The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

“The majority of people will wear out, because it can be relentless. But I’m very passionate about it. I’m there to entertain and make sure the hen has the best two hours of her life.” Thomas Crowe

Quote II

"Republicans need to do a lot of soul-searching as to what is the right thing here and what is the right thing for our democracy in the future, and not simply adhere to the basic instincts of some of our base." Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R-AR)

Whatever Gov......

Quote III

When you let yourself think, "Gosh, maybe this androgenous fatty screaming that I am a privileged tool of the patriarchy has a point because s/he/it would never lie to my face," you let them win. Kurt Schlichter

Retirement? What retirement plans?

The stock market has lost all the gains it made since President Joe Biden was sworn into office, according to recent data reported by Fortune on Monday.

The S&P 500 took a sharp downturn, closing on Monday 151 points below where it was in January of 2021. The other two major indexes, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and Nasdaq Composite fell by 876 points and 530 points respectively, both below where they were when Biden took office.

Cryptocurrency has also taken a hit. Bitcoin lost 15% of its value, and Ethereum lost 16%, according to Fortune.

Hmmm. I thought if I raised children to be good upright citizens that would be enough of a thrill at age 50. Obviously I was on the wrong track.

'Like being stuck in a wheelie bin, on a rollercoaster for 90 days': Daredevil will attempt to break record by sailing 1,900 miles across the Atlantic in boat that is just 3ft3in long and has top speed of 2.5mph
Andrew Bedwell, 48, from Lancashire, hopes to break a world sailing record
He has crafted a tiny 3ft3in boat, which he will sail from Canada to Cornwall
Andrew is comparing his journey to being 'stuck in a wheelie bin' for 90 days

He said: 'I always like to have a real challenge on the go - although my wife quite often feels I'm crackers - but I said before I'm 50 I want to have done something amazing.

Can your physician or his assistant answer this question the next time they attempt to foist the Kung Flu prick into you? What is Graphene Oxide? I bet Justin Bieber and his wife would like to know.

What's Graphene Oxide?
Is a toxic material hiding inside the COVID vaccines causing blood clots?

As more and more people around the world share their stories of COVID vaccine injuries, the inevitable question becomes: what’s really in the experimental shots? This is not an academic question. In fact, it’s going to be the single most important question in medicine and public health policy for the next 50 years because we’ve just forced billions of people into a medical experiment.

People are beginning to acknowledge these COVID vaccine side effects (despite the gaslighting of the medical community and the federal government) and even celebrities are admitting to these issues. For example, Justin Bieber now has facial paralysis — and his wife recently survived a massive blood clot in her brain that led to a stroke. Neither of them has said that the COVID vaccines are responsible — but who are we kidding anymore? Are those typical medical issues for a couple in their 20s?

When I hear the term "Chicken Nugget" I think of a piece of breast meat breaded and deep fried. This "Chicken Nugget" is more like chicken meatloaf.

June 13 (UPI) -- A TikTok cooking duo broke their second Guinness World Record by creating the world's largest chicken nugget, which weighed in at 46 pounds and 3.34 ounces.

Nick DiGiovanni Lynn "Lynja" Davis previously broke a Guinness World Record in November 2021, when they created the world's largest cake pop.

There is no thing such as Center Left Think Tank. It's Leftist. Period.

Our democracy hangs by a thread. We are Democrats — five former members of Congress and two recent House candidates — who are uniting to help save it. Our plan is to counter the torrent of lies that helped cost us our elections in 2020. We know these attacks are coming again, and they endanger the republic.

Just eight votes separate the parties in the U.S. House of Representatives. With a shift in a handful of the 435 House districts, the speaker’s gavel would fall to Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif. This is a man who, hours after the U.S. Capitol was attacked by a violent mob seeking to overturn the results of a free and fair election, joined two-thirds of House Republicans in supporting the biggest lie of all. That Jan. 6 House vote to reject President Joe Biden's wins in Arizona and Pennsylvania reminds us that some will sacrifice anything — truth, honor and even the most sacred tenets of our democracy — to grasp at power.

Older story but still relevant to the upcoming November elections. Will the Stupid Party fight fire with fire?

It looks like the Mary Cloggenstein's cousins in Maine are about to have their wildest dreams come true. Portland, Maine will see an increase in property taxes.

