Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report - 4/5/22Republican Maine Sen. Susan Collins, the only Republican to previously announce support for Jackson’s nomination, voted with Democrats in favor of the discharge motion. Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Mitt Romney of Utah also voted to advance Jackson’s nomination. Both will support Jackson’s nomination in a final vote. “My support rests on Judge Jackson’s qualifications, which no one questions; her demonstrated judicial independence; her demeanor and temperament; and the important perspective she would bring to the court as a replacement for Justice Breyer,” Murkowski said in a statement. “While I do not expect to agree with every decision she may make on the Court, I believe that she more than meets the standard of excellence and integrity,” Romney said.Yesterday, we had the transparently clownish musings of McYertle's venal, backbench toady Roy Blunt, who declared how historic it will be to have an incompetent anti-American racialist sit on the Supreme Court, yet will still vote "no" because, reasons. Mostly, if Missouri could ditch an embedded face-hugging Leftist tick like Claire McAsskill, it could if properly motivated eject a worthless RINO like him as well. UPDATE: I forgot that Blunt is retiring. Kind of surprising he didn't join the other three in voting to confirm. At least the fey fraudster Lindsey Graham's pre-digested script where he feigns outrage at the nominee will match his pre-arranged vote against her, and keep too many South Carolinians bamboozled yet again. And yet he did vote to put her on the D.C. Circuit, knowing full well who and what she is. So today, the Alaskan Snowblower, Lisa Murkowski, who got her Senate seat the old fashioned way - nepotism and hinky election shenanigans, joins Susan Collins, the Stain from Maine along with Pee-Air Defecto to stick it to the American people. And more and more, the American people are a people without a nation. These bastards. These filthy, criminal bastards are in my estimation worse than the Leftists. Going back nearly 60 years when Nelson Rockefeller, Bill Scranton and George Romney, the father who spawned Mitt, conspired to sabotage Barry Goldwater, we have their descendants doing everything they can to preserve, protect and defend the dismantling/destruction of America as founded. Their political and in the case of Romney, familial descendants did the same thing to Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump. I may be wrong, but I don't think they quite realize the level to which they've been exposed. Meh, maybe they do and just don't give a shit. But, like the Democrats who wrap themselves in the moldering skin-suit of Lady Liberty as they unleash a scorched earth policy on everything we hold dear, this GOP uttering platitudes about one of the most horrendous people ever to wear a judge's robe, let alone advance to the Supreme Court is beyond the freaking pale. The last person who should be allowed to utter the words "excellence" and "integrity" is Mitt Romney. Those words and what they represent being allowed to be debased by a serpent's tongue within an open sewer that makes Love Canal smell like the Fountain of Youth is a crime against humanity. And now, with literally the last marginally effective barrier against a tsunami of illiterate third world peasants from drowning whatever is left of our culture and society set to sundown - pun definitely intended - later next month, do you really think the GOPe is going to a damn thing to try and stop it? Considering what the GOP, at the behest of the Chamber of Commerce, has already done to the American worker by outsourcing our jobs and heavy industry overseas lo these past 40 or more years, you can expect more highfalutin words like "compassion" to be gang-anal-raped by the likes of Dubya and his cohorts. A bad habit on the establishment Right, here and in other Western countries, is to treat those who have made disastrous electoral decisions as victims. If the choices made by these “victims” turn out badly, as they have in the cases of numerous municipal governments and blue states and with the election of Joe Biden, conservatives carefully avoid accusing the voters. Apparently high crime rates, unnecessary lockdowns, goofy LGBTQ+, antiwhite measures, and galloping inflation should not be pinned on those who cast electoral ballots. If eligible voters in heavily black urban areas endorse corrupt politicians who thrive by playing the race card and ignore rising crime rates, the fault, we are led to believe, is entirely with those who have been elected. The stigma belongs to politicians who have betrayed the “people,” although a majority of the “people” dutifully voted for them. Are we to think that those who have voted more than once for Maxine Waters, Kweisi Mfume, and Bill de Blasio or who ran in droves to rescue Gavin Newsom in the California recall election last year are simply the hapless victims of evil