in the Sil Valley of Galicia, Spain,
built continuously from the 12th through 18th centuries.
The original hermitage was built there around 500 or 550 A.D.
It's now been converted into a luxury hotel or "parador."

By the way, that makes a good background image for a computer screen. It's not quite long enough to fill the screen so pick the "Fit" option and just fill the sides with a suitable background color, like gray, slate, or black.

Way back before babyfood in a jar, and before blenders, babies would get their first solid food that had been chewed up by a mom or a grandmother.
Chew the food good and fine, and pass it to the baby, mouth to mouth. Kissing mimics that.

It is good for the kid, it passes mouth flora between the caregiver and the kid, and it is a bonding thing as well.

My wife fed her daughter that way because a) she was raised that way, and b) she was a dead-broke single mom and couldn't afford baby food

When Mueller was the director of the FBI he changed the rules for promotion and those rules are still in place. He changed it from an agency where agents were promoted based on competency to one based on patronage.

That's a big reason we ended up with a politicized FBI and scumbags at the top.

But yea, the DC circuit is notoriously corrupt. But until it can be gutted I still think it's important to indict people and try them. If the dual system of justice we are living under isn't exposed so clearly that it can't be denied it will never get fixed.

Besides, the process is the punishment doesn't just work for Republicans. Sussmann's defense cost in the 7 figures and everyone who actually looks at the evidence knows he is a lying scumbag.

Not the way the law is currently written. For most crimes other than things like multi-state conspiracies the case must be heard in the district the crime was committed. It's not a matter of hard, it's the law.

Sussmann committed his felony at FBI HQ in DC. That's why the trial was in DC. Igor Danchenko, however, was indicted in the Eastern District of Virginia and that's where his trial will be held.
