The Morning Report - 12/8/21

kindofdragbide.jpg

Good morning, kids. Wednesday and while the clueless, deranged imbeciles are steering the ship of state off the edge of a flat earth, there is one thing that I do not want to ever get lost. Scores of your fellow citizens - ordinary, law-abiding, hard working and G-d fearing - remain incarcerated in horrendous conditions, subjected to physical and psychological abuse by real criminals and their government-controlled gaolers, for merely exercising their first amendment rights last January 6th. 11 months behind bars as political prisoners.

Whatever other insanity is going on, whether with our enemies abroad, or the tyrants right here in our own country - and I will touch on those subjects in a bit since there are points of intersection on this Venn diagram of doom - this above all else, at least for me, is the sine qua non that defines the times we live in. For these people to be persecuted like this, in this country by those we at one time in the not too distant past thought had shared the same values and come up in the same system proves beyond any doubt that America as it was or at least as we had imagined it no longer exists. Over time, things change, culture of course changes and laws (for better or worse) change but the one thing that was supposed to remain constant is the essential nature of what it means to be an American. The sense of commonality and common purpose, despite often diametrically opposed views on issues and their resolution, is what kept society moving forward and kept the peace.

Gone. Goodbye. As stated, nothing else underscores that tragic in-your-face reality than Americans held captive in the Garland Archipelago. The cherry on top was Congressman being directly and capriciously refused access - twice - to see these people over the course of these interminable months. Finally, Louie Gohmert, Marjorie Taylor-Greene, Matt Gaetz and Paul Gosar were allowed into a compound of the Garland Archipelago.

Greene and Gohmert (and their respective staffs) finally got to tour the D.C. jail where the J6 inmates are held, though the jail staff DID try to end the tour of the jail before the reps got to meet the political prisoners.

"What is there to hide?" Gohmert pressed. "The complaint has been that they've been treated
differently than the other detainees. I thought tonight we were going to find out."

At that point, the tour had already lasted two hours and Greene and Gohmert hadn't yet met a single J6 inmate. After an 11-minute discussion, the tour went forward.

Greene and Gohmert met with roughly 40 J6 inmates, in what Greene described as a noticeably older part of the prison, which appeared to have not been updated recently, unlike the rest of the prison.

The political prisoners cheered as they met Gohmert and Greene. Some cried and all were visibly shaken (they were the only inmates on the tour to cry). They lined up to shake hands with Greene and Gohmert and began chanting "U-S-A! U-S-A!" . . .

. . . Greene's report is disturbing and damning. It highlights the brutal and unconstitutional treatment of J6 prisoners at the hands of Biden's legal system. J6 inmates have been beaten. The prisoners complain of chemicals and pubic hair in their food.

The conclusion to her report starts with the following:

The congressional visit to the D.C. jail on November 4 unquestionably proved that there is a two-track justice system in the United States. This two-tiered system is not based on race, violence, or conviction of crime, but politics.

The findings of the report, as well as the rest of this article will disgust and enrage you. At least it damned well better. The one thing that is not mentioned is that the only reason these people are being incarcerated in the first place is because of what I believe is a Democrat Party/DOJ coordinated plot to use the planned peaceful protest rally of January 6th to create a Reichstag Fire incident. It was leftist stooges and quite probably FBI plants if not actual agents themselves dressed in MAGA gear that breached the Capitol Building on January 6th. The unfortunate folks who followed them in, none of them doing anything more than gawking at the drapes, taking selfies and leaving post-it notes on Pelosi's desk are now being made examples of.

Worse, the Capitol Police sadistically beat Roseanne Boyland to death and shot Ashli Babbit. Two unarmed women who posed zero threat to anyone. Whatever other nightmare scenarios are going on abroad and at home, and for sure they are nightmare scenarios, this for me is the bitter end. And all of it stems from the 2016 and 2020 elections. Specifically, the American people trying to stop the trajectory this nation has been on since the end of the Second World War and the reaction by the progeny of those who set us on it.

For decades, the differences between liberal and conservative has slowly (then all at once) disintegrated to the point where we are no longer debating issues. Indeed there is no longer a debate as no debate is to be countenanced by a political/cultural entity that has overthrown the nation, hijacked the key pillars of government, the private sector and society at large and declared all opposition to it as not merely illegal but an evil that is to be eradicated from the face of the earth. Naturally, it has more impact in the original German, but it's got groove, it's got meaning in the current translation in Jive.