politicians? . . . . . . Are we to pretend that those who vote for race-baiters and unhinged antifascists are not really voting? They are simply the victims of malign forces that bring to power leftist demagogues and crazed social engineers despite the “people”? Although it may be convenient to nurture that fantasy, real majorities often elect utterly loathsome governments, and few of these electoral victories bear comparison to the manipulated outcomes that take place in Third World countries. I’m also not willing to give these voters the benefit of the doubt because they have been under the influence of lying media. Although the leftist media lie through their teeth, one might expect that adults at some point would notice. But even if they don’t, I see no reason to treat voters as the helpless victims of their own choices. Truth is, they are getting the leadership they deserve. And they are suffering the consequences they brought on themselves.I agree wholeheartedly with Paul Gottfried at American Greatness. And while the Democrat base continues to vote for people and policies that have made their lives even more miserable election after election after election, the author neglects to mention the plight of all of us vis a vis the GOPe. The difference is, while some will vote for the GOP because they may like the candidate, many have in the past voted for the GOP knowing that the Democrat was far worse, i.e., the lesser of two evils. But in supporting Marxist SCOTUS justices and open borders, the evils are starting to equal each other. If some of us, like me in 2016 for sure voted against the known horror a Hillary dictatorship would bring, most of us eagerly voted for Trump in 2020 because we saw what at least three years of a Trump presidency brought. It was the first time in my life I didn't hold my nose when I pulled the lever. Whatever happens this November and in 2024, the GOP is dead. It surely expired during Trump's presidency when it did all it could to sabotage the MAGA agenda and for sure in its actions in the run-up to 2020 and then in the aftermath of the coup and on 1/6/21. Of course, with a bit under three years left of the current nightmare, an election that far off may be a moot point given the state of things here and throughout the world. Death to the GOP. Death to the Establishment. Death to Globalism. The End of America: 100 Days That Shook the World available here.

Georgia Election Security Bill:
The bill was gutted by senate committee Tuesday causing widespread outrage. Many senators were very angry at what happened to the bill, but had it not passed, it would be dead for the year. As it is now, the House can amend the gutted version and send it back to the senate. Word is that Gov. Brian Kemp and Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan ordered it gutted. The order came from Duncan at the behest of Kemp. Changes include giving up Chain of Custody for ballots, the GBI having original jurisdiction to investigate elections violations, and giving the green light for large private donations to continue flow into handpicked Georgia counties for partisan advantage. As I understand it, the GOP could have not voted in the judiciary committee, and forced a 60 vote confirmation in the Senate. But they didn't. They took the path that allowed a 51 vote confirmation, with 3 known GOP yes votes.
All you need to know about the GOP was revealed as soon as Trump was elected. They refused to shut dismiss the Senate - and they refused to put back on the floor the simple eight page bill, previously passed in both houses and vetoed by Obama, that would have defunded the vast majority of ObamaCare. Ever wonder - did they go to Obama and work out the deal in advance ? I wonder. I bet Obama did them a "favor" - in return for some other capitulation by the GOP. Morning peeps.
Given the poor selection of judges to SCOTUS over the last couple decades confirming Jackson is not surprising. The court has devolved into a arbitrator of petty disagreements. They've punted or bent over backwards to maintain the status quo on issues dividing the left and right that might have some Constitutional ramifications. ++++ No. Not the voters who vote for these monsters. These are the consequences of their ideologies. What gives me pause, however, is the transparent and craven election fraud that is now impossible to brush off or claim is limited. How many of these monsters were actually legitimately elected? At very least, it is some of them and it might be most of them. I don't know, and I think that's a problem. It's all so corrupt and so monstrous. Those who actually do vote for them - at least 90% of the actual vote total for them, if not 95% or more - are absolutely to blame. But how many of the election victors were actually legitimate? "He made a video talking about whether or not he should paint his nails so the kids will notice. Why is a grown-up spending any time at all trying to get 10-year-olds to notice his gayness?"
