Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update.
Prayer Requests:
2/12 – D asked for prayers for John Rogers and his family. John was diagnosed with liver cancer last week and is at stage 3. He is not doing well and any prayers for him and his family would be appreciated. His daughters are 8, 11, and 14. 6/30 Update – John has not been able to eat and is having other issues related to the cancer. Please pray for strength and comfort for him and for his family.
7/2 Update – John passed from this life on 7/2. He was surrounded by family and is now pain free in the heavens with God. Please pray for the family and friends who were lucky enough to have him in our lives. Thank you for your prayers.
6/6 – Fox2! requests prayers for his niece-in-law, Courtney, who is expecting a son in August, but has had preterm labor for the last 3 weeks.
7/9 Update – The doctors will induce delivery on 7/13, if baby Waylon hasn’t decided to come on his own by then. Courtney is presenting warning signs of preeclampsia, so this is best for mother and baby. Please continue to include her in your prayers, and thank you.
7/15 Update – Baby Waylon arrived safely on 7/13. Mother and son are doing well, as is father and older sister.
6/7 – Fenelon Spoke asks for prayers for her son to (God willing) get a job for the summer, before he transfers (again, God willing) to finish up his four-year degree in agricultural studies.
7/3 Update – Fenelon Spoke’s son got the job!
6/20 – Nurse Ratched asks for prayers for her oldest son, who has Covid. He’s not as bad as he was initially, but is still pretty sick.
7//16 Update – Nurse Ratched’s son has recovered.
6/23 – Ann Wilson, aka Empire, asked for prayers that all would go smoothly, as one of her sisters (T) has decided it’s time for her to go into assisted living due to her rapidly declining health. Ann and her other sister (R) are considerably relieved, as they have been trying to convince T of this for quite some time.
6/24 – San Franpsycho asks for prayers for poor Mrs. F. who has been coughing and emetic for the last 36 hours, and for Boy F. who, lacking the ability to understand the situation, is distraught with worry.
7/2 Update – Mrs. F. and Boy F. have survived their isolation and are feeling very recovered from Covid. Thank you for your prayers.
6/25 – jmel needs prayers for her cousin, whose husband was one of six killed in a helicopter crash in West Virginia this past Wednesday. They could only identify him be his dental records. She is now a widow at 48 with two teenage boys, one severely autistic.
6/26 – BifBewalski could use some prayers as he and his family deal with the passing of his father.
6/29 – Please pray for mpfs and his family, as his uncle is having health issues and complications from blood clots. It is not looking good.
7/3 Update – Day 23 of Uncle G in the hospital, and now mpfs has Covid.
7/2 – Jim Sunk New Dawn asks for prayers for more drivers at work. They’ve had bad luck with recent hires, and need responsible, detail-oriented people with solid work history. Jim is located near Galveston, TX.
7/2 – Prayers are needed for L, who has had a lifetime of mental problems. The Covid shutdown dealt him a severe blow and now he almost never emerges from his room. He may be suicidal. The hope is that medications can stabilize him.
7/2 – That Guy What Always Says Yeah Buddy asks for prayers for his wife’s health and the strength and fortitude for me to continue to be able to care for her.
7/2 – My Life Is Insanity could use prayers. Her mom passed away on 7/2. My Life Is Insanity had to spend this weekend at her own house, so she couldn’t be with her mom when she passed. Her son was with there, so mom/grandma wasn’t alone, but it’s killing My Life Is Insanity that she wasn’t with her when she died. She would appreciate prayers for her mom’s soul.
7/8 – TecumsehTea asks for prayers for her dearest friend, who came down with Covid and is very ill. She is almost 70 and severely immunocompromised. She did not vax and has made it thus far, but she traveled recently. She is taking ivermectin. The Lord holds her in His hand, and He’s in charge, but it doesn’t hurt to ask Him for healing.
7/19 Update – The friend is slowly improving with ivermectin. Her lungs remain clear, but she is still weak, in pain, and has headaches and fatigue and nausea. Even the meds for nausea made her gag and vomit! Thank you for your prayers.
7/9 – Prayers are needed for Lilibeth, who has had 2 recent surgeries for bladder cancer, but has not been able to start immunotherapy treatments due to a shortage of necessary drugs.
7/9 – Bear with asymmetrical balls asks for prayers. His bloodwork is showing reduced kidney function, and he’s feeling less than well. He is slowly working the problem with the doctor.
7/12 – My Pimp Shot My Dealer asked for prayers for T and her family. T is a 19 year old who hung herself, but it was not a clean kill, and she is in the ICU with the gravest of anoxic brain injuries. They are trying a salvage resuscitation to see if she will be eligible for organ donation. She was a very sweet young lady, another victim of pedo rape at a very young age, and lived the rest of her short life broken.

