Liz Cheney is trailing by twenty two points in her primary contest against [It Doesn't Matter].

Former President Donald Trump's pick to unseat Rep. Liz Cheney in the race for Wyoming's lone House seat holds a commanding 22-point lead with a month until the primary, a new Casper Star-Tribune poll shows.

Natural resources attorney Harriet Hageman leads Cheney 52% to 30%, the poll shows. No other challenger received more than 5% support. Only 11% of voters were undecided.

The poll, conducted for the Star-Tribune by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy, surveyed 1,100 registered Wyoming voters likely to participate in the primary, resulting in a margin of error of plus or minus 3%, according to Brad Coker, Mason-Dixon managing director.

Note that they did not poll "registered Republicans," but "registered voters likely to participate in the primary." Liz Cheney is courting Democrats to vote for her, and many will. However, this poll indicates that she's still far behind, even with Cheney's Democrat allies' support.

New analysis: the covid vaccine affects menstruation.

A new analysis of reports from more than 35,000 people offers the most comprehensive assessment so far of menstrual changes experienced by pre- and post-menopausal individuals in the first two weeks after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Published in the journal Science Advances, the study adds to the evidence that significant numbers of people experience this unexpected side effect.

"Menstruating and formerly menstruating people began sharing that they experienced unexpected bleeding after being administered a COVID-19 vaccine in early 2021," the scientists who led the study wrote. Because vaccine trials typically do not ask about menstrual cycles or bleeding, this side effect was largely ignored or dismissed.

Doctors who weighed in on the subject after hearing early reports about post-vaccination menstrual changes were often dismissive of patients' concerns, said Kathryn Clancy, a professor of anthropology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign who led the research with Katharine Lee, an anthropology professor at Tulane University. Some clinicians said it was unclear how a vaccine could trigger such changes.

It might not be as alarming as it initially sounds. Other vaccines have also triggered these side effects, due to triggering the immune system:

However, other vaccines--including those for typhoid, Hepatitis B and HPV--are sometimes associated with changes in menstruation, Clancy said. These side effects are believed to be tied to an uptick in immune-related inflammatory pathways and are less likely to be driven by hormonal changes.

Fauci to retire by the end of Biden's term.

He plans to spend more time with his synthetic Chinese gain-of-function viruses.

Which he funded, and then lied to Congress about funding.

Instapundit linked to this old article, from October 2021, in which the NIH admitted that Fauci's henchman at EcoHealth, Peter Daszak, had funded gain-of-function research on, get this, bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan lab.

A top NIH official admitted in a Wednesday letter that U.S. taxpayers funded gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses in Wuhan and revealed that EcoHealth Alliance, the U.S. non-profit that funneled NIH money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, was not transparent about the work it was doing.

In the letter to Representative James Comer (R., Ky.), Lawrence A. Tabak of the NIH cites a "limited experiment" that was conducted to test if "spike proteins from naturally occurring bat coronaviruses circulating in China were capable of binding to the human ACE2 receptor in a mouse model." The laboratory mice infected with the modified bat virus "became sicker" than those infected with the unmodified bat virus.

The revelation vindicates Republican senator Rand Paul, who got into heated exchanges with National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease director Anthony Fauci during his May and July testimonials before Congress over the gain-of-function question. At the second hearing, Paul accused Fauci of misleading Congress by denying that the U.S. had funded gain-of-function projects at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Remember, Anthony Fauci had always opposed Obama's ban on gain-of-function funding and had stealth-edited the ban to actually allow it, slipping in the edit during the transition from Obama to Trump when there was confusion and high turnover between the administrations.

I had forgotten that the NIH admitted this. Fauci's told so many lies I just didn't remember this one. Did you?

Why is he not being prosecuted for perjury or obstruction of a Congressional investigation?

Kamala Harris is campaigning to end the filibuster.

Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday said she and President Biden "will not let the filibuster stand in our way" on protecting abortion access and voting rights, while urging voters to cast ballots in November's midterm elections to protect "our most essential rights and freedoms."

Harris, speaking at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) convention in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Monday, said leaders of the organization have "fought hard to move our nation forward."

"And yet we must recognize that there are those who are fighting to drag us backward," Harris said. "Extremist so-called leaders who are fighting to drag us backward. Extremist so-called leaders who are attempting to undermine our democracy and assault our most fundamental freedoms."

The freedoms Harris listed included "the freedom to be safe from gun violence, the freedom to make decisions about our own bodies and the freedom to vote."

