Ohio has had term limits on their Statehouse Reps and State Senators since 1995. The great "outing" of Democrats that year swept the Republicans into power in the Legislature. Enacting term limits, and the legislature has remained Republican since then. No more crony stay forever Republicans. Our local State Rep, Larry Householder, tried to get back in after his three 2-years terms (and he was a crook) and got thrown out for his shenanigans with the subsidy legislation to keep 2 nuke plants open in Ohio.
The legislature has been consistently MORE conservative than governors (Kasich and Dewine especially), and largely kept them under control.

The Federal government doesn't hire contractors directly, they do it through "contracting companies". Technically, the contractor works for the "contracting company", not the Feds, which is why they don't count against the hiring limit.
I'm sure there is no graft in hiring contracting companies. OTOH, you can actually get rid of contractors, as opposed to Federal workers, who are basically unfirable once they have completed their one-year probationary period.

I don't think either age or term limits are needed. Just make it such that anyone who runs for, or is elected to, political office is barred from increasing their personal wealth during that time. In addition, they and everyone in their family will have to provide their tax returns to the public every year.
Also, get rid of lifetime benefits from elected positions. These are supposed to be civil servant positions. Yet they have it setup where they get paid by the taxpayer for life just for winning an election. No healthcare, no retirement fund. Everyone simply gets a salary for the years in office and that's it.

Also, make it such that every elected official has to abide by the same policies as everyone else (i.e. Obamacare, kids have to go to public schools, etc.). Or setup something like what Bill Ford, Jr, did when Ford Motor Company went through their bankruptcy in 2002 or so. He went without a salary and only had shares in the company stock. So he would only make money if the company did well.
Same goes for elected officials. Set it up such that if the economy is not meeting certain targets, they don't earn their salary.

I advocate for strategic voting, which means NOT casting a lesser of two evils vote. Given the right circumstances, I think voting in a hard core leftist is the right thing to do, if it is needed to get a RINO out.

The only help Israel would need from the Gulf states is for them to sit on the sidelines. Iran's military won't stand up for long in a head to head with Israel. Israel has different rules of engagement than the rest of th world. Restraint, at least initially, is not in their dictionary. The mullahs know this. He jumped the coffee table. He was banged and bruised. The a few weeks ago, my mother did something similar. She was a asleep in her rocking chair with a little step stool thing in front that uses to prop up her feet. She dreamed she was being attacked, and started kicking. She ended up cutting her shin by kicking at the stool.

My parents are fighting the ChiVi now. So far so good. Seems to be like a badflu\cold that doesn't follow a typical pattern. The symptoms seem randomized. Fever and aches following general cold symptoms.

Well a lot of them do seem to be participation awards (jamboree patch). Yeah you showed up, have a ribbon. Not that i would ever belittle somebody's military service since I never served, but when I look up a lot of these ribbons it seems like most are "time in" type stuff. The first row or 2 seems to have the serious shit if there is any. I see the combat infantry badge, meaning you are actually engaged in ground combat with an enemy, but with this guy is it anything more than some dumb fuck shot at his motor pool. You don't know. The bronze star, well that say at least something.

Caesar got his start as a Marian. Gauis Marius was a threat in a sense to the old Roman republic but...not really in an ideological sense. He was incredibly popular and was elected to the office of consul 7 times which was...bad form. He also was willing to relax rules around citizenship that the rest of the Roman elite were dubious about.
But...they'd done all the before earlier with the Latins and other groups anyway.
When Caesar came into his own he wanted to be the top dog in Rome - but the opportunity for him to become dictator wasn't an ideological quest - it was, like Marius before him, the result of a very talented and ambitious man hitting the limits of how far you could go in Rome.
Augustus then later subverted the Republic to become dictator himself, but by that point the Republic was done anyway.

I know of one young girl who committed suicide due to China virus lockdowns. That is the only casualty that I know of directly connected to China virus. Possibly one heart attack, age 50, from the jab.

I had something last year. Massive lung pain when I breathed deep. Lost taste and smell. No fever. The immediate care said I did not need to get tested for Chinese Lung AIDS because I had no fever. Same supervisor on days had the exact same symptoms. CLA. He was in the hospital for 5 days. He weighs about 150 pounds more than I do.

I had already read about the Russian flu epidemic of the 1890's that has mutated down to the status of perpetual cold virus today but Denninger did post some references that I had not come across yet.
He did have another somewhat hopeful post about clearing post-vaxx issues after about 6-12 months. Apparently one of the newer reports of side effects is shingles (even if actually vaccinated for it).

Over half the population say, were going to get exposed to the virus, sooner or later. The idea with "2 weeks to flatten the curve" was to prevent a huge slug of people coming down with it at the same time. Maybe 40 percent or so would actually contract it. Again, no way around it.
But then all the Karens and assorted nutbars somehow got the notion that they had to prevent exposure for the rest of their life and started microwaving their mail and spraying lysol on their groceries, and living in their basement till a vaccine was developed. Only then could we get back to "normal". They believed, and maybe still believe, that actually contracting the Chicom flu is an automatic death sentence.
I've no idea how this happened, but it is an utter debacle of epic historical craziness a failure of elected "leaders" and the medical community.

Well what I don't like is it don't come with any consumables. It don't even come with a tig torch, or regulator, and it can't do aluminum. The other thing is it has no pedal control for the tig. There are machines out there that come with all the goodies for not a whole lot more, so you gotta weigh the price of those compared to the yes with then having to by all the stuff. There are some other issues that might make the learning curve a bit steeper for a novice. The one interesting thing is it's a lift tig, not a scratch start.

The reviews I did like, were as to the quality of the weld output and such. What the machine does, it does seem to do very, very well. But yeah, I'd like also to be able to do the aluminum, as I have several projects in mind for such.

Yeah, the no aluminum thing is kind of a deal killer for me. It does seem to lay some nice welds. I was on their site and with the discounts its only $352, and I looked up the prices of their tig torch, and that was only $50, so that puts you at $400 with the torch, and I think the regulator was under $40, so I guess it's still cheap enough. It has no provisions for a spool gun though. I guess its an ok machine, but its not a complete machine because of the no aluminum thing.

Feel free to email me with any suggestions as to a Complete Machine. I'm not adverse to the Buy Once, Cry Once paradigm. Gas-wise, I've got a complete Oxy/Acl set, with hoses, tips n' cutting torch, but I'll still be needing to buy a set of medium sized bottles. Mini-plumbers bombs are too small, and I'll never really need the 5' tall full sized tanks.

Well I'm still researching that myself. I'm kind of an eccentric asshole, so I would rather have a machine for mig, and one for tig, rather than a do-all type machine. It just seems that things work better when they are made to one thing and do it great. Still, I would actually like to find the ultimate multi-process welder just to save room.