We are so polarized that even assuming elections going forward do not have the influence of Dao-Min Yen and overflowing Atlanta toilets, on what basis are we to find a common ground with an implacable and often quite insane enemy that deems the very ground we exist on as stolen and illegitimate with everything built on it, literally and figuratively, as poisoned?

A teacher at a Pennsylvania high school who was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Education Association (NEA), the nation's largest labor union which represents almost three million employees, mostly teachers, reportedly posted a Facebook message that people who obtained religious exemptions so they could remain unvaccinated for [Chinese] COVID-19 should lose their jobs, get sick, and perhaps die, adding that the GOP should take the "guns they profess to love" and start shooting the unvaccinated individuals.

Mollie Paige Mumau reportedly wrote on Facebook:

Screw this guy and screw them all who are all about hiding beyond religious exemptions because they don't want anybody to tell them what to do. People tell you what to do all the time, and you do it. This is such BS. He and his ilk deserve whatever comes their way, including losing jobs, getting sick, and perhaps dying from this virus. But in the meantime, he's going to put all the people around him in danger. I don't know why the GOP doesn't take those guns they profess to love so much and just start shooting all of their constituents who think this way. It would be quicker and ultimately safer than putting me and my friends and family at risk.

The Daily Caller contacted the General McLane School District (GMSD) in Pennsylvania. Sarah Grabski, director of communications and administrative services for GMSD, confirmed the district did employ a woman named Mollie Mumau at General McLane High School.

"Grabski said the district could not legally discuss any personnel actions right now but that Mumau is not currently in its buildings."

Mumau, or is it Mau-Mau (or even Mao Mao?) has left the building. Mostly on fire along with your children's brains. At least she didn't come out and call on her fellow leftists to start the shooting, but instead urged "the GOP" to shoot its own constituents. Meh, considering the mentality of fey fraudsters like Lindsay Graham vis a vis January 6, I would not put it past far too many GOP politicians to think this Mau-Mau psycho is on to something.

Meanwhile, in another part of the forest, a feeble, crooked pervert with the mental capacity of a glue-huffing geoduck is supposedly standing up to Vladimir Putin as the latter is about to roll over the rest of Ukraine it didn't swipe from Obama. While inept boob Jake Sullivan is threatening Putin with a strongly worded letter to the NY Times, you have to wonder what's worse; drawing a red line in the sand and doing nothing as Putin's army gobbles up territory so as to destroy whatever scintilla of credibility American foreign policy still has with our allies and foes, or worse, if the puppet masters of the Klain/Kalorama Known Kommittee actually blunder us into a shooting war with the Russians just to save face and distract us at home from the disastrous domestic destruction.

On top of that, you have to wonder just how ready our armed forces are considering what the aforementioned jug-eared dog-eating bastard did to it during his reign of error.

By the time Barack Obama left office, every branch of the military was smaller than it had been on September 11. But the change in size concealed the true impact of America's most left-wing president in undermining our national security and weakening us in the face of our enemies.

"I've got a pen, and I've got a phone," Obama famously boasted. He used the pen to unleash a blizzard of executive orders and memorandums. Some led to outraged protests, but some of his most devastating penned assaults on our nation's military flew under the radar.

One of those took place during the end of his last year in office. His memorandum, "Promoting Diversity and Inclusion in the National Security Workforce", created the woke military of the Biden administration by putting identity politics, diversity quotas, and political indoctrination at the heart of the military's mission.

Obama had always resented the military. Even former General McChrystal, an Obama loyalist fired for describing his boss a little too aptly in the presence of a Rolling Stone reporter, described him as "uncomfortable and intimidated" by generals. But Obama's parting shot at the military cut the generals down to size by transforming them into community organizers.

His order redefined diversity as the military's "greatest asset" and reinvented national security as a system for maximizing employment diversity by race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and every identity politics metric, but not the military metrics that truly mattered, readiness, competence, and a willingness to wage war in defense of the homeland. . .

. . . Obama didn't just leave the military smaller in size, but smaller in spirit, its leadership class no longer dedicated to national security, but to the identity political agendas of the radical Left.

By Obama's second term, male Army ROTC cadets were being forced to march in women's high heels. The humiliating woke rituals, whose purpose is not the stated one of inclusion, but of exclusion, of demeaning and destroying the morale of the traditional fighting man, continue to hollow out the military readiness of armed services waging a culture war against themselves.