Portland, Maine to raise property taxes to pay for free housing for 'asylum-seekers'

Illegal aliens are known to cost U.S. citizens billions to support, but rarely is that experienced as directly as it is now in Portland, Maine, where city officials voted to raise property taxes in order to house 1,200 "asylum-seekers," along with 500 homeless.

I hope it hurts.

The next time someone brings up the subject of electric vehicles. Ask them why do they believe in immoral vehicles.

S IT IMMORAL TO DRIVE AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE?
Of all the crazy policies we see implemented around us, from decriminalizing theft to teaching children to change their “gender,” perhaps the craziest is government’s determination to force us to drive electric vehicles. EVs like the Tesla are perfectly fine cars, or would be if they weren’t subsidized or mandated. But they are terrible for the environment, and the conditions under which their materials are mined raise serious ethical questions.

Ronald Stein makes excellent points in his column titled “Is it ethical to purchase a lithium battery powered EV?”

The lower image is just one lithium supply mine where entire mountains are eliminated. Each mine usually consists of thirty-five to forty humongous 797 Caterpillar haul trucks along with hundreds of other large equipment. Each 797 uses around half a million gallons of diesel a year. So, with an inventory of just thirty-five the haul trucks alone are using 17.5 million gallons of fuel a year for just one lithium site.
***
Today, a typical EV battery weighs one thousand pounds. It contains twenty-five pounds of lithium, sixty pounds of nickel, 44 pounds of manganese, 30 pounds cobalt, 200 pounds of copper, and 400 pounds of aluminium, steel, and plastic. Inside are over 6,000 individual lithium-ion cells.

It should concern you that all those toxic components come from mining. For instance, to manufacture each EV auto battery, you must process 25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium, 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt, 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, and 25,000 pounds of ore for copper. All told, you dig up 500,000 pounds of the earth’s crust for just one battery.

89 IS IT IMMORAL TO DRIVE AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE?

Be careful - truly woke people hate EVs too, because it is not combustion vehicles they hate, it's the entire idea of personal mobility, along with the idea of single-family houses. It's much easier to make people into serfs if you control their transport and housing, you see.

Here's an example on Twitter today: been thinking about this a lot lately. motordom and exurban sprawl are deeply, deeply antisocial.

humans are a social species and it's bonkers how much healthier and happier we can be if we build neighborhoods that allow us to live in proximity to each other, in community

This is not a guy who's spent a lot of time living in an apartment having to share common walls with strangers.

It's weird - I know my neighbors a lot better in my suburban subdivision than I ever did when I was living in a congested neighborhood in Portland.

240 Listening to Jordan Peterson ... from May 12, 2022 ... "it;s only going to get worse, we need to stop them" ...

He has a lot of assumptions, accepted as fact. He preaches how "wood is the worst, coal is bad, but if people (I think he is talking of the billion in India) get power, they will get smarter, and have fewer children.

He dears and believes 9 billion is the planet max out point ... anyway, just amazes me that they (our betters) accept this data ... and make grandiose claims about how we proles must therefore live.

We keep subsidizing the stupid people, while the smart people have fewer children. But they are working on our educational system making our kids stupid, and GayProud, and "smart" enough to have no children.

oh well ... we shall see. I prefer to believe in a higher power with a plan of action for the future (third world?) paradise, for those that fought the good life in this second heaven and earth.

Gorgeous here, as always (the area, not me), but the leftardism reeks off the rainbow haired denizens like patchouli oil from a broiler. They surely believe every word of the bated MSM breath from their Tele-Screens, and vote accordingly.

An odd start to the day. Stopped in at my Galveston bank's drive through ATM to fluff the pocket a bit more before my travels. Buttoned up, locked car, situational awareness. Which came in handy when a 6'2"ish, muscled late 30ish Urban Yoot tried to approach my car from the left rear quarter, after I'd started the ATM sequence. A drawn SIG, and .mil-grade barked commands held him about 35 ft. away as I completed the ATM drill. Then, window up and drove 200 yds off to under light in Target parking lot. 911 to report the incident, and off I rolled to the airport. Heads on a swivel, people. Heads on a swivel. Always.