*** This shows why that Florida bill doesn't go far enough. This sad loser teacher posted a bunch of TikTok videos, in which he talks about how he repeatedly tried to provoke questions from his students about his gayness. Why do 10-year olds (or any other age kids) need to know what kind of sex this jerk prefers? That has zero to do with what his job is supposed to be. What would be the response if heterosexual teachers were routinely trying to get their students to question them about their sex lives: "hey kids, you may notice that I'm a little tired in class today. It's because I really reamed the old lady last night! My wife/girlfriend just couldn't get enough d*ck last night, and I had to stay up all night satisfying her. But hey, that's life as a heterosexual man sometimes, right?" No teachers should be discussing their sex lives or their sexual preferences or anything like that with young kids. European countries are "confiscating" Russian oligarch yachts, but are not paying the mooring and maintenance fees at the marinas where they are docked. They aren't paying the staff to keep the vessels seaworthy, so in a few months the yachts will be only worth salvage and be thousands in debt to the marinas. And some of them they only think belong to the oligarchs, but they aren't sure.

Posted by: Game Theory at April 05, 2022 07:16 AM (mbKBP) Well, we're currently driving the ship of state over the falls at 95 mph, at least. And accelerating. The results are intolerable now. This again, is what kills me about Republicans. "We can't do that, it might be used against us". Everything that can be used against us is being used now.
I don't think you understand. Just off the top of my head: Border crossings to and from other States in anti-gun states like California or New York where your car is stopped and searched for "contraband" (meaning guns) and anything they find confiscated with possible (probable) criminal penalties. When the Supremes shoot it down: "Nullify!" On the Gun issue: "Heller? Never heard of her. Nullify!" That's just two, and I haven't even thought about it, really. I'm not saying don't do it. I'm saying you're definitely going to want to count that cost before you do. And once you've counted the cost, figure that you've underestimated by at least 33%. Any time someone with any money at all challenges those, they win and (at least for a time) said cities clean up their act. Usually just long enough for them to think up some other way to circumvent the clear intent of any laws - but still, they at least act like they're playing the game. National Divorce is by far the best option. All sorts of agreements can be worked out (if it's relatively amicable) about border crossing requirements, ability to visit each other's national parks or whatever, and even mutual defense (though, let's be honest, it would be Free Market Jesus Land that was doing all the defending - sort of like the US in NATO or the UN). I realize it's not the same thing as rejecting a SCOTUS opinion or decision, but these state more or less defied the government.
The big ticket issues ignored or challenged included border security, health care and school choice. Only Florida and to a lesser degree, Texas are pushing back at the junta. And to be frank, they're weak efforts at best. Nothing like the out and out defiance shown with Trump. Posted by: Martini Farmer at April 05, 2022 07:38 AM (BFigT) 223

If Musk decides to throw his weight around and make changes at Twitter - and I can't imagine that he won't, because otherwise he just boarded a sinking ship - Twitter will die. It has no value to the Complex if it is not a leftist echo chamber and press coordination tool that suppresses all alternatives. More importantly, the establishment Complex cannot tolerate anything even remotely open. Sunlight is the best disinfectant, and it must be avoided at all costs.

I guess we cannot live without Federal money. Oh well, so be it, I guess.
Well... we *could*, but people would have to accept what the real role of government is (hint: it's not making sure you have food on your table) and reduce even State governments back down to the size they ought to be. Which also answers the question above: why would Nullification be different for conservative States like Texas than it is for CA? One, CA doesn't call it Nullification and the media is on their side. Two, even Texas is too heavily dependent upon that sweet Federal cash, and you can bet the Feds (who agree with California's position) would cut off any all funds to the State as well as any organization or person within Texas if we tried it. Now go convince your 60 year old (or older) friends that they should lose their Social Security because Texas doesn't want to give marriage licenses to homosexual couples. Who cares ? If Maryland or California seizes anything from me now, I don't look for the Supremes to do jack-shit about it. Blue States effectively nullify shit whenever they want. The system was replaced with the Emergency Broadcast System, which was renamed to the Emergency Alert System in the late 90s. The key difference between the two approaches is that the EBS/EAS is used for more than just civil defense (weather alerts, etc.) and the EBS/EAS system, by superseding all programming on all channels, has greater reach and does not require you to re-tune your set to receive civil defense instructions. Fundamentally, ignoring an EO (which, by definition, has no force of law), and even a law passed by Congress (because "we're using every avenue to fight this unconstitutional act...") is very different than straight up giving the finger to SCOTUS.