7/15 – Chi-Town Jerry requests prayers for his wife, who is in the hospital again with AFIB. Although she got back to regular rhythm in the ER, her kidney numbers concerned them and they are keeping her overnight on IV. Prayers are appreciated.
7/16 – ellipse (… asked for prayers for a work friend (of 18 years) and fantastic young lady named Lauren, who has been sick and away from work for 3 months.
7/19 Update - Lauren has Bell’s Palsy. She still needs prayers. … sends her appreciation for those who have already prayed, or even just sent vibes if that’s your thing.
7/18 – Diogenes asks for prayers for his godson, who just lost his 13-year-old son to a seizure/stroke. The boy had autism and began suffering from a series of strokes over the last few weeks.
7/18 – jewells45 could use some prayers, as she has been sick. Her daughter is in pain and struggling, too, after injuring her leg.
7/18 – Emmie asked for prayers for God’s guidance and His will do be done regarding the sale of their house.
7/19 – Fenelon Spoke asked for prayers as she attended the local Board of Education meeting, about the grooming of kids, transgenders, etc. The BOE is paying a group of LGBT teens to tell their stories, and the teacher’s union has had a drag queen show. Please pray for protection for the moms and dads defending their kids.

5 Back from shaving; I have a few minutes before I have to dash off for the haircut. Fen, you had mentioned that your son had the option originally of working at a retirement home -- indoors, in the A/C? Is it still open? Because if his current boss is going to be, shall we say, annoying, your son could simply drop that hoe one fine day and walk into a more comfortable job.

At 17 or whatever age your son is, if I'd been forced to take a job and been offered "hot farm work" vs. "indoors," I know which I'd have taken. And it would have taken me no time at all to make that choice.

I don't know. The only "indoor work" I ever had was while I was in the military for four years. Every other job after that was outdoor work. Except for the six months I worked as a waiter at a pizza restaurant. But I also had a day job doing landscaping at the time.

I mentioned that I still had hopes for bringing her predecessor (who is now at HQ) into the Catholic Church (he is a Lutheran) and she was quite amused.

I said I'd also be willing to help her, but that such a change would have a prohibitive impact on her choice of career.

21 Seeing commenters earlier mentiioning Richard Levine in conjunction with the debasement of the military, let me add a little perspective for folks:

When Richard Levine was appointed as Assistant Sec'y of HHS, he became the titular (heh!) leader of the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. The Commissioned Corps is the little known seventh Uniformed Service (along with Army, Navy, AF, USMC, USCG and Space Force). It consists almost entirely of medical personnel, and operates under the auspices of the Surgeon General and Dept. of HHS, not the DoD. The Corps has uniforms, ranks and pay grades that mirror the military, but nobody really considers them a branch of the military. Levine, was therefore awarded an (essentially) honorary rank of Admiral, and now wears the uniform. Levine has had virtually no military training beyond perhaps a superficial familiarization briefing.

Possibly the biggest impact of the rank of Admiral and the uniform is that Levine now wears his hair pulled back, emphasizing his mannish facial features, as well as not wearing his trademark large pearl/bead necklaces. (cont.)

I worked outdoors in savage heat for 8 + years, driving an un-aired van for the Purolator people. We didn't work as hard as UPS drivers and we didn't have the volume of packages of Fed Ex -- this was 1978 through 1987. But we didn't get paid like them, and we finished every shift soaked in sweat. People who tell me how much they love summer have never worked outdoors in it. Worked, not playing in the garden or something fun. A week of outdoor work, and they'd sell their little shriveled raisin souls to get back in the A/C.

An early summer job I had was in a factory with A/C - but with all the machinery the heat was still unbearable. Someone showed me how to fold a paper towel, wet it, then put it behind my neck. It did provide some relief. 'Hot under the collar' is a real thing.