Spot on as usual by the esteemed Daniel Greenfield. But I would say one thing that he leaves out is, the American military may be inept when it comes to actual combat except for one thing: you better believe that the recruits and the cadres in uniform, be it BDUs or girdles and heels are being drilled incessantly to combat a real enemy: WE THE PEOPLE.

Look what happened to the poor folks in the Garland Archipelago. Look what is happening in Australia. You better believe that just as your kids are being mind-raped to hate America as founded, our recruits are being taught the same damned thing.

And that, gentle reader, is why we have a Second Amendment.

14 "[Andrew Breitbart] once said, very adroitly, that politics is downstream from culture. Our culture, we don't eat the same breakfast cereal anymore. We don't read the same newspapers. We don't consume the same news. We're divided in every way, shape, and form in our culture, and thus it translates downstream into our politics. I personally think -- and not that I'm hoping, I'm just an observer -- but I think the United States is heading toward a breakup. It's already happening."

Pearl Harbor Historian Wonders If America Can Stay Together Through Its Third Century

It has been happening at least since (1) the beginning of Fox News Channel (when it was actually competing against the liberal narrative of the rest of the mainstream media) and (2) the beginning of the internet, specifically, the beginning of conservative blogs.

Once the monopoly on news reporting was broken by FNC and conservative blogs, ironically that was the start of the division in the country. Access to info different than the "official narrative" has divided the country. I guess ignorance was bliss, holding the country together.

With all due respect sir, Ashli Babbit was not shot in the back. She was shot in the front, by a guy standing in another room with a door between him and her. While two armed capitol policemen were standing next to her.

She was murdered under the thinnest veneer of being a 'security threat'.

They did not "miss out". They were out there in the media telling people that the Trump Administration was spreading "misinformation" about COVID and telling people that it was "racist" to consider the virus/disease dangerous and that people should all go out and celebrate Chinese New Year in February (which was after the impeachment stuff ended) and, while you're at it, hug a Chinese person to prove your non-racist-ness. And every single person in the nation's "healthcare" industry said "masks do not work", even St. Fauci himself.

Now, we find out that the CCP and the billionaire class have purchased most/many of the farmland and the means of production. Twitter is a tool. Some people use that tool for stupid shit and some people use it for good. I am of the latter group.

I have no time to visit 100 different websites of people to get information every day. But Twitter allows me to create a list of 100 accounts of people for politics, sports, miscellaneous, etc. Every day I can click on my lists and scroll through the posts of all those people and have all my news from a hundred different people in one area. 53 Omg, it is a sad, laughable joke that the GOP is always chasing whatever fringe leftist faction of the day is...to the complete exclusion of their own frigging base. It's beyond parody. Courting the trannies? Are you kidding me!? The 1% of the 1% of freakish voters in America? This is what you're zeroing in on? While the actual conservative base spent 4 years watching you not give one good damn for this country or our own ideals. F*cking worthless. Absolutely f*cking worthless.

Posted by: Lady in Black at December 08, 2021 07:54 AM

Don't blame this on the GOPe. Blame it on the GOP base. The base refuses to take away their support from the party. The GOPe has been doing this shit since the Bush 43 Administration. Yet, despite all the leaders in the party spitting in the face of the base for at least 2 decades now, the base doesn't leave to form a new party.

That is what it is going to take. But for at least 10 years now, no conservatives of influence have suggested it. Everyone talks about continuing to try to reform the party. Yeah, doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results? Insanity.

I insist on pointing out Cruz and Paul's stance because it perfectly illustrates the utter gutlessness and uselessness of the GOP, with (as JJ pointed out above) a handful of brave exceptions.

Has Cruz said anything about the January 6 prisoners? Has Paul? Have they done anything about them?
Because if they have, then I've certainly missed it. Holding American citizens in a gulag for the crime of peacefully protesting an election outcome ought to be a lawless action that galvanizes the GOP into shutting Congress down and bringing the whole country to a screeching halt until they are released, but apparently tweeting SIC BURNNZ is more important to our feckless, mincing, bought-off 'representatives.'

She also didn't explain how the evil "unvaxed" are a threat to her and her family, but the vaxed, who can and do transmit the virus just as easily, are not.

Even the government is not trying to pretend anymore that the vax prevents people from getting or spreading the virus. They just say that the vax reduces the severity of the virus when you get it, so people should get the vax so that hospitals are not overwhelmed.