We *shouldn't* live in an oligarchy dependent upon 9 people selected (not by you!) more for their political allegiances than their admiration of and adherence to the Constitution, but we do. Now, the sooner people wake up to that (both the "shouldn't" and "do" parts), the better, and *then* maybe we'll get somewhere. Even then, the swamp needs the BiD treatment. But make no mistake: straight up defying the Supreme Court is a major step that everyone would notice. Even the States and Cities that "defy" SCOTUS today do so with lots of legal "analysis" and "explanation" as to why their defiance is in this super narrow scope that SCOTUD didn't directly address - so they're not so much defying SCOTUS as "working within the framework given." And, yes, it's all lies and misdirection, but it's lies and misdirection that people will accept. And that's not what is being called for here. The problem for them is you can't just go bomb/drone Russia like to can Libya...and calling up the 500K draftees you'd need to go fight will get you impeached...or worse. That's the great thing of insanity fighting reality: reality will always come out in greater numbers, so you can spend a whole lifetime screaming at the sky about it, chanting "but we have so much more to go." So, I was watching RLM's newest review of the latest Picard episodes, and they highlighted the show's insistence on being preachy and unbearable.
One point the show was hammering home was how the rich have the resources to simply fix everything but they don't do it. This happens while the characters are in California in 2024. I find it very curious that the left is dedicated to hating their own rich, living in some kind of fantasy world where if Pierre Omidyar just opened up his wallet all of the mental illness and poverty of the world would simply just vanish. And yet, the show is made by the .1% of the world at the same time, Patrick Stewart probably being worth a bare minimum of ten million dollars himself. And it's all in search of "the conversation". Oh, and Guinan is now a sassy young black woman who hates humanity and Earth because things have never been worse in her hundreds of years of living on Earth, or something. I feel a little queasy that an American Oligarch and not our elected representatives is the person who solves the twitter imbroglio.
More evidence of the complete degradation of our political system and leadership. If the GOPe cared even a whit for the country and voters, twitter censorship would long ago have been brought to heel. Instead we have to rely on a single guy, who happens to have the money to play rough. That poor woman in SC whole got mauled by pit bulls woke up from her coma to discover both arms had been amputated at the shoulder. They had to sedate her and put her back on the ventilator. God have mercy. This just isn't right.
-- This happened not far from me. What happened to her was so ghastly. It's been haunting me ever since. I saw where they had to put her back under sedation because she got very upset when they woke her up and she learned her arms were gone. There is no chance for any prosthetics either, because amputation on both arms went right up to the shoulder. She's also lost a portion of her colon and her esophagus was badly damaged. She has a GoFundMe set up if anyone is interested. Her medical bills will be astronomical. Her name is Kyleen Waltman and her sister Amy Wynne set up the page. no, what he may do (improve free speech at Twitter) is the best option. Creating a new social media space is very difficult; the content that is already extant at Twitter is of high value, and the user base is very large. Most people are not going to be happy about "starting fresh." Really all Musk has to do is Not Be Evil. Just don't suck. Try to rein in the crazy shit. Be a good influence on the malignant kiddies that run amok at Twitter. It's not that hard. And he doesn't want 10 percent for various reasons, but he should be able to get some compadres to buy their own significant-enough stakes that will then team up with him to increase the power of the new "good influence" at Twitter. It's overall good news, of course you guys will make it bad news, but hey we should take the good news and be happy people like Elon still exist and provide hopeful dynamism! I remember when the Clinton Global Initiative scandal first broke, we all presumed they were protected because they were located in NY State, and the NY AG isn't going after a Clinton. I'm all for voters getting what they vote for good and hard but...
Is it the voters' fault for voting for Democrats repeatedly in urban areas or is it massive voter fraud being executed in areas the Democrats control? Turnout over 50% is rare in any suburb but turnout in poverty stricken, high crime urban centres is 125 %--94 % of the total for Democrats and 100 % of the overnight dump for democrats. I don't think urban dwellers vote for this at all and I don't think it's possible for them to vote their way out of it because of who is counting the votes. The best thing the State could do for these crime and povery ridden zones is to take over and do a managed system. It's not like their votes are counted anyway. IMHO.