322 A number of locations in inner Portland were shut down last night by "sideshows" (cars doing donuts), including one of the bridges.
The understaffed police were slow to respond, and the Left is furious that the Police didn't Do Something about it. A clue on why the police might have been hesitant to shut things down might be gleaned from the names of the seven people they eventually arrested:
Cristobal Ramos
Tavian Alika Jordan-Layacan
Anthony Tyrone Davis
Chase Thomas Hickman Davis
Nimer Maher Lamer
Miguel Angel Garnica Garcia
Sidney Mikel Robertson
Now the Left can denounce the cops for being racist.
The local paper put out an initial story listing the names of the arrestees, and then put out a revised story with the names of the arrestees omitted. I wonder why they made that change.

I just looked up some info and schematics on that Tesla heat pump heating system. Very complex system, too much candy for a nickel, you ask me. Something for a very expensive and non-regular guy thing, like an aircraft or spacecraft level.

Teslas (and most EVs) have a radiator with coolant. Electric motor pumps to circulate coolant. This is needed to cool those batteries down, as well as the drive motors. Coolant circulates through all that and heat is dumped out the radiator.

And that system has to come on with charging those things, too, especially at the ridiculous "supercharging" currents they try to pump through.

This output is used primarily to source the heat input for the heat pump.

There is also an air source mode for the heat pump, say there isn't enough heat in the system yet. The thing will act as water sourced heat pump. Here the radiator will be absorbing heat from the outside air, not dumping heat into it.

Get this. In very cold conditions, you've got to 'precondition" the Tesla before you drive it. This is a fancy term for "warm up". You put in some mode where it spins something up, discharging the battery for a bit to generate heat.

We hear plenty of reasons for the perfect storm that imploded California. One-party, progressive government, of course. Decades of unchecked illegal immigration, without doubt. Years of mass flight out of state of the productive middle classes, certainly.

But perhaps the most important, but overlooked, reason has been the infusion of trillions of dollars of mostly tech capital into the state. Unimaginable sums of market capital warped politics and led to a top-down, feudal society, run by progressive elites who are shielded from the ramifications of their own toxic ideologies.

The Pope says, "Jesus visits you frequently? He has been here only once."

I'll let someone else speak to Oz.

Katie Britt was Chief of Staff to retiring Senator Richard Shelby, then president of the Alabama Business Council, which is the Chamber of Commerce's AL franchise.

Her financial support comes from PACS outside the state for the most part. Shelby donated $4M from his remaining campaign funds. Mitch McConnell has been a huge supporter through various PACS. She's connected to a number of neverTrumpers, including both Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander from TN.

I'm not saying Britt will be an utter disaster as a senator. I think she'll be somewhere between a Richard Shelby and a Bob Corker ideologically. In other words, an establishment Republican--just the sort Trump claims he's opposed to.

Something never talked about is the penalty innocent people must pay for some wealthy person to charge their EV.

As Texans witnessed in February of 2021, the Law of Supply and Demand can be painful when Demand greatly exceeded supply and the price of energy jumped by a couple orders of magnitude.

As California, Texas and other failed states will soon realize that when enough people plug-in their EVs to charge it will raise rates for everyone. If you were paying 15¢/kWh now you will pay 18¢ or more because more expensive power generation must be added to charge up EVs.

It seems their only Goal, was to send up a criminal referral to the DOJ against Trump. Which means they were investigating a LEGAL issue, NOT a Legislative issue.... as otherwise it would have been an impeachment inquiry.

Congress does not DO Legal investigations. They only have subpoena power in two cases... a Legislative issue, OR an impeachment... and this was, by their own admission neither.... ergo... every person given a subpoena, now has grounds to SUE as they were illegal, and thus an abrogation of their Constitutional Rights... and there IS a Federal Law about 'taking away Constitutional Rights under cover of Law'... and its a FELONY.

My son, Big, lives in Alberta. He's 28 YO and hasn't just drunk the Kool-Aid, he's bathed in it. I was talking to him after he got his car back from being fixed. Aside, AOP was incredibly gracious in that he fixed Big's car. Not only did Big say it runs better than it ever had before, but AOP gave a friends and family discount that equates the value of his labor with that of a McDonalds employee (exaggeration, but not by much). This is ludicrous, like paying Michelangelo a dead rat and a string to swing it with to paint a fence, but that's the kind of man AOP is. Morons are the best people in the world, and he deserves public props for his incredible generosity, which I am freely giving him here.

