"[The officer's] instruction to me was the phone call was quite damning to her. The facts are that admissions were made that were captured on telephone intercept and it is a quite serious matter." ... Daisley's Instagram account has been deleted, but a screenshot of a recent post, obtained by news.com.au, features a caption penned by the heiress revealing she was 223 days sober. The post also reveals that she had "walked away from her partner of 8 years."Probably couldn't "go" four times a day by 5pm.
Daisley is a trained naturopath who founded the business Smart Cleanse, which offers various 14-day detox plans. The company website reads: "Over a number of years, Savannah has helped tens of thousands of people detoxify their bodies, lose weight, heal their digestion, improve strength and fitness, eliminate stress, reverse the aging process, overcome various adverse health conditions through the benefits of detoxification, and is passionate about doing so."I wonder if that cleanse helped increase this kid's performance. Yup, that's been my assessment for a while now, too. I guess there are scenarios where it could happen - he's the groundskeeper's kid and they know each other because they're in the same spaces a lot or something like that - but it doesn't seem hugely likely.

From previous thread but its useful to bring up, because...
Some stews -- "flight attendants" -- can be pretty bad about just blowing off work on a day when they partied too hard or just aren't "feeling it" that day. They aren't great about calling it in until the next morning either.
Planes cannot take off without their proper compliment of stews on board, so a lot of the delays are them scrambling to find someone to fill in.
And the unions are powerful, make it very hard to fire someone for blowing off work like that. So next time you're sitting on a delayed plane, thank the union.

I have a full set of Klipsch RP series in my home theater system (6000F up front, 600 in the rear, a smaller center channel) and they are incredibly good. They have no business sounding as good as they do for the price. I have no experience with the 800/8000 series, but if the 600/6000 series is any indication, they're going to be winners.

The modern "audiophile" market is a joke in my opinion. If you want a damn good stereo, you can do it for around $3k. If you want a damn good surround system, you can do it for around $5k. That's real money, but if that's what you're in to then you can do it.
But middle class HiFi is almost dead as a market segment and the prices leap tremendously from there. There is lots of crap, lots of mediocre, a bit of pretty good and a small amount of excellent at affordable prices. But after about $2k per speaker or thereabouts, the prices start surging up to truly laughable levels, and then the components are even worse. It seems to me that the "audiophile" market nowadays is more about spending money than anything else. Veblen goods.

It depends. The lossless albums on Apple Music are as good as actually having the CD there, plus or minus how good the DAC you're running it through is. Compressed stuff varies. I generally consider 192kbps the lower limit for listenable MP3s.

One of the big problems with early CDs is that they were just digitized and burned on a disc before being sold. But they had originally been mixed for analog, LPs, cassettes etc. Also, some music is mixed primarily to be used with a good audiophile stereo, other music is mixed for a stock car stereo.
MP3s are much the same, plus you have the problems of the bitrate for different files. 192 kbps generally sounds like shit on anything but earbuds out of your phone, while 320 kbps is much more suited to a wider range of equipment, but with a larger file size.

I don't really remember him. I was stationed with the Navy at RTC Great lakes about 45 minutes south of there. There were about 20-30 guys in that wargames club. We played on the weekends at a store close by the University. Once everyone found out he was in the club and going around killing and eating people the club pretty much disbanded from what I remember.

Yeah those early AAD recordings, particularly classical, were not of the finest quality. But for most people, good enough to enjoy.
