Indeed. Despite living the high life on grift from his "non-profits," Evan McMullin still owes his vendors -- those who provided the services and labor for his absurdly failed 2016 "presidential bid" -- hundreds of thousands of dollars, almost $670,000 it is reported, and as far as anyone can tell, hasn't even made some kind of offer to make good.

He's just stiffing them. While continuing to run on his "honor" and "integrity."

There's a petition to encourage this alleged "honorable" and "selfless" civil servant to actually pay his debts to his campaign vendors and staffers.

Evan McMullin ran for president in 2016 and made a lot of promises to voters, campaign staff, and the vendors who worked for his campaign. He didn't keep those promises and 5 years later he still has $669,330.95 of campaign debt.
Now he's moved to Utah and is running for US Senate in 2022. I know he's new to the state so maybe he doesn't know that Utahns believe in living within our means and paying off our debts as soon as possible. As of McMullin's latest campaign finance report, he has $702,000 cash on hand, which is more than enough to do the right thing and pay his debts from the last time he ran for office.

It's still nice in areas. I still love it. But between Colorado literally bussing their homeless here to be our problem, and the Californians coming in and driving up real estate so you can't buy a decent house anymore, it's hard in the wrong parts of town. The suburbs are still great though.

Utah pushed the "silicon slopes" of turning us into the Silicon Valley of the Rocky Mountains. With that comes the housing prices and the lefty ideas. Luckily decent conservatives breed like rabbits so hopefully that outpaces the bad.

We don't pay teachers a lot compared to other states, unless you specialize or are in higher Ed. And the teachers union is strong. But if he has kids, it's still an amazing place to raise a family. Super family oriented communities fiercely protective of kids. It can be hard as an outsider at first, but the good Mormons outweigh the bad. The trick right now is finding a decent priced home.

I was redpilled at around ten when I read a Reader's Digest article about a welfare mother who had saved enough money to send her kid to college. The state found out and she had to pay back all the money plus, I believe, a fine. That told me everything I needed to know about the welfare state.

No. That irritates me more than anything - the "No True Scotsman" argument. A movement is a movement, good and bad. And ideology is an ideology. And yes, you HAVE to paint them all with a broad brush - that's called demographics. Groups are judged by the collective actions of the group. Individuals may vary, and should be judged individually.

As a group - I'll take a hard pass on Mormons. Not my cup of tea. Not in the slightest. I'm sure I'm not theirs either. My individual judgement of Mormons says I'm too dirty and foul to please them while I get things done, and they're too clean and pristine to get anything done to please me.
