EDGEFIELD COUNTY, S.C. – Law enforcement authorities in South Carolina believe a man suffered a fatal heart attack while digging a grave and burying a woman he had just killed by strangulation. Granted, in a court of law he's innocent until proven guilty. But this is not a court of law. It is The ONT. And I say the dirty scoundrel is guilty. Crickets from the left on vote fraud of course. A Democrat County Supervisor in Buchanan County, Virginia has been indicted on 82 felony counts stemming from an alleged election fraud and corruption scheme following a 2-year state police investigation. Included in the charges filed against Trey Adkins, of the county’s Knox District, are 34 counts of false statements related to election fraud and 11 counts of absentee voting violations. Do you need another reason to despise your government? Do you want to know what has our Founding Fathers spinning in their graves? Mandatory kill switches in your ride. Joe Biden Is Threatening Our Freedom of Movement The federal gov’t and silicon valley are looking to clamp down on your freedom of movement. Your ability to move about as you please does not fit with their goals for the future of our world. Automotive-related freedoms, including access to fuel, allow us to be free to move without the permission of silicon valley and the federal government. Automotive freedoms are not only hobby related; they are essential to preventing yet another step along the road to serfdom at the hands of woke corporations and federal bureaucrats. Biden recently signed into law a requirement that all vehicles produced after 2026 be fitted with a remote kill switch. Electric vehicles are already equipped with this capability via internet-connected “superchargers.” These corporations can sell you a product for tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars, then prevent you from using them. Worse yet, if the law is not challenged or repealed, these kill switches will have a “back door” that allows government agencies to shut your vehicle off remotely as well. RIP Big Man Bob Lanier. One of the NBA’s most notable big men, Bob Lanier, has passed away at the age of 73. Lanier, an eight-time All-Star, who was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1992, died Tuesday following a short illness. After being drafted first overall in 1970, Lanier played 14 NBA seasons, compiling averages of 20.1 points and 10.1 rebounds. His pro career began with the Detroit Pistons (1970-80), before finishing with the Milwaukee Bucks (1980-84). He still ranks third in Pistons history in both points and rebounds. Lanier was named MVP of the 1974 All-Star Game. Though Lanier’s illness wasn’t specified, The Athletic reported in 2019 that the former center was being treated for a form of bladder cancer If you want to go mountain biking at Oregon’s Mount Hood Skibowl, forget about it. Oregon’s Mount Hood Skibowl announced it would shut down its summer mountain biking operations, following the first ‘serious bike claim’ in over 3 decades. A 2016 accident left the plaintiff of the lawsuit paralyzed from the waist down. A man paralyzed in a 2016 mountain bike accident at Mount Hood Skibowl won an $11.4 million settlement. And the resort will suspend its mountain biking operations for the summer of 2022. In a verdict Skibowl called “unprecedented,” Oregon judges awarded Gabriel B. Owens the settlement. Per documents submitted to the court, the accident occurred on Cannonball, a double black diamond trail, on July 31, 2016. The documents say that the 43-year-old hit a rut and “lost control of his mountain bike, crashed, and slid downhill.” Then, his “torso forcibly struck a 4″x4″ solid wooden post” installed on the trail for signage. Any GM vehicle equipped with OnStar has the kill switch baked into the cake. Many a police pursuit has been ended, when the P.D. gets the VIN from the license plate computer records. Then, (every 911 center has an 800 number to call OnStar), they read the VIN to the OnStar operator, who with a Supervisor's approval, can send the Kill Signal via satellite, which directly reaches the fleeing vehicle, and slows it's speed in increments, until it's motionless.
It does it in increments, leaving the engine running, by taking over control of the throttle, and using the ABS computer to control the brakes. This way, it's not a sudden loss of power or control, but the chase is soon OVER. Oh, and it unlocks the doors when a full stop is achieved. Moral of the story? Don't own a GM product, as they all have OnStar as standard equipment. Jim Sunk New Dawn Galveston, TX Posted by: Jim at May 11, 2022 10:22 PM (QzJWU) 124