478 Berserker. The only Behr paints that work now, are if you spend the extra and buy only their highest grade stuff.

It all went to hell when they had to go to zero VOC emissions grade paints. Before that, the medium grade Behr would flow from the brush and cover as well as you'd please.

But, like you, I'm now solidly buying from the Sherwin Williams store. The manager there so approves of my work, that he's put me in for a Commerical Account, and that without the usual and required Tax I.D. number. But then, I've bought a tanker load's worth of paint from them since 2008, too.

good people... and good friends... are the only thing giving me hope right now.

Luckily... there are still a LOT of good people out there.

Son has been unemployed for 4 months, and I was talking to an Old Friend who live in MO, and mentioned it. Well, long story short, he had a client who needed to replace an underperforming employee, and as it was a remote desk top type job? Son had a job THE NEXT DAY.

Good people, good friends... give me hope.

Yeah, these injectable products enhance things all right, they enhance infection after a while. Vis OAS, they induce an inferior, non-sterilizing immune response that screws up the normal immune response. See all those vaxxed getting infected twice, three times or more?

And people who actually knew what they were talking about and weren't on the take knew this would happen. Take Vanden Bossche, everything he predicted has happened.

486 It's a multi-pronged issue. Hardly anybody can think for themselves anymore. Maybe it's always been a rarity, but it is pathetic today. And there is an extensive array of destabilizing and destructive propaganda deployed against everyone.

I'm not "anti-vaxx", far from it. In fact historically it has been the leftists who've been piggybacking off of generalized herd immunity against various diseases for sometime. Vaccines are not and never have been risk free. On the whole they are a benefit.

At least, vaccines that have been properly tested. Ordinarily this takes roughly 8 to 12 years, and only about 20% make the grade. This is why it was inexplicable to me, people were doing cartwheels on their front lawn, overjoyed they were eligible to "get my shot" for an experimental, emergency use authorized brand new technology injection. When I pointed out we won't know for years the full extent of possible dangers - to different age groups, cohorts, pregnancy, I was treated to screeching and caterwauling and admonished it "wasn't experimental, it's just like the annual flu shot."

489 Well, I did a little search on graphene oxide, and apparently it is a 2-dimensional mesh of carbon atoms, one atom thick, the basic graphite crystal structure. But it has oxygen and hydroxyl groups studded at seemingly random places in the mesh. There does not seem to be any inherent limit to the extent of the plates. So, some sort of C6 polymer.

490 For my part, I would have perhaps considered taking the shot - although a "wait and see" attitude was what my spidey sense was telling me - except for the fact I acquired the virus and recovered long before any experimental vaccines were available.

Given the unknowns about the long term effects of the virus itself, the almost certainty it was a "gain of function" manipulation or escaped from a laboratory, it may well kill me later rather than sooner.

Avoiding it altogether is impossible, that was a fools errand. But I believe avoiding the vaccine is good advice for those especially who acquired and recovered from this thing. It is very sad to see a rash of heart attacks, strokes, and other strange maladies afflicting thousands of young people as a result of forcing people to take it. Completely unnecessary and contraindicated. Our "medical community" should he ashamed.

Those symptoms are why so many think they had it sometime between November and December, 2019. That was well before the 'outbreak' was recognized, though shit was (supposedly because who really knows with commies) going on China. I believe a lot of people had natural immunity because of that exposure but our medical PTB never acknowledged that at all because of the push for the global medical experimentation opportunity (sans long term studies of side effects) with the COVID-1984 multiple jabs.

I will admit that I didn't care for Trump circa 2016. I thought him to be a statist and isolationist, and didn't trust him. However, while I had my issues with him, it wasn't enough of a dealbreaker to prevent me from voting for him in 2020.

While I am good with Trump and would vote for him in 2024, if he were the nominee, I think its time we go for someone else. I suspect that he is turning into a spent political force. Now, he did a great deal of good, and the best he's done is pull a lot of people's pants down and exposing people for the frauds that they are. But I think someone else should step up. I'd take Desantis over Trump when the time comes.

The ironic thing about having to pay to comment on sites like that is it's a good bet the authors of the columns on which you write something never bother to read the comments themselves. What's the circle-jerk point in that?

I see the 'pay-to-comment on out good and glorious site' idea being one more way to strangle free speech on the innertubes. Can't talk if you can't pay. Very elitist, if'n you ask me, which you didn't.
