It's one thing to move a fundraising email to spam yourself. It's quite another for Google to do it. We may find this annoying, but that's how the GOP gets a lot of small donations and spreads issue awareness. It's also is a key part of GOTV.

Not only are my vids and playlists and subs all gone, I can't Like a video or leave a comment.
Why? Because unspecified complaints or violations of what exactly they did not say. I have appealed but have heard nothing back and I'm still down, probably for good. Thing is, I'm a small-fry, a nobody. Although I've been posting vids to YouTube since before Gargooyle bought it, my stuff is whatever the opposite of viral is. Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at October 06, 2022 03:43 PM (Ivdso) ========== That's what Paul Ryan did in 2018. He helped organize the kneecapping of the House GOP by encouraging Republicans to retire instead of use their incumbency to help win races. It was a short term political win through losing for them. Trump was weakened in his first term right when Russian collusion stopped being a national issue. It's a long-term political loser, though. You don't gain political power by giving it up. The GOP congress of 2023 is going to be much more MAGA-like than the GOP Congress of 2017. I think it's a trick to say they investigated Hunter thoroughly and found these relatively minor crimes so now all the investigations are over. He'll pay some fines and that will be that.
Hunter was always small potatoes and these crimes are the least of what he and his corrupt family were doing for years including while Joe was VP. Posted by: JackStraw at October 06, 2022 03:36 PM (ZLI7S) I'm guessing this was leaked by agents pissed at the FBI coverup of Hunter's misdeeds. I also wouldn't be surprised if the goal was to push Biden to resign by using Hunter as leverage. He resigns, the DOJ declines to prosecute, President Harris tells everyone that we need to move on, because moving on is what helps us move onward, to a place where we've moved beyond the things that we left behind. If only the RNC could do the same analysis on how much free CPC advertising is given to Democrat candidates (or any candidate anywhere in the world) without anyone having a clue. Hundreds of millions or more likely billions in unreported in-kind contributions to leftist candidates and maybe an abortion referendum somewhere or a Presidential election in some resource-rich country. What "non-profit" get out the vote groups get free Google ads? And not just talking about a few thousand dollars worth as an inducement to "try" Google. Are Google ad sales people penalized for giving away a few million in free ads to the "right" candidate?
Maybe a R Congress could require these disclosures someday from Google, FB, Apple, Microsoft, Reddit, and others. Posted by: mercury at October 06, 2022 03:47 PM (cT+i/) 271

As Ace said a few days ago, I don't think the Supreme Court will clamp down on Google, despite the fact it needs to be abolished.
They are doing this right in our faces, and nothing will ever happen to them. Even purging them won't do a thing, because so many other sheep use it daily. == Actually, I think a probable action is that the Supreme Court will rule that section 230 does protect them, but that the entity has an obligation to utilize that provision in a manner consistent with its rules, and that if they fail to operate with that rule in place, crying for its protection now is too late. Very common in various avenues of the law. Since Google - and all the others inconsistently apply the rules - which is very discoverable - they therefore were OK with ISIS recruiting on their platform, since they have demonstrated they will take down that which they disagree with. Ergo, you are negligent and liable. If I were google I'd find a way to quietly settle it. They are caught in a box. I think they would prefer the quiet money settlement over the can of worms the SCOTUS ruling on this would make for them. Posted by: Black JEM at October 06, 2022 04:01 PM (xWZcb) 352

OT-Anybody here Eastern Orthodox or Greek Orthodox or have an interest in it? This is a really neat video (19 minutes) with great chanting. It is about the life of St, Nektarious,a Greek man who became a monk, an Abbot a priest and who died in 1920. His life was very interesting. He performed miracles during his life and after his death . As far as Saints go, 1920 seems pretty recent to me. Anyway, I just learned he is one patron Saint for people affected by Cancer. And No, I don't see anything wrong with asking Saints to intercede. I'm not praying TO them. I'm asking them to pray for my intentions in far as they are in God's will because they are very holy and I am only striving after it in poor fashion. If what I pray for is God's will they can put in a good word for me, just as I would ask my friends on earth to pray for me. I explain this only because when I bring up the idea of Saints I am told by
Christian folks who don't have that tradition that we Protestants can go to God and we don't need a "middleman". Yes we can go to God and do, but I need all the help I can get. This is why I've grown to automatically reject the "muh corporationz is peeplez" type of argument. I didn't used to, but I do now. I've watched as these large corporations grew powerful enough to steamroll any competition through their influence with regulatory and taxation authorities. And in return, all the State asked was that they help it obviate the Constitution by enforcing its will, using their oligopolies in the private sector. Now, we have this unholy, symbiotic coupling of industry and State. While it's illegal to have the Post Office destroy campaign mailers, it's perfectly legal for Google to do it. Oh well, just whine about it to Fox News and make a futile complaint to the Biden-controlled FTC. Gee, it's almost like the Marxist's successful long march through the institutions -- to where they now control every institution in the country and the world -- has consequences that reduce conservatives to have no recourse other than to whine about how unfair everything is when Marxists control everything. Imagine that. And even if the GOP exercised its "legislative power", what does it matter. If no one exists in a position of authority to actually ENFORCE the laws, then legislation means nothing. Anyone enforcing immigration laws? Nope. Anyone enforcing laws against criminality in any major city in the country? Nope. Posted by: Clyde Shelton at October 06, 2022 04:59 PM (Do5/p) 391