>>>Jamaican singer-songwriter Bob Marley died aged 36. In July 1977, Marley was found to have a type of malignant melanoma under the nail of a toe, Marley's health deteriorated as the cancer had spread throughout his body.
Gotta be careful of those toe problems. Marley initially refused treatment of his cancer, so it spread. Another toe death, from Silent Cal's Wikipedia page: The Coolidges had two sons: John (1906–2000) and Calvin Jr. (1908–1924). Calvin Jr. died at age 16 from blood poisoning. On June 30, 1924 Calvin Jr. had played tennis with his brother on the White House tennis courts without putting on socks and developed a blister on one of his toes. The blister subsequently degenerated into sepsis and Calvin Jr. died a little over a week later. The President never forgave himself for Calvin Jr's death. Posted by: Anon Y. Bannon just had the author of Google Archipelago on ... the guy has a website, this short article is good.
The Great Reset VII: Capitalism for the Rich and Socialism for the Poor "In fact, the whole objective of what has been called the Great Reset is the exact inverse of the formula 'socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor.' The Great Reset represents an attempt on the part of a protected class of elite capitalists to form cartels and seek state favoritism to establish capitalism for themselves while effectively consigning the vast majority to socialism. This explains why capitalist corporations, in conjunction with propagandists at the World Economic Forum, are spouting social democratic socialist rhetoric and ideology and pushing a social democratic socialist agenda. https://tinyurl.com/2p9ervyr and this is Bannon, go to 28:20 for Rectenwald https://tinyurl.com/yc7773j8 Posted by: illiniwek at May 11, 2022 10:54 PM (Cus5s) 269

Biden administration cancels Alaska oil and gas lease sale
https://t.co/WJoHVs9POk The Biden administration has canceled one of the most high-profile oil and gas lease opportunities pending before the Interior Department. The decision, which halts the potential to drill for oil in over 1 million acres in the Cook Inlet in Alaska, comes at a challenging political moment, when gas prices are hitting painful new highs. In a statement shared first with CBS News, the Department of the Interior cited a "lack of industry interest in leasing in the area" for the decision to "not move forward" with the Cook Inlet lease sale. The department also halted two leases under consideration for the Gulf of Mexico region because of "conflicting court rulings that impacted work on these proposed lease sales." Some maps out say the reason is that the Russian rail supply lines are now within range of Ukrainian artillery, which have shut them down. I used to prefer an iced latte. I was never a huge coffee guy, my go to's were iced tea and even more fermented beverages. Today I usually prefer hot coffee, at least at breakfast. There are expectations for how things should be.
I know a well made iced latte or Vietnamese coffee for example can have a ton of flavor. And sometimes you just want something cold. Lately I am down on cold brew coffee in general. To me it is missing something. And some drink their cold brew hot. Tastes very and often change. I used to disdain many things as a yute I enjoy now. 400 those are very rare and usually very unstable. I am not saying don't try that, but my guess is it is not the sulfites. In fact white wine often has more of them, but many specifically get headaches from red wine. And sulfites are not just added for stability, they occur naturally in the wine making process.

Mr, Jim. Your point is exactly on target. I would move to Texas in about 3 seconds if they'd get their property tax costs under control. I'm in the last quarter of my life and I now live within a cash flow world. New Mexico makes that work while Texas is a big problem even with all its massive and perfect advantageous situations like FJB flags. For the record, Arizona has been overrun with people from California while New Mexico, so far, has avoided that for the most part. From what I can tell California is moving to Texas. The government debt will never be paid off. The dirty little secret - it was never intended to be paid off. Governments are different than you and me. For one thing, we don't have a printing press, we don't float bonds, and so on.
The debt doesn't matter. Now the leftists like to paint Dick Cheney as fiscally reckless, who famously said Deficits don't matter What they don't tell you, is he was talking in reference to elections. As in "Deficits don't matter in presidential campaigns". Not that deficits don't matter. Because, they do. WHEN, they reach the point that the issuing agency cannot pay the interest on the existing debt. They have to pay that, or it gets dicey real quick. You think things are weird now? Whatever happens, it should be really wacky. I guarantee, you won't like it. This is why they don't talk about deficits, or balance of payments, favorable trade balances, or even pass an actual budget. Half of them are too stupid to even opine, and the ones that are know better than to broach the subject. Steal what they can, loot the Treasury, and then fly off to New Zealand or whatever when the balloon goes up, apparently. Quint is right about wine temperature. It's easy to see some basic guidelines, just look up on the web. Room temperature of a French country house, in the fall, is closer to high 50s than 68, this is the main error with reds.
But none of this is complicated or sophistimicated. If you like wine, take the 45 seconds required to download a serving temperature chart. It will pay off. Posted by: rhomboid at May 12, 2022 01:58 AM (OTzUX) 476

