The Adults Are Back In Charge: Callow Hyperincompetent Biden "Intelligence" and Military Staff Openly Bragging That They're Helping Ukraine Destroy Russian Ships, Kill Russian Generals, and Shoot Down Russian Planes Carrying Hundreds of Russian Troops

Same type of sh*t happened under Obama -- these nasty little weaklings who were justifiably bullied all their sad bitchmade lives couldn't wait to run to their media friends and brag about what big men they were now.

But the Adults Are Back in Charge, NeverTrump assures me.

America is Back, baby.

Putin has an "I Win" button he can always press. That button is the use of truly indiscriminate bombing against civilian population centers or even some tactical nuclear bombs.

The NeverTrump-endorsed Biden Administration's bragging about killing Russian generals, Russian sailors, and Russian troops just gave Putin a pretextual justification for pushing that "I Win" button.

But The Adults Are Back in Charge, right?

Right?

The United States provided Ukraine with intelligence that helped Kyiv attack and sink the flagship of Russia's Black Sea fleet, the Moskva, in one of the most dramatic battlefield successes of the 71-day old war, according to people familiar with the matter.

The missile strike by Ukrainian forces in April, an extraordinary embarrassment for the Kremlin that deprived Russia of a key vessel in its military campaign, may not have been possible without the U.S. assistance, these people said, underscoring how deeply Washington has become enmeshed in Ukraine's fight against Russia. It is unclear how many Russian sailors died in the attack, but U.S. officials believe there were significant casualties.

Despite providing intelligence on the Moskva, the United States had "no prior awareness" of Ukraine's decision to strike the warship, a U.S. official said. The official noted that the U.S. government shares maritime awareness with Ukraine to help the nation defend against threats. Russian vessels in the Black Sea have been launching missiles at Ukraine -- and could be used to support an amphibious assault on the country, the official said.

Biden officials had previously leaked word that they were helping Ukrainians target Russian generals on the battlefield -- which resulted in several Russian general being killed.

Asked if Russia would take specific measures in reaction to any intelligence-sharing that led to the deaths of Russian generals, Peskov said, "Of course, Russian forces are doing everything necessary in this situation," according to state news agency RIA Novosti.

In addition to putting out the word that we're helping Ukraine kill Russian sailors and Russian generals, the senile Biden Administration, looking to appear "tough," also couldn't help bragging that it was directly responsible for a shoot-down of a Russian troop-carrier that killed hundreds of Russian troops.

Screenshot (2150).png

As Russia launched its invasion, the U.S. gave Ukrainian forces detailed intelligence about exactly when and where Russian missiles and bombs were intended to strike, prompting Ukraine to move air defenses and aircraft out of harm's way, current and former U.S. officials told NBC News.

That near real-time intelligence-sharing also paved the way for Ukraine to shoot down a Russian transport plane carrying hundreds of troops in the early days of the war, the officials say, helping repel a Russian assault on a key airport near Kyiv.

It was part of what American officials call a massive and unprecedented intelligence-sharing operation with a non-NATO partner that they say has played a crucial role in Ukraine's success to date against the larger and better-equipped Russian military.

I think everyone, both on the left and the right, both dove and hawk, can agree, that no matter what your opinion is on being this forward-leaning in, for all practical purposes, being an actual belligerent in this war, what you absolutely do not do is openly confirm your status as an undeclared belligerent and, even worse, brag about your status as an undeclared belligerent and all the sweet sweet KILLS you're making as an undeclared belligerent.

Did the Russians suspect we were sharing intel? Of course.

But here we are confirming it, and more than that, bragging about it, humiliating them, baiting them, taunting them, basically daring them, "And you can't do anything about it..."

Can't they?

Can't they?

So, Captain Scranton:

You significantly increased the odds that Russia will use nuclear weapons -- which very significantly increases the odds that this could all spiral into an actual hot nuclear war with Russia -- and you increased the odds that Putin will just start absolutely butchering Ukranians because you're openly flouting your war-making against him and publicly humiliating him -- but hey, you got some positive headlines from NBC and "Fusion Ken" Dilanian, and it's really hard for a leftwing Democrat to get positive headlines from NBC and "Fusion Ken" Dilanian, so... totally worth it, I guess?

The Adults Are Back in Charge, baby!

On the plus side...

NO MEAN TWEETS
Posted by: Cicero (@cicero43)

Question:

Are we now actually at war with Russia -- the very thing that the Smartest People in the Room assured us could never, ever happen?

