The question is, should this crumpling of a photo be reported to the crumpler's supervisor as a possible sign of workplace violence? He answered "No," because it's not violence and none of his business. The Navy -- the US Navy! -- says it is violence, and Navy personnel should now rat on each other to their supervisors about such minor matters. "Oh, there's a good Maddow on tonight on the new 'MSNBClassic' streaming channel I signed for as a lifetime subscriber for the low, low locked-in price of just $40 per month. He believed it was Russian disinformation of some kind. At the very least, he believed the laptop had been insinuated into the public view by shady actors, probably by RUSSIAN AGENTS. When someone pointed out the laptop and simply been abandoned at a computer repair shop and the owner himself had turned it over to the FBI, Jonah demanded, incredulously, "And you believe that? At face value?" Well:
Who we are. A walk down memory lane -- and a walk into the near future, from Deb Heine: Deb Heine, DissidentThe articles and videos Deb references can be found in the thread where she first posted. Surprise: Political "experts" aren't experts, and their pronouncements and predictions are less accurate than those of random members of the public. Cable news and talk radio are brimming with political experts -- pollsters, consultants, former politicians, etc. -- who supposedly have keen insight into what will happen in the world of governance. The thing is, when they make predictions on political matters, they're pretty bad at it. Between the 1980s and early 2000s, Philip E. Tetlock, a Professor of Psychology at Penn focused on politics and decision-making, conducted a long-term study in which he recruited 284 people whose professions included "commenting or offering advice on political and economic trends" to predict the outcome of various political events. At the same time, he had laypersons do the same, collecting 82,361 forecasts over two decades. When the study concluded, the experts barely outperformed the non-experts, if at all. Reviewing Tetlock's work, Professors Adrian E. Tschoegl and J. Scott Armstrong, both at Penn, noted, "Beyond a low threshold, additional expertise did not result in greater accuracy in forecasting, and there was some evidence that those with the most expertise were less effective at using new information and thus less able to improve their accuracy." A study published in 2008 echoed Tetlock's results. A Swedish researcher had members of the public, journalists, and political scientists attempt to forecast the outcome of Swedish parliamentary elections. When all of the predictions were aggregated, members of the public were actually most accurate.Well, I mean, here's the thing: They're not being measured or tracked on these things, apart from these few random studies. What gets measured gets improved; what doesn't, doesn't. These flakes and phonies are allowed to make as many bad predictions and "wish-casts" as they like without ever being called to task for it. We see that now in the media, with no one in the media bothering to check any more if "reporters'" reports are actually, you know, accurate. "Reporters" who simply lie are rewarded and allowed to simply continue lying because their lies please a constituency. ... So why do political experts endure and get rewarded with outrageously high fees if they regularly offer such poor prognostications? Armstrong has a theory: The Seer-Sucker Theory. "No matter how much evidence exists that seers do not exist, suckers will pay for the existence of seers," he wrote. "One explanation is that the client is not interested in accuracy, but only in avoiding responsibility. A client who calls in the best wizard available avoids blame if the forecasts are inaccurate."I was very briefly hired in a job involving advising clients. I knew nothing about the subject matter. The two pieces of advice I was given: Make definitive statements; people aren't paying you for vague or wishy-washy bullshit, they can imagine that themselves. They already have uncertainty. They want certainty. So give it to them. And: Just say it confidently. Doesn't matter if you have no idea what you're talking about. Say it confidently. I guess those are really the same advice, in two different formats. Every media jerkoff you see on TV is just following that advice. And also: They're lying for a partisan audience. And also: They're possibly being paid to front for some client. Don't believe a word they say. The FBI's partisanship renders it unfit for purpose:
In that compilation, you see the Highly Cucked George Conway, whose wife is, I'm sure, quite sought after by eligible men, and there's not a thing that fat sack of failure can do about it except go on TV and scream "I've still got something to offer!!! Plenty of women will be knockin' on THIS door when they see me on Morning Joe!!!"