But people like this ludicrous woman need somebody to focus their ire on, so that they're not directing it where it really belongs, which is on themselves. She's a silly, gullible, fearful fool, and she wants someone to blame for the fact that she feels afraid. What I mostly blame the base for is giving absolutely no thought of any kind to what kind of boob they're actually electing or reelecting. Overall, these Rs are not held accountable for the very votes and agendas they bring. In many cases, they're the mirror opposite of what the base supports and wants, yet voters remain blind as bats as they repeatedly support politicians who have been very harmful to those very ideals we uphold. Lindsay Graham is but one example of countless others. The R party could be reformed from within. But it would take an aware populace that is acutely tuned in to what's going on. Therein lies the problem.

Sadly, this is a bit narrow. You could walk away with this assessment, but if you're paying attention it is going to be very clearly very much worse than that.

It is, as Tom Nichols feared (though in a stupid, meaningless and wrong way) the actual death of expertise. The experts aren't. The expert professional class are no better than anyone else, no more knowledgeable, no smarter, no more honest. The only thing preventing the experts from being useless is that they're made worse than useless by their corruption, power lust, entrenchment and control.

These people are all corrupt, stupid and incompetent - and a non-trivial subset are also demonstrably evil. What this has been is the death of technocracy. The technocrats know it, which is why they've spent the last two years pivoting to outright arbitrary tyranny.

Not who we are. So long as the GOP will not play tit-for -tat, they are going to get owned.

Watch - the Dems are going to kick Boebert off the committees, just like they did MTG. And all McCarthy can do is say, well, we might think about doing that to Dems if we are in power.

WRONG ANSWER DOOFUS!!! The correct play is to say if you go after Boebert, we are going to kick out Schiff, and the Squad, and Swalwell, and Nadler, and.... when we win.

I disagree. There are plenty of cases where athletes are fools, yet their foolish acts are forgiven or covered up, because coaches want to take advantage of their talent. From the high school level to college and then the pros.

Take a look at Jameis Winston and Johnny Manziel for two examples I can think of off the top of my head. Their foolishness was forgiven and they both made it to the pros. Manziel is still a millionaire, due to being drafted in Round 1, even though he was a complete failure in the NFL during his "career".

For the last 20 years, they've watched the US descend into dumbassery, led by our self proclaimed gutless and feckless 'elite'. 148 Regarding ideology, I've come to a point where i believe the following is the best way of looking at things:

- there is Liberalism, and there is literally everything else

Of course there are infinite shades between Liberalism and State Collectivism, and there are countless ways of instituting a Liberal government, but in "Current Year", those are more or less irrelevant. Any system that isn't a doggedly guarded individual Liberty, won by true popular sacrifice in fighting those who would steal it, will eventually decay into a totalitarian collectivist State. The details of implementation don't make all that much difference. You belong to yourself and you are free with various responsibilities, or you don't and you are a slave with no responsibilities. There is no excluded middle.

There is a hospital somewhere here in Michigan which got on the news originally, because they reported they were overwhelmed during the early days of the Plandemic. The media asked if they could go interview them. This hospital and its employees were then exposed as sending out their employees to their cars to get in line outside the hospital to show that "we're so busy we have cars lined up around the block!"

The excuse I hear a lot is that the majority of people in the hospitals are just keeping quiet in order to keep their jobs. But between this shit and the "dancing nurses" and "heroes work here" bullshit, I've lost all respect for anyone working in the industry.

162 For decades, the differences between liberal and conservative has slowly (then all at once) disintegrated to the point where we are no longer debating issues. Indeed there is no longer a debate as no debate is to be countenanced by a political/cultural entity that has overthrown the nation, hijacked the key pillars of government, the private sector and society at large and declared all opposition to it as not merely illegal but an evil that is to be eradicated from the face of the earth.
++++
There isn't a debate, but there are two parallel debates. One is, "All of this has gone too far. What should be done to try to haul it back?" The other is, "None of this has gone too far enough. What should be done to push it all further?"

You cannot have a policy debate without some sort of shared core of principles and ideas. If you don't agree on the fundamental basics - like "equality" or "law" as examples - you can't debate policies. The policies have no common framework or foundation. We have arrived at the point where the two major umbrella factions in the West no longer share even a single basic principle.

Its a little more complex than that. Ukraine is made up of Western Ukrainians and Eastern Ukrainians and a third Russians (imported by Stalin during the Holdomor). The Western Ukes want to be in NATO and EU. The Eastern Ukes see no benefit and only pain in joining NATO/EU. The Russians (imports) generally identify with Russia and strong leadership. There is no real strong leadership in Europe driving for Ukraine unity. As a matter of fact, Germany and France don't support Ukraine joining the EU. France has its own problems with North Africans and Germany has tied itself to Russian oil and gas. Our mouthing off about Russia, Russia, Russia, is, again, a deflection from the real show China.