Have the Smartest People in the Room now declared us to be a declared belligerent? Have they therefore made all NATO countries legal targets as well?

1. are any of these leaks coming from Ukraine in order to inflame things and suck us in?

2. Putin's internal propaganda is that Russia is at war with NATO and had to go into Ukraine because the US was using it to threaten Russia. These leaks support Russia's narrative and shunt out the hope that internal forces would pressure Putin to back down.

With the exception of Mariupol (which was leveled in ground combat), the Russians have not leveled Ukrainian cities with artillery fire, there have been no mysterious explosions at Polish bases used to supply Ukraine, and there have not been cyberattacks against the US and its allies. Some analysts are wondering why Russia hasn't done more.

120 So, if we are at war with Russia, what are the goals? What is the objective?

1. Reelect dems ("war presidents" stand a good chance of reelection.)

2. Justify social credit system of oppression and censorship

3. accelerate the conversion to a "renewable" economy with no fossil fuels, fertilizer, cars, food,....

4. more diversity because that is always their goal.

5. distract from the failed economy, failed cities, failed border, and failed schools.

If the list was much longer I might get to saving Ukraine or tamping down Russian aggression, but ain't nobody's got time for that.

Russia, along with a few other countries, propounds a competing view of Western culture, where men cannot get pregnant.

It was pretty damned late and deficient from the beginning and pre-beginning stages. Politically, the Team absolutely sucked. Biden essentially waved Putin to move in.

But since Ukraine has been a bit tougher nut to crack, maybe it's Biden et al. who are simply trying to piggyback on Ukraine's relative success. It's not Biden who has done anything; it's everyone else around the globe with Ukrainian stubbornness that's willed them to survive.

So, yeah, I'm not inclined to give any credit to Team Biden for anything since everything has been covered in lies and smothered with propaganda. I figure Biden sees some success somewhere and is desperate to claim it. Hell, he'll say he was essential in the Washington Capital's Game 1 win over the Florida Panthers.

241 Biden and Jake Sullivan, his dangerously stupid National Security Advisor, are bragging like the bullies they are. They are also publicly daring Putin to retaliate directly against the US or our allies. Then the idiots will have their excuse to use our forces all-out, other than nukes, to crush Russian military and economic assets. To topple Putin - this is the true goal of the Junta in this Ukrainian proxy war madness.

Problem is, if Putin strikes us in retaliation for fighting a major war against Russia by proxy in Ukraine, we will get hurt. Not that the Junta cares. For example, Russian attack subs torpedoing and sinking a dozen or more supertankers would immediately raise the price of crude oil by who knows how much?

The problem for Putin is that he knows he will lose most or all of his retaliation forces, further weakening Russia. US/NATO will sink any subs that attack tankers or container ships. We will destroy Russian bombers launching cruise missile against our ships or land targets, in the air or after they land.

Bottom Line: The Junta is playing a dangerous game that idiots should not be playing.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised, most people seem remarkably unworldly and gullible on such topics - then again, they're not given to rigorous thinking on anything.

No nukes. Targeting locations/assets where NATO personnel might be present has been happening for a while (cruise missile strikes on depots in western Ukraine), I think that's the "red line" Moscow has decided to cross.

So there actually was an Il-76 downed the first few days? The claim was that 2 had been shot down. Yet back then, following things, the few reliable expert observers emphasized that no evidence of such shootdowns existed (overhead imagery and up-close imagery that is coming out in abundance in this dust-up could easily confirm something huge like this). I have never seen that any such evidence had emerged.

Russia is fighting NATO in many respects, everything but the front-line personnel they face. Seems Russian military planning and performance has been very poor, but western intel/advice help has been key too.

325 Russia won't "horizontally" escalate, no need, and won't help much. They just have to grind away to reach a few of their objectives, the more limited ones, and that will be that, for now. They also won't even think about nukes.

When Putin employed truly sad cheap theatrics early on and talked about some order to his nuclear forces, no change in their status was detected. Again - very cheap theatrics, which so many fall for.

Ukraine can't sustain a situation of grinding warfare and economic disruption indefinitely. Russia's much better positioned on both counts. A messy, incomplete, non-ending most likely here. Crimea's gone, Russia will slog for a long time to secure D & L, plus a buffer zone around them.