I remember the Gibson Guitar raid when it happened. I was appalled, but didn't know it was as bad as I'm now hearing. I remember Catherine Engelbrecht of True the Vote excoriating some black Democrat during hearings -- a fine moment. Obama targeted political enemies and no one did shit about it. ---------------------- The particularity clause binding warrants is simply blown away by referring to all documents Trump generated as president. Trump could go to court as Nixon did and argue illegal seizure plus damages. What is notable about Nixon's papers is that the Government eventually had to pay millions to Nixon for seizing his papers. This is an example of the shit legal work that government lawyers put into warrants. It says something for the incompetence or collusion of the magistrate judge that he would sign off on such a ridiculously overbroad search warrant. It looks like they’re proceeding under the Espionage Act so I’m not so sure about venue. But also I thought a grand jury has been convened in DC
Posted by: 7man -------------------- Allegedly but you can have multiple grand juries investigating in different jurisdictions. You have to be tried in the place where you committed the crime and ONLY the defendant can move for a change of venue--not the government. That is called vicinage and is in the Sixth Amendment because the Brits shipped colonial prisoners to Nova Scotia to be tried for admiralty crimes like smuggling. Nova Scotia was like DC in that it was basically a British Naval base and that is about it. See 6th Amendment, "In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law. . ." Trump is essentially a captive to the insuperably corrupt system now with no way out. Since the early 90s he talked about running for President and explaining why in such simple, smart, patriotic terms. He lost a chunk of his fortune in the process (the only president to end up poorer) and despite brilliant, impossibly successful service to his country has been vilified and persecuted from the moment he announced and will be to the moment he dies, and no doubt beyond. It's a crime whose vileness and cost to the country can never be forgotten. And, yes, the IRS will perform a version of this personal destruction on every conservative in America they can identify. Reading that "Property to be seized" document is dumbfounding. There is absolutely no specificity on documents: like Ace mentioned, they apparently took ALL of Trump's Presidential records.
If the Nukluar Seekretz story was real, I would have expected some specificity on describing what the FEEBs were looking for. Russell Brand can be interesting, and that short clip is a case in point. But he backs many leftist things that imo, have been the very "social WMDs" they have been using to divide and destroy us.
But hey, it's the leftists that are possibly waking up a bit that might make more inroads into the LIV that has been jerking the leftist voting lever for decades. (same with the other guy that wears the beanie, whose name escapes me at the moment) Brand has almost 6 millions following him, despite the likely throttling of his account. Any that still claim "but yes, we must do something about our CO2/"carbon" have not really seen the light, but at least they are starting to reject absolute tyranny. The warrant includes "every Presidential record created during Donald Trump's entire term," but it is not remotely limited to only those records.
The warrant also includes "any containers/boxes (including any other contents) in which such [physical documents with classification markings] are located, as well as any other containers/boxes that are collectively stored or found together with the aforementioned documents and containers/boxes." So if there is a one-page document with a classification marking-including presumably the notation that it was formerly classified but has been declassified ("classification markings")-in a large box that is "stored or found together" with dozens or hundreds of other boxes with contents that are not described in the warrant, then the box in which the declassified document is found, and all its contents, together with all of the dozens, or hundreds, of boxes stored or found with that box and their contents are all included in the warrant as written. Posted by: I Mean -------------------- Ideally, if the DOJ followed normal procedures of actually wanting to be able to introduce the evidence into court with no arguments, the target is notified and then a district court judge usually hears arguments why and why not a warrant should be quashed. Exigent circumstances require fear of evidence being moved or destroyed and that is the argument DOJ used. However, waiting three days to execute the warrant undercuts that argument somewhat. Sounds like the prosecutor is using the prima facie approach (that viewing the facts in the most favorable light for the prosecution)[
Posted by: whig Yes! She even used the term "prima facie" and explained its meaning. The issue I have is after the perfunctory presentation of affidavits etc, some of the charges are not at all compelling (others are). I have questions, but those questions will only be resolved at trial. So then in all honesty I can't say that I am convinced "more likely than not". The only way you get to "more likely than not" is if you start with a prior that "cops don't lie", "defer to authority", "prosecutors always act in good faith" etc. But then if you do that, what's the point of the grand jury? So I refuse to weigh those general factors (other than assuming the affidavits are truthful - if I don't assume that then I got nothing). But I know most people can't help but weigh those factors. Anyway, just rambling here. But it's been illuminating. Posted by: quantum mechanic at August 12, 2022 06:13 PM (g1EEm) 396

Yes!
Posted by: quantum mechanic ---------------- No, your discussion has been interesting. States vary a bit in grand jury procedures which are described in caselaw but no state's law nor constitution can override basic US Constitutional protections. 479 I am more just thinking of what has landed on my plate, particularly in the last few years. I am starting to resent my (to date) cancer survival. If God wants me to be here because He has something for me to do, it'd be nice if He dropped a hint on that or otherwise let me check out.
Yeah I'm whining, I know. Posted by: Bete at August 12, 2022 06:45 PM (LPNHu) 483
Yeah I'm whining, I know.
Posted by: Bete at August 12, 2022 06:45 PM (LPNHu) I am sorry it is stressful. I will pray for you too. God always has something for us to do. It's little things ever day mostly-not some big mission If you want you can write me at MAR1217 at sign earthlink.net. The e-mail which I used for the prayer list when I did that is all messed up. And I actually think spending too much time on here is not good. I'm not saying you do, just that it brings people down. Information overload. And no, that didn't sound like whining.

I'm sorry, Bete. It took me a few minutes to understand that you and the sock were the same person.

And Bete, Sven is trying to reach out with some job suggestion. Number 236 new thread above this.
