an antisemitic trope, and boy she sure is grateful to the ADL and other leftwing Jewish political groups for "educating" her on these complex issues.

A specific threat could be identified, but it needn't be. She lives in the United States, which is a patriarchal, Christofascist country rooted in white supremacism and that operates through deep-rooted systems of oppression.

For women, people of color, immigrants, sexual minorities, etc., this is a deeply hostile and threatening place to live. When a person - like Ms. Omar - is many of those things in combination, the day-to-day terror is palpable in all things. She has managed to rise to the level of Congresswoman, but she is still oppressed and stymied at every turn and at all times by regressive elements that fear and despise any "Other" in their midst.

The mere act of drawing breath in this country comes with implicit and total threats if you're one such as she. And this is made all the worse because all attempts at reform - including her own attempts at progressive - will be snuffed out by white men looking to maintain their ill-gotten, illegitimate positions of power and control.

This is some of the most inside of inside baseball. Is it going to materially affect American governance in any way? I doubt it. I'd bet, right now, that there will not be single cut in spending. Odds are probably 50% or a bit less that there will be government-style "spending cuts" where the increases are smaller than demanded. Non-zero but tiny chance of the same level of spending.

The GOP, in general, is not interested in anything different from what interests the "other side" of the Uniparty. They'll make some noise, rustle up some donations, and do what they always do.

Basically, due to logrolling of special interests, the only way to cut is put a straightjacket on all spending and like you said, reducing or eliminating future spending increases are easier to swallow than actual cuts. But even a sequestration that limits spending increases in the future to 1-2 percent is somewhat of a victory as the real value of those dollars is probably decreasing at a 9-10 percent clip annually due to inflation.

Well I'm on the beta blockers and the low sodium diet because a different medication fucked with my blood pressure and heart rate so I get it.

The energy thing can probably get better. They made me super tired and slow for a while - six months to a year - and I hated it. I don't really feel that anymore. Like I'm probably back to 85 to 90% energy wise.

The other weird thing about them is I get these insanely mundane and never ending dreams that go on and on. Glad to hear you're okay. The lifestyle changes suck but if it makes you feel better anyone over 50 should ideally be on low sodium.

I don't expect much difference between the groups until you get into the last group of Boomers (1960-64 or so). Big institutions--big media, big industry, big education, big government, were all viewed favorably by successive generations including the 'Greatest' and evidence to the contrary was viewed as vaguely traitorous.

Gen X was probably the first to grow up noticing all those 'big' institutions lied to them and mistreated them as a legacy of economic hard times, Vietnam aftermath, and Watergate.

But I am 29. Low fat, low cholesterol are really not all that hard, just different. And my normal BP is around 120/80 or better. So I probably don't strictly need LOW sodium.

I could certainly layoff mainlining McDs French Fries, but 2000 mg Na per day is hard. 1500 mg Na per day is brutal.

There is a lady (pretty liberal Democrat, but a nice person) I know who teaches English in Westerville (Ohio, suburb of Columbus) schools, mother of friend of my sons' in HS. One semester, she had kids from Ghana immigrants. Really nice kids, eager to learn, respectful and well behaved. Their parents came here, committed to becoming Americans.
The next semester, she had Somali kids, and they were a really bad experience. Mocked her as some blond Christian devil or whore. She was pretty disgusted with the experience.

As someone in the same boat due to successive Covid infections causing bp spikes, my advise on low sodium diets is to cook it yourself and use plenty of spices to substitute for the lack of salt, fat, and sugar found in processed foods.

Lime juice in particular can help with some dishes as a salt substitute--Cholula is quite good on scrambled eggs and such. Peppers will be your friend as well.

No, that has been debunked for years. Some genetically sensitive people need low salt--most do not. A few genetically need moderate or even high salt intake or risk heart damage etc.

CDC fudged the research findings because a lot of the genetically sensitive people were black so CDC felt it was racist and promoted low salt for all. When caught out, CDC basically said something like well no one needs that amount of salt anyway.

Truth is on health--there is no one size fits all public health approach that works because it is individual genetics and how that interacts with diet, exercise, etc. that determine outcomes.

There are exceptions to every statistic but the unfortunately you are not representative of your cohort as has been repeated documented via surveys as to source and trust of information.

It is that sort of sensitivity about group membership that gives the Boomers a bad name. The trope not everyone is like that does not mean that the average member of a group does not behave as described. Trying to negate points by claiming not all of X is like that obfuscates real data indicating the opposite.

I could have changed it to the Silents and I doubt you would have said a word about it.