He has a good chance of getting it overturned at a lower Appeals Court level. To be successful, the appellant generally has to show that the Judge made one or more Errors of Law while conducting the trial, and I believe this judge made several. (Example: his ruling that Congress has the power to decide whether a claim of Executive Privilege is valid or not. No, that power resides in the Judiciary.)

I'm sure everyone here would love to hear my unscientific opinion (lol) so here goes:

The immune response generated by the "vaccines" is worthless, since it teaches your body to produce antibodies to just one component of the virus from 2019 that has long ago mutated and isn't even circulating any more.

A very weird thing is that within weeks, a jabbed person achieves negative efficacy -- more likely than unjabbed to get infected.

77 Immediately after vaccination there are high levels of antibodies. These levels decrease rapidly. The spike antibodies were ok against the original spike, but just kinda ok against the current one. That means, to get adequate protection, you need a crap ton of antibodies. The levels wane enough to make the vaccine ineffective within a few weeks. Early after the booster, it is just effective enough to prevent you from even getting a subclinical infection which would cause you to produce other antibodies. So when the booster wears off, you are more vulnerable, and more likely to get a symptomatic, clinical infection.

I have a niece who is getting married in autumn next year who has decided the event will be held in the next town over but one from East Bumfook in Lower Michigan. Unless she and her intended are paying for the whole thing, I cannot fathom why her father, my sibling, agreed to the location. The place is damn near impossible to get to if you live outside the area, as well as expensive to do so. Family or not, right now our household is strongly leaning toward "have fun without us".

If you are referring to cross-immunity, that is a thing.

Infection with "virus A" stimulates immune system to produce antibodies and memory B-cell lymphocytes. I watched a four episode documentary entitled Bad Vegan about a couple who cheated their employees at a high end raw vegan restaurant out of millions of dollars. I feel like a lot of this could be corrected if we just put an end to the political rhetoric.

They should get representatives from all over the country to sit down and write out a list of rights that people have, define the powers that government has, and then subdivide the country into geographic regions where the things that neither the overall bigger government or the individual person controls and let them be decided at a local level so that people could pick and choose in which reason they want to live.

We got water hooked up by tapping the hose bib off our neighbor's well head. Many thanks to him for letting us do so. We have filled up the fresh-water tank in the RV and have water for the kennel dogs. Electrician and plumber are set to come out this morning to survey what needs doing.

When I was serving at the Deepwater Horizon oil spill operation, I met an officer in USPHS and did a profile about him and the service's role. Interesting stuff.

They were the only ones still wearing BDUs, apparently because they never wore them out and the supply was endless. He really stood out amongst the Coasties (by then the Army and Air Force had switched patterns as well).

Of course, the profile never got approved because the whole thing was a shitshow.

Though compared to what's going on today, it was a model of smooth execution.

(After Alex Berenson famously tweeted that these mRna shots are not vaccines, the CDC changed the definition it had used since the agency's inception)

the mRna shots are a novelty and untested in the traditional, vaccinological best practices sense.
Their action is dramatically different than traditional vaccines that have been developed since the first one centuries ago.

The thymus is involved with early immunity and atrophies as the cattle (and any mammal) ages. I suppose that is why they also use the spleen.

I was following the Freedom Convoy events, and Pastor Arthur's persecution escalated right around the time of the Ottawa protests. He was jailed and put in isolation, far away from the spot where he could hear his supporters protesting. Then his brother was also jailed.

I hope that the J6 protestors eventually are vindicated the way Pastor Arthur was.

The Appeals judge ordered them to be refunded all their fines but they'd have to sue the separate governments for any "pain and suffering" compensation. I assume their legal fees would be refunded too although I don't know for sure -- they might have to sue for that too although I think most of their legal work was done through the civil rights group mentioned in the thread.

On the standard vaxxes, I do not believe so, there were a couple of trials for Dengue actually did something similar, however Dengue is nasty because the first infection is generally like a mild flu, but it primes your immune system to go insane at the second infection and can kill you.
The Dengue vaccine trial actually made subsequent infections worse and had side effects also. I don't know if it was an mRNA vaccine. The trial was in the Philippines and there is a claim it killed a lot of kids
