Yawn.

Yawn.

Cutest little army crawl.

Dave French says "That must be my car!!!" Not that he has that make or model. He thinks God's telling him to take that car.

Trick play.

These geese are going to steal $600 million in bearer bonds.

Cat flows like water. Here's another cat using the same fence-threading technique.

Matched set.

Piiiooonggg!

You think it was cold where you are today?

beverlyhillscop.jpg

It had a really good opening scene, if you excuse the Glenn Frye.

It was a more innocent time. We didn't know any better.

The pic on the right is from the sequel. I know that because of the rule that the sequel must be "Biggerer and Betterer." In the first one, he just wore a ratty "Property of Mumford HS Athletic Department" t-shirt. In the second one, he wore that varsity jacket. Forget what they're called. I think that was also Mumford-branded.

Sylvester Stallone was attached to Beverly Hills Cop for a while. He dropped out. I think because of "creative differences." I think he had in mind a more "serious" movie. Unless I'm just making this up -- and who knows, I might just be making it up, my brain is almost 29 -- I think he took the ideas he had for Beverly Hills Cop, which had been rejected, and wrote them into a script for a little movie you might have heard of called "I Don't Shop Here."

Nothing in that scene makes sense. Literally nothing.

In Japan "I Don't Shop Here" was released as Sullen Man Who Eats Pizza With Scissors Has Sexiful Car That Flies Now!!!

Wait, was this supposed to be more serious than Beverly Hills Cop?

The Savage Cuteness.

Remember being back in university and having conversations with members of the oh-so-serious Beatnik/Maoist/Socialist crowd? The ones that never cracked a smile, always were focused on The Struggle, always quick to kill the mood or jump on random statements to prove a point? The ones that made the Campus Crusade For Christ look like warm, friendly, easy-going people? Well, the descendants of those killjoys got jobs in Hollywood, while their friends and relations took over social media to provide the echo chamber. So yes, comedy died about 12 years ago.

110 Mr. J. Snappington Turtle sure does look like he's blinkered by an advanced case of cataracts.

Makes ya wonder how he's catching his dinner, given that he's an Apex sight-hunting predator. And don't let that slow-roll he was doing towards the camera fool you.

A snapping turtle is rattlesnake quick when it strikes. You really didn't need those fingers anyway, right? /s

If the fish or tadpole swims by close enough to be seen, even if only in shadow, the Snapping Turtle has an amazingly accurate strike. I've seen it in the wildlife videos. Oh, and that murky water tends to still have a few feet of visibility, once you're under the actual surface.

Those "GoPro" type cameras, plunged into the water on a pole, really have done a great job of going where the diver might avoid, otherwise.

I expect she has more people who genuinely love her than Soros does, because when when you're that wealthy you can never be sure if people are sucking up to you to get something or because they actually like you. there is a reason they were granted immunity and there is a reason the actual medical research data seems to be a more closely guarded secret than the nuclear codes....

The covid wars pissed me off, and frankly my rage at the idiocies at Tepid and Instry on the matter have me persona non grata there.

My family was told forcefully "get the shot or:"

In my wife and son's case it would have been adverse discharges and in my case I would have lost my contract.

I made the concious decision to take the risk first and allow them to see if I paid a price. That my wife has cancer in the wake of the shots pisses me off, but in fairness as Popping Ed says statistically it is the most likely cancer for her "Birthing person" type and it rather survivable. I am glad I am past the half way point of my life and am slowly coming around to looking forward to dying I would not want to live on an Earth without my wife.

MRNA technology is not new, it was first being researched and brought to market as a cancer fighting technology, and while not technically a gene therapy, it jacks with gene expression, which it is why it was put on the shelf.

The idea that pharma just pulled the MRNA vaccine out of their a**es for the Plandemic is quite funny.

forgive me, I am in a dark mood on "just asking questions" on COVID I did not appreicate the loose change retards and I am of the opinion that COVID 19 has become GloboHomo's perpetual "I WIN!" button for the rest of my life.

My no bullshit read on it going back to mid 2019 was that a hollowed out gain of fuction research vector got loose in the wild and was killing people, it turns out that it was probably funded by the US government and the response to it has been the greatest assault on freedom and medical professionalism in modern history.

I do not think anything we say here will change any of that, the only thing I am wondering these days is whether it was done on purpose or not.

Take solace in the fact that the first generation of COVID 19 deaths in Asia was horrible and had THAT strain been the unchanging baseline a lot of the idiocy would have been justified.

See, this is the stuff that annoys the hell out of me. My lovely wife also has a constellation of auto-immune issues and is terribly compromised. Her guys at Cleveland Clinic were vehemently opposed to her receiving the jab. I realize, of course, that every person's ailments are unique and that treatments for any ill must be tailored to that specific person but, when folks with seemingly related ailments are told "Yes! Absolutely!!" or "NO! Never!!" by different experts for a protocol, it makes one wonder just what the hell is going on.

I didn't read the entire thread, but what I did read I didn't find depressing. It's very hard that people have loved ones who are very sick, but they love their family members and their family members love them back. That love is a great thing. I find the Covid discussions less depressing than the political ones where "The Republic is over" is the main theme.

Why don't you contribute something more upbeat?
