Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Medicinal Use Of Gaslighting For The Healing Of Institutional Trust [moviegique]When I first read about Walter Duranty and the New York Times' handling of the Holodomor--in essence to do what we all agree is unconscionable with regard to the Holocaust--I asked people "Why is the New York Times still allowed to exist?" That is to say, here is an institution that covered for genocide (and more than once!), that never apologized (apart from a low-key "whoopsie" 70 years later on their website), which still purports to be the Source of Truth for the country (if not the world). And setting aside the deaths of millions (much like the Times has), what is wrong with people that the paper is purchased, listened to, still even sets the topics of the day (which is, like, 80% of controlling the media)? Why do people allow it continue on its merry way instead of treating it like Life magazine after it glorified the Attica riots? Which brings me to the topic of Gell-Mann Amnesia, and how it doesn't apply just to newspapers, as the CDC continues its denial of...well, just about everything. At issue today is their denial that they ever prohibited Ivermectin for use against Covid-19. Y'know: Horse paste. You are not a horse, etc. "They did not say it's prohibited or it's unlawful. They also did not say that doctors may not prescribe ivermectin," Isaac Belfer, one of the lawyers for the government, said during a Nov. 1, 2022, hearing in federal court in Texas. No, they just publicly mocked anyone who disagreed, knowing that various official and unofficial organs at state and local levels would bring the hammer down, and crafting for themselves the exact level of "plausible deniability" our corrupt court system will use to get them off the hook. Which is the way our government works these days. (Y'know: Illegitimately.) Much like the FBI, the Social Security Administration, and 99.99% of the US government, the FDA has no right to exist. The Constitution does not provide for the Federal government deciding who lives and who dies, who can eat what, and what the hell good medicine is. Worse, their actions (and inaction) have long been callous, evil and protectionist beyond the criminal dreams of any mafia. Sharyl Attkisson does yeoman's work on her site, commenting on the stories of the past 20 years that have been buried by the mainstream media, like this one on babies being sacrificed in "reputable" medical studies. But, of course, much like the intelligence agencies' colossal failure on 9/11, the FDA's repeated colossal failure and repressive actions will most likely be used to claim they were right all along, only underfunded. And the GOP will expand their power and budget, and tweet out the next day "Republicans believe in small government!" Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

There's a meme I've seen on Twitter where the CDC deflects criticism by saying (paraphrased), "We didn't make the law, we only make recommendations. Talk to the gov't." Government then deflects by saying, "We are only following the recommendation of the CDC, who are following the science. It's all on them." Round and round we go. Its hard to find. In 1997 Lancet (back when it was at least more respectable) ran a study claiming that there may have been deaths in Nursing Homes caused by a cocktail of drugs including Ivermectin, but they did not give a direct connection. https://tinyurl.com/2h6d2ntt A New Mexico story in 2021 claimed that several died from abuse of Ivermectin due to kidney failure (overdose, basically), and linked an earlier NYT story stating that the American Association of Poison Control Centers has reported 1,440 cases of ivermectin poisoning in 2021. Again, overdoses, excessive amounts taken. The stuff a very kindly commenter here sent me when I had the Wuhan Flu had very clearly marked sections on the plunger based on weight, so you could carefully dose yourself. But I could see people just taking too much and getting into trouble. Nowhere did I find any evidence of anyone getting sick or dying from using the proper dosage. I'll tell you this: I got the Wuhan Flu two weeks after my brothers both did in early 2022. It was the sickest I have ever been, we all three were incredibly miserable. Then, one day, theirs broke and they were getting better. It wore off after a while.
OK now here's my story. Two weeks after they got it, I got it and was awfully sick as I say. Someone from here very kindly sent me some Zinc and Quercetin (which I added to my daily regimen), and Ivermectin. I started taking Ivermecting and in 24 hours the crud had ended, I was just weak and sickly instead of "Oh Lord Jesus I'm coming home soon". Despite being 2 weeks later than my brothers getting exactly the same strain, I was over it within a day of them. It was not "getting over it", I was healed by the Ivermectin, period. ++++ Weaselly shit. The FDA didn't tell doctors they couldn't prescribe it, the state medical boards did. The state medical boards did so in response to a combination of pressures from the media and the federal government - yes, including the FDA - and due to the same tyrannical streak that the FDA exhibits. The bans and threats around Ivermectin, prohibition of prescription in certain states and unilateral actions taken by pharmacies to withhold supplies of the drug was done with the full knowledge - and endorsement - of the US federal government and its agencies. They could have intervened. They are the damn regulator. They chose not to. So no. The FDA did not ban it. The FDA had no means - or need - to do so. They stood on the sidelines and cheered on the decisions to ban it, and gleefully piled on to the Ivermectin hate train and helped provide air cover. Isaac Belfer, one of the lawyers for the government, can fuck off. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at January 04, 2023 04:19 PM (t0OGg) 62

