Brandon's Handlers Accuse Manchin of Bad Faith in Wake of His "No" On Build Back Bolshevik Bill

On Sunday, Manchin went on Brandon's favorite network, Fox News, to say he was a hard "Hell No" on the Build Back Bolshevik bill.

"If I can't go home and explain to the people of West Virginia, I can't vote for it. And I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation. I just can't. I've tried everything humanly possible. I can't get there," Manchin said. "This is a no on this piece of legislation. I have tried everything I know to do."

The White House is claiming that Manchin promised to support the "framework" of this bill and the "scope" of it, meaning, the dollar amount.

Except the didn't. These are all lies.

But Psaki accuses Manchin of lying, and of betraying Brandon -- and the Democrat cause.

And the poor. And children.

And America.

Basically, Brandon declared war on Manchin, which is good for Manchin, because, as the Taliban can tell you, Brandon sucks at war.

"Senator Manchin's comments this morning on FOX are at odds with his discussions this week with the President, with White House staff, and with his own public utterances," Psaki said. "Weeks ago, Senator Manchin committed to the President, at his home in Wilmington, to support the Build Back Better framework that the President then subsequently announced. Senator Manchin pledged repeatedly to negotiate on finalizing that framework 'in good faith.'"

"On Tuesday of this week, Senator Manchin came to the White House and submitted -- to the President, in person, directly -- a written outline for a Build Back Better bill that was the same size and scope as the President's framework, and covered many of the same priorities. While that framework was missing key priorities, we believed it could lead to a compromise acceptable to all," Psaki continued in her statement. "Senator Manchin promised to continue conversations in the days ahead, and to work with us to reach that common ground. If his comments on FOX and written statement indicate an end to that effort, they represent a sudden and inexplicable reversal in his position, and a breach of his commitments to the President and the Senator's colleagues in the House and Senate."

Manchin did not agree to support a $1.7 trillion bill. He announced months ago that he would support a $1.5 trillion bill. Brandon and the Democrat presented him with a $1.7 trillion bill, so that's already outside what he said he'd support.

But it's worse than that, of course, because that $1.7 trillion price tag was a lie. That number was contrived through transparent horse-sh*t gimmicks like supposedly sunsetting leftwing spending programs obviously intended to go on forever after one or three years.

No actual spending was taken out of the $3.5 trillion bill Manchin objected to -- they just pretended that some of the larger spending plans would only go on for one or three years out of the ten years the budget covered.

Literally no one in DC believes that, and when Peter Doocy asked Jen Psaki if Joe Biden would commit to those supposed sunset limitations on spending, she changed the subject and refused to answer.

So no, Joe Manchin never agreed to this "framework" or this "scope" of spending.

This is a lie. They tried to keep pushing a $3.5 trillion bill at him and hoped that they could pressure him into going along with a fake $1.7 fugazy version of the $3.5 trillion bill.

By the way, part of that pressure campaign consisted of, get this, media hacks acting as a virtual arm of the Brandon White House in hectoring and haranguing Manchin about why he wouldn't Think of the Children and support Brandon's bill.

Below, panelists on ABC "News" let out audible cries of distress as news of Machin's "no" crossed the transom:

So now the White House is calling him a liar and a Hater of America.

Essentially they declared him a Republican:

Psaki said the administration will continue to press Manchin "to see if he will reverse his position yet again, to honor his prior commitments and be true to his word." Her pointed statement ended by noting that Manchin "will have to explain" his choice to families and children around the country.

"In the meantime, Senator Manchin will have to explain to those families paying $1,000 a month for insulin why they need to keep paying that, instead of $35 for that vital medicine," Psaki said. "He will have to explain to the nearly two million women who would get the affordable day care they need to return to work why he opposes a plan to get them the help they need. Maybe Senator Manchin can explain to the millions of children who have been lifted out of poverty, in part due to the Child Tax Credit, why he wants to end a program that is helping achieve this milestone--we cannot."

For his part, Manchin blamed Brandon's puppetteers:

"I just got to the wit's end," he said, adding that White House staff "drove some things and they put some things out that were absolutely inexcusable. They know what it is."

"The bottom line [is] I knew that we could not change, it was never going to change."

I wonder what they stuffed in there that Manchin told them would be a no-go for him.

He also said that the White House strategy of not actually negotiating with him (or Sinema) but instead just pushing the left's preferred bill on him and using pressure to force him into compliance was a bad one:

He also criticized leadership's strategy, arguing they wrongly assumed "surely we can move one person, surely we can badger and beat one person up."

