Every dog's ambition.

Dogs want to be involved with whatever you're doing.

Fart human pachinko machine. Here's the set-up to all floating man street performer acts.

Leopard crossing. Until Junior decides he'd rather just lay down in the road.

Papa gorilla stops traffic so that family can cross street.

Strange bird.

This bird is the undisputed queen of the disco.

Cat tries, and fails, to bully chickens.

"Come out to the coast, we'll have a few laughs..."

A simple trick allows an "impossible" camera shot.

Pool table on a cruise ship -- with a gyroscopic automatic leveling system to offset the movement of the ship.

"The Naturalists."

Government union workers turn shoveling into a two-man job, somehow.

A flood to compete with the one in the Bible.

I don't care what anyone says, parkour is still cool:

Everything is okay after the chicken and the dog resolve the "food or not food?" argument:

Don Rickles told the truth:

If you want to see something in the sky pretty, there's a relatively rare (once every 20 years or) alignment of the planets going on just before sunrise. Depending on location, you can see Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn all line up like ducks in a row, in order, across the ecliptic.

A while back, Jupiter and Mars were very close and I just happened to see that at peak conjunction.

Unfortunately, the way the trees are I can't see Mercury at all, and by the time Venus gets high enough to see, it's too light to see Saturn any more.

You probably also know George W is the last Republican to win NH in 2000. He then lost it to Lurch in 2004.

Obama smoked McCain in 2008 by nearly double digits.

Obama even beat Romney in 2012 and Romney lived there.

Even that fat, drunk felon sqeaked by Trump in 2016 and Joe easily beat Trump in 2020.

It's not a bellwether Republican state. It's not even a Republican state anymore. It's very squishy. Southern NH is loaded with Democrats who got tired of paying the taxes Democrats pushed in MA.

Let me tell you about ladders. I was on one yesterday roughly 20 feet above the attic floor of a courthouse in northern Vermont. About 12" of blown in loose cellulose insulation over the entire attic floor. I reach into my pocket to pull out my camera and the wrist strap snags my car keys and they promptly fall out and down and embed themselves somewhere into this foot thick layer of insulation that is basically cat litter. So, I'm cruising across the plaza one day at a small boy's college in Colorado, and they've been working on redoing this section of the plaza for a while now (they expanded a bunch of facilities below it). They're down to a handful of jobs left.

One of those jobs evidently entails making two piles of gravel into one. There's a pile of older dirty gravel in one pile, about 2 1/2-3 foot high. And there's another pile right beside it, about 2 feet away (edge to edge).

And one guy has a job of moving the old gravel into the pile of new gravel. One guy and a shovel. Pretty easy, if tedious job, right?

Trump really blew the election aftermath (whether he got played and back stabbed or not, he at best didn't see it coming) and since then he has mostly laid low except for backing some questionable candidates. DeSantis has said and done some red meat stuff and at least we haven't SEEN him get outplayed. I honestly don't know if either of them are truly not part of the scam..but I am beginning to feel that way about every single person that has never had any connection to the system.

262 Back in the 80's and early 90's when joints like Olive Garden, TGI Friday's, Outback, etc. started to appear they were considered "good" as opposed to something like Howard Johnsons or McDonalds.

Sometime within the last 5 or 6 years we hit an Applebee's near work for lunch. The staff collectively had an IQ approaching 50 and the food was barely dumpster quality.

I don't know if it's the quality of the employees and/or the quality of the food prep, but it's gone into the sewer bigly. In fact, here in our neck of the wood you can bet any of those "casual dining" joints will open, then close within 3 years due to poor quality.

Personally, I think the mob is in on it. It fits with their MO regarding the restaurant business. Make a ton of money then burn it down to hide the graft.

282 >>That tells me that NH is a a lost cause in the near-term. If your big vacillation is between W and Ketchup-Boy, your state ain't voting for ANYONE who values liberty any time soon. Enjoy your commie overlords.

It's too bad because NH used to be a very conservative state. But it really is true that decades of Massachusetts liberals fleeing the mess they made in their home state for the low tax state of NH has taken it's toll.

Boston and the northern cities of MA are an easy commute to NH and there are more jobs in MA. You will see a large number of NH plates at businesses all over northern MA. Those of you who live in conservative states that border Democrat ones know what I mean.

In NH, the Democrats have basically taken over and the only Republicans who do well there now are middle of the road squishes at best. Trying to predict what that means in the larger electorate is a fools errand but a fire breathing conservative is not going to do well even in a Republican primary.

375 OK I love the balloon challenge. Wonder if I could set that up at a MoMe....

Of course you know, it'd have to be condoms, not balloons.

Glad to hear the Rat is taking a beating over their new groomer movie.

Maybe they can have some of their ugly-ass diesel dyke execs come up to the C-suite and beat the fuck out of the entire board and then force them to empty their wallets at knifepoint. That should really make those moneygrubbing cucks feel at home. They seem to really love that kinda thing.

378 Helstar also did a really good cover of Heavy Metal Thunder, that old iconic Saxon song. Pretty kick ass.

382 @343

>>OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO GET FIRED?!?!?!?

My company had a "Town Hall" in which they announced they are siloing their divisions and culling their verticals.

Which means massive layoffs are coming in 6 - 12 months.

Good thing I'm in a position to retire early if I wanted to.

Probably open a Falafal cart.

384 Arthur Treachers is still around, they have 2 left in Ohio

Ground Round is a good case of when Franchise owners getting together and fighting Corporate greed, Ground Round filed for bankruptcy and was going to be sold to X Company and the Franchise's put in an offer, it was rejected so they said go screw we aren't going with X company we want to run ourselves, and the X company had to drop their offer because they would have had Zero restaurants and they now run a collective.

385 I am blessed to live in Texas, where restaurant wait staff are generally very polite and well mannered. This was especially true when I moved here almost **** years ago, but still is for the most part.
Compare and contrast to Washington, D.C., Boston, and Chicago. More vile, ill-mannered assholes exist nowhere else in the entire known universe, or in any other parallel universe.