186 MP3, if you have the nerves of steel to do it (lol), try a small glass of Apple Cider Vinegar with a spoonful of honey and a bit of water. At least for me, it's a miracle worker to help my coughing subside.

187 Thanks. My PCP recommended a Symbicort inhaler, but my pharmacy doesn't have it in stock. I use albuterol anyway, but am going to have to pressure my doctor into getting on the pharmacy's ass about this. I'm mostly over it (Z-pack, mucinex and flu meds), but this constant racking cough is making me even more of a pissy asshole than usual.
===============
After my bout of covid in October I was left with persistent bronchitis. The ZPack was upgraded to a horse pill antibiotic for another 7 days, but (as suggested) the inhaler is the real help. I am still using two inhalers, albuteral and symbacort. I'm nearly there. No cough now, and breathing is nearly back to normal. The worst part is alcohol irritates my breathing for some reason, but I power through.

Exactly. I had a mini-rant about this yesterday. Over the last, say, 60 years we've had more than enough laws put on the books to cover almost any situation we currently face. Enforce the laws on the books, or get the archaic ones off the books. That's what GOP legislatures should be doing. Say no to everything else.

Serious answer.
100, each no more than one page single-space 12 font Times New Roman.

If you need a new law you have to choose which old law to remove.

At no time can there be more than 100 laws. Anything else is up to the states.

202 Hey, all,

Left home early this am in the heavy fog to gas up the big Buick ahead of the next price jump. $2.99 for 87 E10 gas and $3.69 for E0, w/ .06/gallon off for my Exxon card. I did 4 gallons of each. The annoying thing was that the first pump I pulled up to was out of service, and I had to restart the car and pull around to another. This particular station is known for this and for employees who speak as little English as they can.

I go there *only* because it's the single Exxon I know (close by, anyway) with E0. There's a big truck stop about 2 mi. farther on -- but their E0 (while being 90 octane, I admit) is over $4.00 now.

A car rides better with a full tank, don't you think?

This. Simply enforcing the laws on the books would go a long way to improving things in this country. This is why I was so aggravated back during the Bush 43 Administration when they talked about "immigration reform" and wanting news immigration laws. There was ZERO need for that. Simply enforce the laws on the books and the issue is resolved.

My suggestion to you: eliminate mucous-producers from your diet. For me, that is dairy and fruit (weird, i know).
Eliminate sugar (and all processed carbs, if you can), which creates inflammation. You want those inflamed tissues to settle down.
Eliminate alcohol, except for a bit of wine.

I have not been active since moving, but I used to go to a lot of symphony and ballet. It was a pretty mixed crowd, at least in Denver. Majority communist, of course, but much more ideologically diverse than your typical school. And people who frequent things like the theater or the symphony tend to have some spare coin to rub together and aren't particularly interested in putting up with a bunch of horseshit when they go to see a play or hear a concert.

They won't much care if you pollute the newsletter with woke nonsense, but if you touch the product then you're going to hear about it. And since you're dealing in luxury goods, you're on a very short leash.

Yeah, I was thinking about that yesterday. It wasn't too long ago that we had an actual attack on our shores. People were scared for an actual reason.

Now, not even 100 years later, people in the U.S. are cranking up some very similar things to what we went to war to stop, and are fearful of literally nothing. They will use their fear of zero deaths worldwide for the next stage.

Yep, it *may* generate immune response against COVID-19, but I have read that it weakens one's immune system overall in general going forward.

So, for *possibly* a month or two, one *might* have immunity against COVID-19 (but which "variant(s)" of it?), but for the rest of their lives, they have a weak immune system. Which means millions upon millions of people are going to be getting sick with numerous illnesses and diseases and cancers... and they'll blame all of it on "COVID-19" to keep the Plandemic going indefinitely.

Yep, and funny how that works out perfectly for the "healthcare" industry. A patient cured (or with a strong immune system) is a customer lost. Playboy had some world class photographers setting up those centerfold photo shoots. If you examine some of the pictures in detail the girls are actually reclined to some degree to have the boobs with the exact amount of perkiness. With the proper lighting and soft focus airbrushing was unnecessary, although during the printing from negative some 'wanding' (probably not the right term but an action I would perform with a piece of clear 10% screen attached to a straw which was kept moving over a blemish to make it disappear) was performed.