Plandemic was an opportunity to usurp peaceful revolution in the US. It was the crisis not wasted.
MAGA (under Trump et al.) was profoundly successful and with rocket-like ascension. Populism was ascendant. That could not stand. So with malice aforethought, the Wuhan Flu was the opportunity to shut down a soaring economy that was being led by Outsiders (The Other). Everything subsequent was based on this premise: Kill the US economy and you castrate MAGA and its power. CDC/FDA were instrumental political institutions in the creation and expansion of the crisis not to be wasted. Here's what happened re McCarthy:
He shot his wad too early. He, like most members of Congress, isn't an intellectual heavyweight. His staff aren't either, and are most concerned with being yes-men long enough to put "Staff to Speaker..." on their resume when applying for lobbying jobs. Their echo chamber spent months telling each other about the coming red wave, so they didn't do anything to shore up actual votes in the chamber for McCarthy. The 20-30 seat majority was a fait accompli, so they horse-traded away all their big bargaining chips early and thought they had the difficult ones (MTG) sewn up. They were wholly unprepared for the process of attaining the Speaker's gavel with a four-seat majority. They have no chips left to bargain, McCarthy's ego won't let him step aside (he already moved his shit into the Speaker's office ffs..) and here we are. The FDA didn't tell doctors they couldn't prescribe it, the state medical boards did. The state medical boards did so in response to a combination of pressures from the media and the federal government - yes, including the FDA - and due to the same tyrannical streak that the FDA exhibits.

They absolutely did tell docs they couldn't prescribe it. I can read my doc (of 20 years) well enough to know when he is complying and when he believes what he's saying.
== In some states the state medical board got involved. In others it was the pharmacy board that refused to have the Dr's Rx filled. Which is total horseshit. It was a top down and bottom up attack. Because there were docs within the system who were ratting out other doc's for trying to give it. Because they were convinced that the CDC/ FDA said it was dangerous or did no good. The idea that it would have been HARMFUL to her to be given ivermectin or the other "forbidden" treatments is every bit as evil as the fact that she died without seeing a single person she loved. Posted by: polynikes at January 04, 2023 04:20 PM (8rSKd) ++++ There are probably a number of reasons. I can think of a few off the top my head, including: 1. Widespread use of anti-parasitics, primarily Ivermectin 2. A very young population on average (lower risk) 3. Large amounts of sunshine and high temperatures, and a lot of time spent outdoors (lower risk) 4. Relatively little travel (slower spread) There are a ton of confounding variables in Africa. The FDA is a lot more culpable than just IVM.
I don't see this mentioned anywhere, so I bring it up here. The FDA defines the best practices and protocols for hospitals. They define what procedures need to be followed. Right from the start their protocols seem to have been designed to maximize use of materials and time. Anyone entering a covid patient's room had to gown up and degown. That is not what you do when you have a ward full of people with the same infection. That is not what you do in an emergency. This added a lot of misery as patients were left alone to die. Oh BTW, a French university just published a paper that *proved the mechanism of action of ivermectin against Covid-19 disease*. Repeat, proved the mechanism of action. It works. How does it work? It prevents the spike protein from doing something pathological with red blood cells. Jessica Rose, one of my favorite Substackers, speculated this could be the mechanism of action nearly a year ago, based on similarities between how the spike protein messes up red blood cells and how malaria messes up red blood cells. Ivermectin, in 30 years since its introduction over 3.7 billion doses distributed. Labeled a wonder drug by the WHO. Its creators awarded the Nobel prize in 2015. It was its undeniable success as a prophylactic that generated the campaign against it and it was all about the money . With a successful prophylactic available, under the Fda's rules , an EUA can not be issued . Without the EUA, no mrna vaccines, no remdesiver . This isn't gaslighting. they wanted a death count. they wanted - needed - deaths in order to continue lockdowns and oppression. ...
during COVID our govt - either on their own or at the behest of some other coalition - was purposely manufacturing deaths. Posted by: BlackOrchidIsNotAmused ------------ This is one toke over the line for me. I think 90% was greed, and 9% incompetence. All forces were aligned to profit as much as possible - the drug industrial complex, the hospital industrial complex, etc. There were also forces that jumped on those decisions to steal the election by pumping up the body count, and forces that jumped on all that to seize power. Underlying it all was the total lack of concern for the people they murdered -- true. But it was not a planned murder spree. The nursing home fiasco goes to my above comment about protocol. The FDA had very strict requirements for covid patients, and gov. paid hospitals for treatment and at some point they had to move them out for convenience. What was strange, there were state Governors (Oklahoma, iirc, and there may have been others) who (somehow) prohibited Doctors from prescribing Ivermectin in 2020 - n.b. this was before any vaccine was available. This makes no sense, even if (somehow) a governor is legally permitted to practice medicine without a license.
Post World War II the US government has a terrible record of experimenting on citizens. Nuclear atmospheric testing in Nevada was always scheduled so prevailing winds sent the fallout somewhere other than say, Las Vegas. SW Utah was preferred, The CIA and various universities and spook contractors performed countless chemical and biological experiments on unwitting prisoners, civilians, military, and government personnel. The list is extensive and difficult to believe. Posted by: Common Tater at January 04, 2023 04:57 PM (kL9Oc) 273