"Well, guess what? I'm from West Virginia. I'm not from where they're from, and they can just beat the living crap out of people and think they'll be submissive, period," Manchin said.

But that's all these people know.

By the way, while I don't think Manchin would flip parties -- what would he gain? -- Brandon & Co. really should be careful about declaring Manchin a Republican, lest he decide to make that official.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Thursday told reporters that "it would be a great idea" for Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) to switch to the Republican Party.

The comment came after McConnell and Manchin had a meeting as negotiations continue for President Biden's Build Back Better plan, The Associated Press reported.

"As you know, he likes to talk," McConnell said of Manchin. "It would not surprise you to know that I've suggested for years it would be a great idea, representing a deep-red state like West Virginia, for him to come over to our side."

"I don't think that's going to happen," McConnell added.

Because the left lost a political clash, you know what time it is: It's time for the usual gnashing of Democrat-Media Complex teeth that our Democracy Has Died and we must abolish the Senate to stop this subversion of democracy from ever happening again.

This prompted an amusing response from Seth Mandel:

Democracy simply cannot be saved if 51 or 52 senators can outvote 48 or 49.

It's how leadership works. They set up the guy who needs moderate cred the most to take the fall. It allows everyone else to talk out of both sides of their mouths, trying to appease everyone, and when the bill fails to even come up for a vote, the only guy being attacked by the left flank is the guy in a state that Trump won by dozens of points last time.

Instead of Kelly, Warnock, Masto, or Hassan who all want to maintain that they're both moderate and progressive to protect themselves during general and primary elections in the next year.

Didn't F. Joe biden throw out the Trump regulations that actually reduced insulin prices? I seem to remember that was one of the first things he did?

Minnesota had a law saying that everyone was entitled to emergency insulin free for one month a year. It was thrown out last week by the MN Supreme Court as an illegal taking.

Senator Manchin pledged repeatedly to negotiate on finalizing that framework 'in good faith.'"

Unsaid by the Dyed-Ginger Seriasl Liar is that the Junta was pressing hard on Manchin to vote yes on something by Friday (before Christmas). By Friday the best Schumer could have is literally a framework and a top-line cost. Schumer, Pelosi, and The Junta would have played all kinds of shenanigans in January to flesh-out the framework with all kinds of sh!t Manchin would be lied to this week about being off the table.

Manchin knows how the Democrats play the framework con. The Junta expected that if Manchin bought into something, anything, this week that he could be forced to go along with the dream BBB package in January. The Junta obviously expected to be able to successfully pressure Sinema after Manchin folding.

Manchin was dead-on with his comment about the Child Credit Tax money being spent of drugs, not food and clothes for kids. The Junta repeatedly pats itself on the back for its increased Child Tax Credit raising over 50 percent of children out of poverty. The correct statement is that the increased Credit moved 50 percent of families with children above the poverty income line. The kids are not directly paid one red cent. The credit increase bill puts no restrictions or requirements on how the parent(s) spend the extra money. All spent on drugs? No. All spent on items and food for the children? Also no.

I've mentioned mine in a gun thread before and I think a number of morons have them, and there wasn't a single bad thing said. I bought mine (Cattleman IIRC) back when they were still under $200. It infuriates my buddy with an authentic Colt because it shoots and operates better than his $1500 or so gun.

I would buy another in a heartbeat. I would absolutely buy one as a shooter if I had a collectable in the safe.

394 BBB absolutely was a real bill and it's the same sort of bill that has been proposed in other countries around the world. It is the program put together by the globalists at the World Economic Forum who literally named the concept Build Back Better.

It differs in different country depending on the environment but they all are focused on globalism and socialism. It's not a coincidence.

397 Yeah, I just shoot the specials too - have a couple boxes of the mag rounds just to have. Honestly, that's the last GD gun I'd be wanting to use indoors! I'd like to see somebody "conceal" carry that sucker.

The guy I bought mine from threw in a gorgeous western style holster. I suppose if I had a ranch I'd throw that sucker on in case I came across any ornery bears or moose on the back 40.

I have an uncle (once removed) in Montana who had it as his EDC, but he was a guide and did a lot of horseback riding in bear country. He let me shoot it once when I was young.

I'm very happy with mine, but it's mostly a safe queen. I also have a Blackhawk in 30 carbine, that's fun too. Ammo is cheaper too.

I don't know about that, the Democrat Party has largely been the defacto ruling party for the last 100 years.

The GOP has only really been a factor since 1995, and have not really delivered anything of lasting value.

