Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Quick HitsZeke Miller The lawyer who represented Nick Sandman in his defamation lawsuits will represent Kyle Rittenhouse. The lawyer who represented Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann during his defamation cases has joined Kyle Rittenhouse's legal team, and says there will be "at least 10" defamation lawsuits against prominent figures and companies for comments against the teenager. "I've been hired to head the effort to determine whom to sue, when to sue, where to sue," Todd McMurtry, who now represents Rittenhouse, told Fox News Digital in a phone interview Thursday morning. "We're going to look at everything that's been said, determine which of those comments are legally actionable and proceed from there." McMurtry said it's "pretty much assured that there's probably 10 to 15 solid" cases against "large defendants." ... Though the legal process for potential defamation cases is just beginning, McMurtry singled out Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook for a "factually false" designation on the platform that listed the Kenosha shootings as a "mass murder" incident. The designation resulted in Rittenhouse's social media accounts being pulled down and restricting positive comments about the teenager. "Let's just use for an example what Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg said about [Rittenhouse]. They said that he was involved in a mass murder incident," McMurtry explained. "This was not a mass murder incident. It was clearly factually false." Professor Bumbles will meekly make a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia to grovel for the sheiks to please please please pump more oil -- despite having previously vowed to make Saudi Arabia a "pariah state." Note that if he had not treated an ally in this fashion, he wouldn't have to grovel; the Saudis would already be pumping more. (If we needed the oil. We wouldn't, under Trump.) But that's what you get for Virtue Signaling on Twitter. You're eventually forced to pay the price for your moral peacocking. I wonder what the Saudis will extort from him. President Biden is planning to visit Saudi Arabia later this month, a remarkable departure from his vow as a presidential candidate to treat the country as a "pariah" state, according to three administration officials who requested anonymity to share details of a trip not yet announced. The president's trip to Riyadh follows broader efforts by his administration to build ties with the oil-rich nation to reduce the price of gas in the United States, which has skyrocketed in recent months. The stop in Saudi Arabia is expected to be added to Biden's overseas trip later this month, when he will travel to Israel, Germany and Spain, the officials said.Is it wrong that I'm rooting for the Saudis to extract some humiliating price? I wouldn't mind seeing Biden humbled. I suppose this would mean "America" is being humiliated, but I don't see it that way; the nation is under the corrupt tyranny of a hostile enemy regime. Biden is doing all sorts of humiliating walk-backs. Now he says that Ukraine might have to give some of its territory to Russia as part of a negotiated settlement. President Biden on Friday declined to rule out Ukraine having to cede part of its territory to Russia in order to end Moscow's more than three-month-old invasion. "Does Ukraine have to cede territory to achieve peace?" a reporter asked Biden after his remarks on the May jobs report. "From the beginning, I've said and I've been -- not everyone's agreed with me -- nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine," Biden began his answer. "It's their territory. I'm not going to tell them what they should and shouldn't do. "But it appears to me that at some point along the line, there's going to have to be a negotiated settlement here," the president added. "And what that entails, I don't know. I don't think anybody knows at the time. But in the meantime, we're gonna continue to put the Ukrainians in a position where they can defend themselves."What happened to "My God, this man cannot remain in power"? It's a pity that Rittenhouse had his AR-15 destroyed by the Kenosha P.D.
I would've suggested that Sen. Cruz subpeona that A.R. to testify before the Senate, as to how a Good Gun with a Good Guy defeats Bad Guys with bad boots, bad skateboards and bad pistols. If the A.R.s testimony shoots as straight and hits as hard as it did that fateful night, the (d) side of the dias would be lit. Or, lit up, depending. Any further questions for Mr. A.R., dems? I don't remember much about The World According to Garp, but it's been nearly impossible to find copies of it anywhere, and it never made it to tv, despite being pretty popular at the time and starring Robin Williams.
All I seem to remember from it is the unfortunate accident scene (which I'm pretty sure is indelible in every dude's mind who ever saw the movie) and the refrain, "'a-a-a-a-r-r-rp!" still echoes in my head from time to time. Regarding Ukraine: my theory is that because everyone expected the Russians to steamroll the Ukrainians, there was supposed to be no cost to all the tough talk and promises of assistance. If the whole thing is over in a week or two, then the US would just shrug and say, "there's not much we could have done to help you" before sending in the State Department weenies to negotiate a new status quo.
When Zelensky refused to flee Kiev, and the Ukrainian gov and mil didn't collapse, and the Russians stepped on their own dicks, suddenly the western political class were faced with having to honor the promises they made, and now they're panicking. Remember, they've been getting rich writing checks against the reputation of the West for decades, on the assumption that those checks would never be cashed. When I had a job loading and unloading boxes onto semi trailers there were guys that would faint from the heat. It was over a 110 out and even hotter in the trailer. One time a guy dropped and a supervisor not knowing put someone in to load again. The guy had fallin under some hinged horizontal doors that allow you to close and load up high so nobody knew and walled him in. The driver would had taken off with the guy in the back if someone didn't hear his muffled screams.

If you leave your knees bent, you have to tense your leg muscles to stay upright. If you lock your knees, your leg muscles relax, and blood can pool in your legs and make you more likely to pass out. Especially if you were drunk the night before and are still hung over and dehydrated.

---- She moderated one of the Republican Primary debates, and spent a good chunk of it trying to provoke an outburst from Trump instead of being purely impartial. And she left Fox for her short-lived stint at one of the lefty networks, where afaik she presented much the same as the typical lefty presenter. Then she lost that job, and after a bit started up her independent gig. While her new show is conservative-friendly, some here don't care, and are focused purely on the two above items.