Preventing Ukraine's western military integration was always a likely impossible goal for Moscow. But they decided to take the chance that their paradox actually could turn out OK with bold action. And it's not about Putin, Ukraine's status is not some peculiar personal idiosyncratic thing of his, it's obvious basic Russian security thinking/mindset/paranoia.

330 I don't think the Biden administration wants actual war with Russia, I just think the intelligence community that's in charge behind the scenes loves the idea of fighting proxy wars around the world to promote their ideas, try out new schemes, and enrich themselves with military contracts. They want to fight against who they perceive to be their enemies -- not America's but theirs -- through other people and clever intel schemes.

By this I mean, they don't actually want declared formal war with troops on the ground and all that, they want sneaky nasty underhanded proxy wars where someone else is at war, and they just help out and manipulate things behind the scenes.

Every day of war increases the amount of money Z-Man will ask for to rebuild Ukraine, by probably a billion dollars. Joe will press Congress for every dime Z-Man claims he needs. Republicans who oppose this will of course be branded as treasonous tools of Putin, because failing to re-build Ukraine will make Ukraine vulnerable to another Russian attack. Billions will be skimmed off the top of the rebuilding aid, both here and in Ukraine. Russia's ambassador to the US said on Thursday that NATO leaders are not taking the threat of nuclear war seriously enough.

"The current generation of NATO politicians clearly does not take the nuclear threat seriously," ambassador Anatoly Antonov told Newsweek. While it's widely believed that a direct war between NATO and Russia would quickly turn nuclear, the danger doesn't appear to be factored into the Western approach to the war in Ukraine.

Peculiar, isn't it, that the last American war to have rousing patriotic songs written *currently* about it was WWI, more than 100 years ago. WWII had songs, but I think they were more laments that the war was separating families and wishing the war would be over soon. Okay, there was "Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B" from '41 -- but that came out well before Pearl Harbor. And in the '50s or '60s we had "The Battle of New Orleans" and "Sink the Bismarck," but those two were all long after the wars involved had receded into the far past.

No rousing patriotic popular songs about Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan. It's as if songwriters (the few left who could craft such tunes) knew that the American people wouldn't buy such false material.

Abortion clinics regularly cover up abortions of underage girls. Like 12 year old girls, 14 year old girls. They ignore the mandatory reporting laws, because the rights of the girls to be sexually abused by adults trumps the law.

No reason. And the left's rabid devotion to abortion has less to do with "women's rights" and more to do with money. The baby-parts selling business has become big money in recent years.

Ever wonder why, if the left is so concerned about unwanted pregnancies, that they don't spend more effort on teaching people how to effectively use birth control? It's because they don't want them to use it. They want these unwanted pregnancies, because they want the aborted fetuses, and the later term they are, the more money they can get for their body parts.

The 1st vessel was a transport/landing ship used for amphibious operations that was hit by apparent artillery fire while dockside in southeast Ukraine. It sank there. The 2nd was the guided missile cruiser Moskva sunk after being hit by a "Neptune" anti-ship missile some 50 miles south of Odesa last month.

Imagery from various sites like The Mirror UK, The Sun and some Naval observers on Facebook, Twitter, etc. have posted photos that purport to show the Russian frigate, Putin's new/replacement flagship" for the Black Sea on fire. That strikes me as odd. Weird. Almost certainly, those people got a better offer from someone else after accepting with Southwest and then couldn't be bothered to inform the company that they were rescinding their acceptance of the offer.

It's rude. They're also probably timid to the point that they would rather fuck someone over than have a remotely uncomfortable conversation.

AeroPrecision is a nice midline affordable LR-308 (AR-10 technically has a bit different upper receiver and lower). The LR-308 was developed by DPMS and later as Bushmaster. Armalite (successor company) and maybe Stag? You have low and high profile LR-308 which makes a difference on handguards. AeroPrecision is high profile so I advise on a build sticking with their parts or if you buy a complete rifle. Ditto for Palmetto State Armory firearms.

re AR-10: You probably know this but just in case: Most of the "AR-10" rifles, uppers, and lowers are actually so-called SR-25 configuration hardware. AeroPrecision makes SR-25 configuration uppers/lowers. AR-10 and SR-25 uppers and lowers are not interchangeable. The rear part of the uppers and lowers are different and will not fit the other type. I believe almost all parts such as triggers, buffers, and the many small parts will fit either type of rifle/upper/lower. But not all. There are AR-10/SR-25 parts compatibility lists on the Web.