The first 24 hours is critical to decide if you're gonna bug out or hunker down. Using cash to get provisions during this time. Community is critical. Going it alone will get you killed. After the first 24 hours, things get progressively worse as people realize the SHF is real and panic begins. At this point, bugging out is risky. After a week, a month, good luck going anywhere. Samuel Little is the most prolific serial killer in US history. FBI Profiling would skip right over him.
Posted by: Anti doesn't matter at May 12, 2022 01:50 AM (eCqFY) Israel Keyes was one of the, if not the, most organized serial killers ever. He never would have been caught except the compulsion to kill, when opportunity presented itself, even though he knew he shouldn't do it, brought him down. He kidnapped, raped and killed a young woman who was working at a coffee shop kiosk in Anchorage; he killed where he lived and he knew that was a no-no. Committed suicide before trial so his secrets went to the grave. No one will ever know just how many he killed. Over-using a victim's credit card didn't help him evade the law, either. If you read up on his planning, it was pretty unbelievable and why the killings would never have been traced to him. He didn't have a kill kit in his car, he had kill kits buried all over the country in plastic screw-top buckets, just waiting to be used. No one knows how many of those buried buckets are out there, either. I don't even think the crew of Criminal Minds would have found him if he hadn't fucked up. I like the desert Slickrock country of sandstone spires and mesa tops. Basically the 4 Corners region is fantastic.
In the Spring, which can be volatile. Not too sure about July or August. And the wind any time. There's a reason the trees at the exposed ridges and mesa tops are no higher than 8 or 10 feet and all twisted and gnarly. It can go from absolute dead calm weather to gale force near hurricane winds in a matter of hours. Desert is a land of extremes and great beauty, too. Rhomboid. Last time I was in Plaster City would've been about 1973. Same for Ocotillo Wells.
'Packin' my fool head off at the age of 14, and still have a neat scar on my left shin to show for it. ..Camping in the desert reminds you how fragile and insignificant life is. It is not an attractive environment; it forces you to be present and a part of the universe, harsh and alive. Or you die. If what Lt. Gov. Patrick and State Sen. Bettencourt have their way, TX is going to blow Prop 13 out of the water in terms of long term benefits to the taxpayer. They'll end up benefitting NEW buyers, not just grandfathered in owners. And this, as far into the future as can be guarded against a new Tx State Constiutional Amendment. Which ain't likely, even with a solidy (D) statehouse. People of Texas would never vote it in. Jim Sunk New Dawn Galveston, TX Posted by: Jim at May 12, 2022 02:20 AM (QzJWU) 484

Fox News: Biden admin cancels massive oil and gas lease sale amid record-high gas prices...A DOI spokesperson cited a "lack of industry interest in leasing in the area" for the decision "not to move forward"
Or we might say: The Department of Interior, led by the most unqualified person possible once you exclude the professional dream catcher counselor qualification, wrote the bid in such a manner that only suicidal influencers on TikTok would have seen this bid as viable. Plus the chances of getting a license to proceed were at -1,000,000,000. This bid was done so the lesbo in waiting spokeshole can preen and crow, it is the oil companies fault they didn't commit suicide, once she owns the podium on Monday. So the Broccoli in Chief yesterday, while the anti-dementia meds were still working, went nuts and said, "Remember those long lines you saw on televison, people lining up in all kinds of vehicles, just to get a box of food in their trunk..."
WTF? People had cars with trunks during the great Biden famine of 2021? What does this demented fuck have in mind for 2023 if we don't vote right? This guy, Big Biden, is a lunatic that should be in a nursing home where the only damage he can cause is when he head butts a TV. Posted by: Lost In Space at May 12, 2022 02:49 AM (2mSQi) 493
The essence of prop 13 is no reassessments unless you remodel and tax increases (%) are capped. What you pay becomes your assessment immediately. So if you pay $1,000,000, you can budget your taxes appropriately. When same house next door sells for $2mil, you remain taxed at $1mil.