And the freedom to expand the membership of the Supreme Court to 21 and pack it with leftwingers, she didn't say.

Biden, of course, reversed his longstanding position and declared he supported the far left's campaign to end the filibuster (to codify Roe, outlaw guns, and pack the court) after the Dobbs decision. Because he was bleeding support from the far left.

And because everything Biden has done has been done to keep his support from "The Squad" wing of the party.

Remember when NeverTrump promised us Biden would govern from the center and would represent a moderate, stabilizing force?

Has a single one of these smug cunt narcissists confessed a dollop of error yet?

Speaking of Kumala: She tossed another salad. Of words.

She sounds like Wanda Sykes with an aneurysm.

I might not be precise in my prognostication, but I do think we'll see them try something along these lines, especially as the un-jabbed likely weigh heavily Right on the political scale.

America in one picture. Upside down conversation on talk radio this mornin...local talk radio station. She and the host lament the continued wearing of masks. See in their world wearing a mask is a political statement by the left. Not the other way around for non mask wearers. Have you ever heard the saying ‘Better safe than sorry’?

It was the Black Preborn Lives Matter sticker that really got me. It comes across as, like others, caring about blacks and fetuses when they’re in the womb, not caring at all what happens when they’re actually born.

I'll bet that the young woman on the right changes her tune when contraceptives are outlawed, and after the birth of her eighth child when her husband runs off with a younger model and she has no education/job skills to support herself and said children. Some people are really stupid until life's realities hits them in the face.

The poll numbers of people who think the country is on the wrong track are pretty stark. What's really surprising is how many Democrats and minorities are saying this. These are historically bad number.

Given the number of minorities that are now moving to the Republican column I think it's past time to keep looking at elections as if this was a decade ago. The Democrats have done serious damage to their brand particularly after 4 years of Trump peace and prosperity. Voters aren't listening to the media bullshit any longer, reality is telling a completely different story.

--------------
So its understood, (kkf dot org): In part, many years ago, the Hyde Amendment language was incorporated into other federal programs that provide or pay for health services for women such as military’s TRICARE program, federal prisons, Peace Corps, and the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) also has a provision that applied similar abortion coverage limitations to plans that are sold through the marketplace for women who receive federal income-based subsidies to purchase private health insurance.

Ergo, the Vice President, Congress, the federal workforce don't have broad abortion "benefits" in their healthcare programs if those policies or programs are subsidized by the government. In fact, some years ago, all women in federal service were told it wasn't taxpayers responsibility to pay for birth control methods.

253 Eric Metaxas (I think) interviewed Naomi Wolf a while ago about the effect of the vaccines on women's cycles. It is very worrisome and should not be dismissed. The Hasidic (?) Jews in NYC keep track of their women's menstrual cycles and noticed the disruptions when they started taking the vaccines.

I was chatting with a woman a couple of days ago on vacation, and she said a young lady she knows had a miscarriage soon after taking the vaccine. I've heard similar accounts too.

There was one Twitter thread some months ago where women talked about all the changes to their menstrual cycles, including post menopausal women who started bleeding again. One could call that anecdotal, but it was a whole lot of women.

Unsurprisingly, some outfits get a bit much (or perhaps "less" is a better turn of phrase). One year when I attended Anime Expo, there were a number of Mai Shiranai cosplayers. A friend of mine mentioned that one of them - in a costume resembling a mid-thigh robe with no sides (a cloth belt held the front and back in place), and a plunging neckline - started playing Dance Dance Revolution and fell out of her costume.

Ah yes the classic 'accidental' wardrobe malfunction.

No one cosplays Mai-chan without realizing that is always possible.

IIRC, easily the skimpiest of the Mai costumes I saw that year.

IIRC, also the least attractive Mai cosplayer that year by a margin. My recollection is that my friend's attitude toward the incident was disinterest toward the cosplayer in question.

345 When it came to COVID as a father of young children I didn't have luxury of being wrong either direction. When it came to research I started ignoring every write up after 2019. I looked at CDC directions for pregnant women and other vaccines. About 2/3 of other vaccines are not allowed for pregnant women. Pregnant women aren't even allowed to do things like handle Tylenol and the current trend is to avoid lunch meat. So their insane absolutely safe for pregnant women range hollow. Especially considering the early reports about menstruation changes.
After alot of searching and reading I ended up back about where I began.

1. Pregnant women should avoid vaccine until after birth.
2. If I was older and fatter I would risk vaccine.
3. If I was younger and healthy I would risk the virus.
