He gave a great idea about pretty much freezing the breast meat before hand with ice packages. That was legit genius. I mentioned a bunch of ways to deal with a turkey. The one I forgot to mention was simply cutting the breast meat off 30 minutes before the turkey is done. It is sure fire if you want moist breast meat.
The drawback is of course the Turkey is butchered, and no way will you get the brown skin and presentation. It is a simple idea that works. But his idea is better for fixing a complex situation. Next time for sure i am going with that. BTW, I hope you all had a great one.

both are good ideas, but well known. The foil rarely does the job and then you have browning issues. Upside down is good too, but still it can become dry and again, the browning issues. You are cooking something with three to four different needed temperatures to be done. I get why some would say enough. I have been going for the perfect Margarita for decades, yeah I think I have it, but it wasn't for lack of effort.

I've known a few women who were physically assaulted by their husbands. Both husbands and wives were substance abusers. The women call the cops after they get hit, the husband is taken in, within a couple of days they are back together.
A friend of a friend married a guy who hit her. Her comment was, "Well, he was out of coke." The marriage lasted one year. I have no idea why anyone puts up with that stuff.

Well, it's in Texas. Apparently boyfriend was in house at invitation of the other guy's ex. Don't know if shot guy had restraining order against him, or not, or if they were just living apart. My guess would be: try to invade a home, even if it was formerly your own, and legal occupant shoots you, law sides with legal occupant.

At the divorce proceeding, bf was more concerned about how quickly he could remarry, presumably because his new wife would not be able to testify against him.

that's an interesting, if horrifying case. In a strictly legal interpretation, my guess is that the shooter will get off because the victim was warned and grabbed at the gun. BUT it also shows how a very clever and calculating killer can manipulate an emotionally unstable target and push him into a situation where the shooter can, quite literally, get away with murder.

My first thought was that the only way you could go into Mexico, track someone, and "take care of" the situation like that is if you've got some High Level connections with one or more of the Cartels. They're the only ones who can make something like that happen - and these days no NorteAmericano's can go down into Mexico and traipse around the country without the Cartels knowing about it.

For those with good gas grills, but not (yet) smokers, an amateur tip: poultry actually can pick up substantial smoke flavor in a grill. Usual drill. Indirect heat. Put smoker boxes and/or aluminum foil packets of soaked chips directly on whatever heat dispersal surface your grill has. Do several, so there's smoke most of the time.
Put chicken stock, apple cider, and calvados in the pan underneath the bird. The drippings were amazing, added those to some store-bought gravy, bingo. Smokey, apple-y goodness in the gravy.

SO, one evening he and 45's were at the video store (when they were still a thing) and In walks the Wife. Surprise! Well she went after him then and there - and he was big, but I knew her and she was a very muscular 250, easy. I mean she was a Big Girl. She caught him by surprise and knocked him through one of the racks - then he jumped up and grabbed her by the arms and tossed her through another of the video racks. Then she got up and came back at him! By the time they were done, they had laid waste to that ENTIRE store, every rack was down, every video box in that store tossed every which way. And hiding in the corner was the store manager, this 130 pound 21 year old white guy, shaking, trying to figure out what he's gonna do about the two insane sumo wrestlers who picked his store as their Battlefield.
it's wrong, but that still makes me laugh today.

Some things are just easy. Grabbing what's around the kitchen or the garden often works with poultry. Turkey's about as blank a canvass to paint on as you'll get in food, so it lends itself to this.
Not having to brine the sucker myself (and it was only 9 lbs) is a big help. I actually don't always brine chicken but I always do with thin pork chops. Seems to make a big difference.

old bottles do change. If the booze gets to a certain level, then its days are numbered. If you like cooking with apple brandy, check out Laird's. THey are pretty much the first patent in America. The Lairds family gave the recipe to GW. There is an interesting history behind that. Today few drink apple brandy or Apple Jack. The first one is the better booze. It is like Calvados but cheaper and from here.

easy homemade guac - 3 to 4 very ripe, soft avocadoes. cut up into a mixing bowl. add one jar of a salsa that you like, use a hand held blender to whip it all together. It'll be as good as anything you were ever served in restaurant.

It probably will, because the dead guy grabbed the other guy and slung him around, pushing him away. That's when the other guy raised the gun and shot him. I actually didn't get the impression that the dead guy was actually a threat, he seemed to me to still be in chest beating pushy pushy mode, but I'm sitting here watching onscreen, not in the moment. If somebody physically grabs you and throws you around after threatening to kill you, I'm betting that reaches the standard of imminent threat. From a tactical standpoint, the dead guy was an idiot. He was inside the radius of the gun barrel, there was no way the other guy could have shot him, and he pushed the other guy away, which gave him the clearance to raise the rifle and fire. If he was intending to kill the other guy he should have grabbed the rifle and attempted to take it from the other guy, he was in position to do so. (con't)

I agree with your assessment. I think the biggest legal risk to the shooter would be if the investigators decide that the shooter helped to provoke the situation, by conspiring with the ex to keep the man's child from him. If the shooter is found to have participated in provoking the situation, he could lose all of his rights to claim self defense, no matter how it played out.

Yeah, the Gf just continuing to film and argue as he's bleeding out is simply bizarre. Someone said there's an extended clip from another angle (the person filming from inside the house maybe? We see a little bit of their footage at the beginning of the clip I've seen) that shows her freaking out when she finds out it wasn't just an Airsoft gun, but I haven't seen that bit.

Most of the reviews I watched have universally panned it, for a variety of reasons:
-tone is off. (I buy this, the tone is unique in my experience. Adventure, Noir, character development, action.)
-characters are wrong. Well, you are probably not going to be able to get as many down the shirt shots of Faye as you did in the anime. Not too many actresses built like that these days either. Maybe a young Scarlett Johansen.
-fighting is bad. Anime can do things reality cannot and not have it look horrible.
Note: I am not saying I am going to go get netflix and watch to compare, I fully believe it is horrible, but this show strikes me as the definition of a nexus/lightning in a bottle confluence of genre/medium/writing/voice acting.

I had a weird one called Pomeau de Normandie. You might want to try it, I would be interested to hear your opinion or any other Horde member of course.
It is a weird one,they mix calvados with unfermented cider. I liked it but it was just intersting. MY guess was the sweet cider would give off flavors that don't exist in strong cider and brandy. I only had a bottle and it is a very nice product. If you like apples, it is one worth trying. It is not cheap btw. Personally i would go with Ettiene Dupont cider and be done with it. Real cider is cheap compared to other beverages at that level. Ettiene Dupont is a legit steal for what you get. JMO there.

Other care homes in the county are short-staffed, as they perpetually are anyway, but not this bad... The county is blaming low wages, but word on the street is mismanagement...