If the Donks simply moderated, say, 10-15pct, they could relegate the GOP to backbencher status fairly easily.

But the Donks are evil and evil does what evil does.

IF.

but they don't have the ability. The US has had a couple periods of dominance; Republicans pretty much ran everything with a few small breaks from 1865 - 1932, Dems ran everything with small breaks from 1932 - 1980, and now the parties have traded off for 40 years while all the deep problems have festered. To me, it looks like it's time for another big blowout of events (some combination of 1861 - 1865 and 1929 - 1932) and then the winning party should control everything without much challenge for the next 50 or 60 years.

Yep. Somehow he and the black Antifa/BLM guy (John Sullivan) were hanging out in the same crowd telling people that they needed to go inside the buildings. And then that same John Sullivan was inside and made the video recording of the only person who was shot that day. What are the odds?

But the worst was seeing the video of the apolitical workers and their methodical removal of the barricade fencing so that people wouldn't know that they would be trespassing on what was always a public space. Add the clearly photographed but still at large director on the scaffold whose only directions were to enter the buildings, enter the buildings, enter the buildings...

It was all a setup.

But they found that about once every ten minutes or so, their error correction process would blow up. Go FUBAR. Turned out it was cosmic rays and another natural radiation.

THis problem appears to be a show-stopper. So, their very expensive quantum computer may turn out to be nothing more than an extremely expensive radiation detector.

474 >>The Left never sleeps and will get around to it eventually. Biden is a throw down president and this is going to plan. The real action for them, the future, is at the Southern border and bodes I'll for liberty.

No, the don't. And the truth is most still aren't aware of who exactly this new brand of socialists that have taken over the Democrat party really are. They didn't listen when we talked about Soros taking over the local DAs and called us conspiracy theory nuts. And now they are suffering.

They better start listening now because this is real and they are coming for the whole country and as you said they won't stop until they are stopped. This is an international movement which is why the globalists around the world not just the ones here at home reacted as if Dracula was elected when Trump too office. This is just a reprieve, they'll regroup and try again.

475 What if you can tie them in a knot or in a bow, and throw them over your shoulder like a Continental soldier?

I thought she was going to be the AOC of the Senate. She is more supportive of Middle to Right side of the Road Politics than McCain or the Flake.

I know she will break my heart, but at least when she supports the left, it is not a stab in the back like McCain, Flake, or our current millstones like Romney, Sassy, MoreCokeSki, and the thing from New England.

477 You should have seen this guys sideball. He was wearing a jock strap and this thing looked like a huge hairy peach pit.
The other one was small though, kind of like a walnut.

478 They were always commies from the baby boomers on down- they were just better at hiding it, aside from a few notable exceptions.

Yes. They were Nazi-lovers until the Nazis became the enemies of the US. They were Commies but hid it while the USSR was the enemy of the US.

479 Some folks have been talking about stripping Manchin of his committee chair, but Schumer isn't going to do it.

He won't lose it for more than five minutes, as that chairmanship would be the price McConnell will gladly pay to strip *all* of the other Democrats' leadership positions up to and including Schumer's "Majority Leader."

(Note how the Democrats insisted on sharing leadership roles the last time it was 50/05 in '02-04 and now they insist on all the power?)

Only a fool didn't see this coming from a million miles away.

481 Some gal leaned forward in front of me once and showed top boob. She asked if I was looking at her boobs. I said "Well yeah!". Told her there was top boob, just cleavage actually, side boob and under boob, which is rare. But one hasn't seen boob until the nipple is seen. She seemed to understand.

482 "I don't think Manchin would flip parties -- what would he gain?"
Gain? Everything..the entire senate majority would flip, leadership and committees all change, HE would be the "Kingmaker" as well as "Mr Bi-Partisan", could engineer a whole flurry of passed legislation, passed on a bi-partisan basis...MORE passed and accomplished than the entire partisan Schumer Period. Guaranteed re-election back home.
Biden GONE.
Long Term: At first a chapter, later only a page, but even a generation from now a full paragraph in nearly every History book. What every lifetime politician dreams of.
IF he is like most senators he also dreams of a Presidential run...this gives him a platform as "The Guy Who Gets Things Done"

483 At least 1/3 of the electorate considers themselves "Independent", even all of the recent polls have included more independents than repubs...on parity or close to Democrats samples. Dems have LOST over half of their Independent support.
Manchin can run as an Independent and monkey wrench the entire historic two party system, making a bigger splash and likely more Fame than even Perot.
One that might actually win.
