First-World Problems...
[American Toad (Anaxyrus americana), or maybe Fowler's Toad (Anaxyrus fowleri)] My cellular phone, with the computing power of the entire scientific world of the 1960s (a slight exaggeration) and a built-in camera the size of match book was unable to capture a perfect and aesthetically pleasing photo of this beast before it hopped away! Yeah...this is a stretch. That little bugger was happily hopping around while I and a few friends were testing the limits of our rapidly aging eyesight, shooting at small things 1,000 yards away, in the midst of some very beautiful country. I don't think he was too impressed. At least I was able to buy some maple syrup (more anon)!

Some routers won't let you connect as admin via WiFi so get an Ethernet cable. If you know your current network then pick an I.P. like xxx.xxx.xxx.250 and you're almost done. Mask would be 255.255.255.0 and the gateway is whatever your main router's I.P. is.

It's fine since it connects via a cable. If you are trying WPS then you need to push the WPS button on your main router then on this new one within a few seconds.

Not so good news...
The bank turned bitch on us for financing a new house. We were going to get a manufactured home and put it on this property, then tear down the old house. Not happening now. We are debt free. Paid off the old mortgage in February and the car loan a few weeks ago. So we back up and regroup. Looks like its gonna be stack as much cash as possible for awhile and hope the prices come down a bit. Not feeling optimistic about any of this shit.
Also, Hubbymayhem has been experiencing some chest pain. Had a stress test Friday but no results yet.

- Do not have the pharmacy call the vet's office.
- Insist on a paper prescription form from the vet.
- Take it myself to the pharmacy.
- Hand it to them inside and tell them it's for a dog.
Otherwise it'll take two weeks.

I did the same thing with Netgear router and a couple of extenders. You can get a sun tan from the microwave emissions throughout the house.
Pro tip: at the margin, put the extender closer rather than farther away from the router. It's tempting to try to stretch the distance, but a strong signal at the extender works 500% better than a weak signal. Better to buy extra extender(s) as necessary to talk to each other than to skimp and stretch the distance from the router.

She's been in the hospital as recent as April 10th where she had to be vented for two days because the build up of fluid in her lungs because of congestive heart failure. No Covid at that time or the previous three other times she was admitted with same symptoms.
Now with the positive Covid test they are following Covid protocol treatment hopefully not at the expense of her other co-morbidities .
That said , it's not really living when you are in and out of the hospital so frequently. I really pray for her comfort one way or the other .

Yes, I was ridiculously pleased with my shooting, and I was successful because contrary to everything I expected, it isn't black magic.
It is however some basic math. I think I embarrassed everyone else by taking off my shoes so I could count on my toes, but the coaching was great, and I was able to do my part fairly well.

I had to rebuild the fence (part of which had collapsed) on my parents' house. First thing I did: dig out the 4x4s, and replace them with steel poles, on which I mounted the stringers and then the slats. That way in the future I can replace the wooden parts quickly and easily - after the termites chow down - without having to mess with the poles.