I can guess at a couple reasons: Because they needed the panic and not calm, simple solutions Because they were terrified and scrambling for big government solutions because "daddy save us" Because they were being paid by Big Pharma to shut down any potential solutions that their new shot would have to compete with (they were working on this long before Trump told them to). Because they needed the deaths to justify their overreaction ------------ Because Moderna's patented genetic sequence was in the virus, and they had the "vaccine" ready. 2017 puff piece on Moderna: "His presentation instead focused on four vaccines that the company is moving through the first phase of clinical trials: two target strains of influenza, a third is for Zika virus, and the fourth remains a secret. Another factor.
Early treatment would require Dr. Office visits, and in the early days many Dr.s were panicked that their offices would become vectors. This is standard concern for highly contagious epidemics. This is why countries set up "fever clinics." But this time around the West followed FDA protocol which would not work with a fever clinic. So early treatment was restricted from three sides - drug companies that did not want a solution before the vax, Medical establishment which did not want to harm office visits, and FDA that did not want to give in on protocols. The Swiss should grovel in shame for willingly hosting such a horror. Jim Sunk New Dawn Galveston, TX Posted by: Jim at January 04, 2023 05:24 PM (e6UQI) Agree. Cleveland Clinic pre-print study of 51k employees in 3-month period show the more "vaccine" doses they had, the more likely they would test positive for COVID: 1 dose 1.7x more likely than pureblood, 2 doses 2.63x more likely, 3 doses 3.1x more likely, 4+ doses 3.8x more likely.

In the real life Godfather series, Michael succeeded in transitioning and took over the entire country. Part of the plan was to bust all the dumb thugs and goons while calling them "bosses" and claim the Mafia had been defeated. They didn't really need then any more any way.

My doctor told me it was for parasites, and wouldn't give it to me. Got some from my brother after testing positive. Screw that lie that "they didn't say not to use it".

No, the FDA didn't ban Ivermectin. But the FDA "guidelines" became the standard for determining insurance coverage. Going outside of FDA guidelines becomes "experimental" and the insurance companies have no obligation to cover that. Ditto for the pharmacies. Same goes for the licensing boards: step outside of the guidelines, and you're a maverick going out on your own, while the boards need not recognize you.
So even though the FDA only issues "guidelines" any physician or pharmacist who doesn't follow them will not get reimbursed from the insurance companies, and will be cast out from the licensed community. But, no - the FDA didn't really ban ivermectin. It's just that their "guidelines" have been the standard against which all else is measured. They tried to kill me. Yes, that's a bit of hyperbole; but because of my cancer treatments, the vaccine would have killed me.
So they can all go straight back to the devil. Posted by: setnaffa at January 04, 2023 06:11 PM (WgEgc) 401
NY State took the unprecedented measure of singling out one drug: Hydroxychloroquine as prohibited from off label use.
Because Trump "touted" it by suggesting that maybe there were some promising therapeutics out there that reputable doctors had reported on anecdotally, and which had incredibly safe drug profiles. I haven't read them all but most of the well publicized Ivermectin trials have weird and subjective end points such as "time of resolution of mild to moderate symptoms" and establish strange thresholds to "effectiveness" such as a greater than 30% relative risk reduction in mortality. Yet so many drugs and interventions are routinely prescribed for single-digit improvements. Other studies have tiny participant groups, and others (major study in Brazil) major confounders such as including the vaccinated in the study --with I'm sure a strong correlation between those willing to be vaccinated and participating in a study. It's a dog's-breakfast of meaningless, biased and flawed studies, generated mostly for the top line (misleading) finding of "Haw Haw Ivermectin Stoopid" and similar. The drug ivermectin HAS been approved for treating humans. They are very specifically stating "not approved for Covid", NOT stating "not approved as a medicine for people". In fact, they approved it so much they gave the creator the Nobel prize.
Any suggestion that it is dangerous is thus false advertising, practicing medicine without a license or medical malpractice, and felony reckless endangerment. And there is no more Covid now than there is Spanish Flu now, both have mutated to become just another of hundreds of variety of the common cold. Mostly harmless, well, unless you are wearing a mask, in which case you may get what is breeding in that constantly warm, moist disease garden, such as pneumonia, sepsis, rocky mountain spotted fever, to name just some of the bacteria actually detected in masks (99% chance of them, to). Oh, why did they specifically and pointedly state that it is not approved "for the treatment of Covid"? As stated by the Nazi minister of propaganda, "it's not what you say, it's what you don't say". What they are carefully not saying is that Ivermectin HAS ben approved (very strongly, they gave it a Nobel prize) for treatment of viruses, in humans.
Ivermectin has two big problems. It works, and it is cheap. The CDC gets 40% of it's money from the big drug companies. Follow the benjamins. Posted by: Nightfall at January 05, 2023 02:23 AM (xwoai) 408