524 Oh, and on 308 or 5.56 for that matter, the cheap range ammo will not become much if any more accurate if shot in a more accurate rifle. That is because the components--primers, powder, and projectiles are simply not quality checked as much as match ammo so wider variances in one round to the next exist making measuring any accuracy improvements doubtful.

Likewise, if you are a 2-3 MOA shooter, even the most accurate ammo in a very accurate rifle will end up 2-3 MOA.

For most hunting, or even SHTF, 2-3 MOA for function and reliability is more than acceptable in anything other than precision long distance applications.

532 Skip: "What totalitarian in the world hasn't looked for a war to keep their own people in line and occupied?..."

That's becoming more and more possible. Not long ago (Biden's only been in office about a year and a half) that could've been a mere crossbeam in their platform. You know, Foreign Policy "Expert" Joe. Now, after endless and total failure (if one were to measure success as America being successful), that might well be considered the central pillar.

There is NO domestic success. The only place to go to manufacture it (or create the illusion of it) is to move assembly offshore where it's much harder for citizens (and the lickspittle MFM) to process the product. So, the regime provides a portfolio of foreign "successes" that the domestic propaganda machine (MFM/CIA) parrots and says, "See, this is what we need to worry about. Ignore all these other things. They don't mean anything."

So, yes, the US Federal Government is mirroring totalitarian behaviors under Biden/Harris. Turns out MinTru isn't the only recent manifestation.

543 Wasn't it just like yesterday that there was a big scandal because of a news report (later proved false) that Russia was helping someone (Syria, Iran, something) target American troops, and it was Trump's fault because he was soft on Russia? So a scandal if Russia helps target US troops, but to be celebrated if US helps target Russian troops, even though we are not at war?

544 I meant to say above, Armalite makes an original AR-10 replica and one or two other makers do as well. It varies enough from the LR-308 developed by DPMS and later Bushmaster enough that bolts, uppers, buffers, gas tubes, and lowers are not compatible. Either buy a complete rifle as an AR-10 or go with the LR-308 which can have some specification differences between makers but not overall incompatibility as with the AR-10 parts.

545 I don't think the M1A is it. It's fun as hell, good looking, hits what I point it at, but I don't think it's a SHTF rifle.

Yeah, I forgot thjat LR-308 is the most common designation or the non-Armalite config "AR-10" hardware. I was stuck on SR-25 for some reason - I think Knight's Armament uses that designation.

553 91 I love my Springfield Scout Squad, but I'm disappointed with its accuracy. It's 2.5 MOA at best. Should I get an AR-10? I've been looking at Aero Precision.

Posted by: bonhomme

Not having precision accuracy shouldn't bother you. Use the rifle for it's time-tested ruggedness and hitting power. In any armed altercation you will mostly be using the quick-kill method. And it'll be much less that 100 yards.

557 Bonhomme,

I have built quite a few rifles with Aeroprecision parts including a LR-308 and they do a good job. Aeroprecision does have a few parts like handguards and uppers that are 'enhanced' and you do have to match those particular handguards to an Aeroprecision enhanced upper. A few other makers do that as well but not in 308

If you want more penetration but to stay within a std. AR-15 platform with decent hunting and performance, you might try looking at the 6.8 SPC. I would say the 6.5 Grendel or 6mm ARC but both of those are much higher on ammo costs. Remington is making 6.8 Spc again and Aimsurplus has it at about $1 per round.

Another is to build an AR-15 in 7.62x39 Russian which is shorter range than in 5.56 but with a heavier bullet. Still plenty of cheap ammo around for that. The only caveat is to buy a few extra stripped bolts for it or any of the 6.8 SPC, 6.5 Grendel, or the 6 mm ARC. All of these hog out the existing 5.56 bolt head to the detriment of strength.

"Reminds me of some Vice President named -gee this sounds familiar- Joe Biden, announcing what a great job our SEAL Team Six had done in assassinating Bin Laden."

I've been thinking of the story I read of SecDef Bob Gates paying a visit to then-National Security Adviser Tom Donilon, a political fixer with no prior experience in national security. Donilon had been bragging to everyone in the press who would listen, SEAL Team Six this, SEAL Team Six that, we sure know how to use the hell out of SEAL Team Six because we're awesome!

Gates leans on his doorway one morning and says cheerfully, "I have a new strategic communications approach to recommend on SEAL Team Six."

"What's that?" Donilon asks.

"Shut the fuck up."

I commend Bob Gates' New Strategic Communications Approach to the unnamed senior national security officials.