Morning, all!
The HOA business: When I lived in Denver, it seemed 3/4 of my coworkers lived in developments with them. One told me that it was a rule in his area that you couldn't have a swamp cooler projecting above the line of the roof. Excuse me? Swamp coolers (which really are pretty useless there) are those evaporative coolers that you find often instead of A/C in dry climates. They are more efficient when you put them up high. My reaction was, "If you pay for my A/C installation, then you have a right to complain about my swamp cooler." My coworker was aghast at the idea of bucking the HOA. Looking back, I realize the mindset of "Must Obey" that led to COVID hysteria was already present in Denver. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius at May 12, 2022 03:59 AM (c6xtn) 500

Posted by: Quint at May 12, 2022 *** Same here, Cap'n. My first time in Albuquerque-Santa Fe in 1992, I was instantly determined to live near mountains and in dry air. I moved to Denver and loved the climate and landscape. Since I came back to Da Swamp in '01, I've been miserable, and want OUT. I was getting ready to retire and move someplace I'd enjoy, and then -- as someone here called him -- the Broccoli-in-Chief has smashed things up so that I don't know if my retirement will be enough to live on. I begin to understand why an animal might gnaw its own paw off to be free of a trap. . . . Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius at May 12, 2022 04:08 AM (c6xtn) 501

Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius at May 12, 2022 03:59 AM (c6xtn) It was not just the urge to obey/trust the government. They rammed the lockdowns so fast and kept throwing out grander and grander fabulisms(?) to get people to just go home and businesses to just close down. For just a couple days or weeks. Once they were able to get that through and everyone went along, then could then go after anyone who said 'Hey, wait a minute!' Isolate. Immobilize. Collapse on. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius at May 12, 2022 03:59 AM (c6xtn) HOAs were made for Kens and Karens. I do not understand why anyone would willingly join such a totalitarian group where they measure your lawn to make sure it's cut to the 'right' height. HOAs are so un-American. You own, and can do what you want with, your property -- sort of. Because only if Karen and Ken approve. I knew a co-worker who bought a house in an HOA way back in the early '80s. We've been building those big subliminal messaging 'OBEY' signs* for a long time now. COVID-1984 put 'OBEY' over the top, along with mask and 'vaccine' mandates. * 'They Live', one of the best sci-fi films ever. Posted by: RickZ at May 12, 2022 04:15 AM (ldL4g) 504

I have two string trimmers with lithium battery's. Neither one will charge when the temp. is over 85 degrees, or below freezing. I had to wait for the battery's to cool before the charger would work. I hope this isn't true with car battery's or that long road trip in the desert might take months to complete....?

If Biden can't put 2 sentences together as most of the people in the government know so my question is: What is the term used for the process of removal of the President from office?
Impeachment is the process by which a legislative body or other legally constituted tribunal initiates charges against a public official for misconduct. It may be understood as a unique process involving both political and legal elements. Posted by: sidney at May 12, 2022 06:08 AM (itAo5) 526

I absolutely despise the tendency to shut down access to things for everyone, because of one incident, or even worse, because of bad actions by a small group of people or individual. How many forest areas are gated off because assholes use them for dump sites? Now nobody gets to use them.
Which brings me to Oregon mountain biking... Mountain biking downa ski slope is an inherently dangerous activity. A 43 year old man ought to know this. He also ought to know not to ride outside of his abilities. Where is his responsibility for choosing to perform a hazardous activity outside of his abilities? What was the basis of the verdict? That the ski slope was responsible for a 43 year old man making a decision to perform a risky activity, and not stopping him? The fuck? Now, because this guy wants to argue that he needed to be protected from himself, and that the ski slope had that duty to protect him from himself, nobody gets to ride anymore. I'm sorry he got hurt, but fuck this guy. Posted by: Goober at May 12, 2022 10:44 AM (Hgvgt) Processing 0.08, elapsed 0.0731 seconds. |
