Keep in mind the demo that got the shot is significantly older and naturally dies more. To get a real picture of the numbers, which I'm sure are bad, you need at a minimum to compare small age groups (not 10-59 as I saw last week). Then you also need to find matched cohorts. Unvaxxed 70+ are almost certainly too sickly to get the shot in the first place, so they are not a viable control group for vaxxed 70+.
Unfortunately, at this point, there is no control group.

I believe the problem with that graph that was making the rounds is that it didn't correct for the over-representation of older folks in the vaccinated group. Once you do that, however, the death rate is essentially identical, which still is an indictment of the shot.

As various points I've gotten into the weeds on things like this...but you have to take a step back.
The FNM says that COVID is the #1 cause of death in the first world, and that the clot shot reduces your risk of death from 80-95% depending on the talking head.
And we are here discussing how a 2X increase in deaths for those that have gotten the shot might be muddied by an impure group comparison...but based on the claims made it shouldn't be. So...your point is true (and I saw a discussion about it on Berenson's blog) but...it doesn't matter.

It's doubtful the vax will have a very strong efficacy with the new mutation.
Natural immunity will be waaaaay more effective in immunizing efficacy, as it is developed by your body against all aspects of the virus, not just the spike protein, as in the case of the vax.
Vax antibodies may actually be completely worthless against the bee variant, and early details show fully vaccinated individuals contracting and spreading the news variant.

My guess is ultimately the "vaccine" does no significant harm, nor give any significant benefit. Which is basically similar to my views of Covid - by and large it doesn't affect most people in a significant way. So if you want to get the shot, get it. I had about that with the full doses and then I was fine with the booster, except for soreness in the arm. Which was probably more due to the flu shot (they told me the flu shot would hurt more because it pushes more liquid)

Call me skeptical on this. I got the Pfizer double jab in April, and I've had two colds since, one in June, one in August. Both were just normal colds, stuffy head and sore throat for a couple of days, runny nose for a couple more, then done. No sign of general immune system damage.

I went to Costco yesterday, and the price increases in just 8 weeks were insane. I'd say it was easily a 10-15% increase across the board. For instance, Kleenex was $17.50, now $19.50. Prime beef $60/lb, last time it was $50/lb (I have pictures). Last Christmas I got a bag of Lindt chocolate truffles for $8, this year $12. Water $5/case, now $7/case. I was actually hearing people commenting on the price increases, or the sizes suddenly shrinking. The 3 people that were speaking English that is.

the good news is they seem to be finally dissipating
I think for people who have known autoimmune issues - or in my case not known ones - these shots are really risky. my body just kind of went into overdrive. for a really long time.
so the worst was joint pain and swelling - basically I got instant, all-over sudden onset arthritis (with lots of fun swelling and rashes). after a while it's settled down but my hands still swell and I guess I will have arthritis from now on. thankfully it's pretty mild.

Holy fuck, that is EXACTLY what happened to me. It was like every ache and pain I'd get in different spots randomly all happened at the same time. Shooting pain and couldn't sleep for a week. I broke out all over my shoulders and chest - it's just now healing after 4 months. I've never had anything like that happen to me in all my 29 (x2) years.
I've had 2 flare ups of gout in the past month (still limping around) - when I hadn't had it for 7 years. Needless to say, I didn't go in for a second jab - that was enough to scare me shitless.

From what I have seen at my company, some people (a minority) got laid out by the first two shots, with the second shot having more severe reaction. The booster, however, seems to be flattening a lot more people. A lot of my coworkers got boosters in the run-up to Thanksgiving and the number of people out of office because they got sick as hell post-booster was pretty big - much bigger than during the initial vaccination series.

Holy fuck, that is EXACTLY what happened to me. It was like every ache and pain I'd get in different spots randomly all happened at the same time. Shooting pain and couldn't sleep for a week. I broke out all over my shoulders and chest - it's just now healing after 4 months. I've never had anything like that happen to me in all my 29 (x2) years.
I've had 2 flare ups of gout in the past month (still limping around) - when I hadn't had it for 7 years. Needless to say, I didn't go in for a second jab - that was enough to scare me shitless.

I got the Pfizer booster a couple of weeks ago, and had all-over joint and muscle pain the next day, but nothing since. I had no noticeable reaction to either of the original jabs back in the spring. I've also been bothered by gout in the past, and have managed to avoid it by watching what I eat. No sign of gout after the original jabs or the booster.

If Dr says you need to do this, you might want to get on it. I have a condition that causes my blood cells to proliferate. They didn't find out about that until it caused me to have a massive stroke. According to my employer, one of the Big3 auto companies, the court decision has no effect on them, only the government.
How is the company mandating a vaccine after the 5th circuit already said the federal government mandate is unconstitutional?
The US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit issued a temporary stay of the Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). That litigation pertains to OSHA's authority to issue the ETS as a government mandate. The ruling does not impact the ability of private employers to implement their own vaccine mandates.

WED Nov 24 - Employer COVID-19 Task Force Team announces agreement (yet announcement not sent out to salaried employees) with UAW for all Big3 that UAW workers will not be forced to submit vaccination status or get vaccinated or have weekly testing.
TUE Nov 30 - Employer COVID-19 Task Force Team sends out e-mail with updated FAQ and informs everyone exemptions must be submitted in 3 days, by THU Dec 2.

I take blood thinners and baby aspirin too. But that doesn't get rid of the extra cells. Having them drawn will do that. With extra cells you get thicker blood even with thinners and baby aspirin, both of which help a ton but extra cells are also a problem on their own.

Why does the vaccine mandate only apply to the salaried NBU workforce and not the hourly workforce?
The EEOC has stated that federal anti-discrimination laws do not prohibit employers from mandating vaccines provided they consider accommodation requests based on medical reasons or sincerely held religious beliefs. Accordingly, we believe the mandate does not disregard any rights of salaried employees. For employees who are covered by collective bargaining agreements, we are continuing to evaluate our policy while assessing pending federal vaccine requirements and any collective bargaining obligations.
