The Morning Report - 11/9/21

chandlergestaporaiders.jpg

Good morning, kids. Tuesday and there are a number of stories that taken together should scare the Biden out of you. Power, corruption and lies isn't just a New Order album. It's a way of life (both the title and group) for the junta that stole a national election and placed a desiccated, demented pervert/criminal in the White House. And now, despite a near constant stream of catastrophic policy failures that show no sign of abating, and the realization of same by even the lowest of the low-information crowd, said junta is clamping down on our collective esophagus while it's own sphincter dilates to the size of the Superdome.

First off the bat is their belief that laws are for the little people.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Monday that the Biden [junta's] message to businesses that fall under its vaccine mandate is that they "should not wait" to implement the measure despite a federal court ordering late last week that the mandate be paused due to possible "grave statutory and constitutional issues."

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted an emergency stay of the federal requirement for companies with 100 or more employees to mandate [Chinese] COVID vaccinations by January 4, 2022, or implement regular testing for workers.

Funny how when courts rule against red states vis a vis border and immigration policy, energy policy or even anti-vaccine mandate lawsuits and legislations, the preservation of "our sacred democracy" (spit) and the wise decisions of the judiciary must be respected. You know, I seem to recall in the not to distant past a certain well-known political figure, resembling Jabba the Hutt's anal fistula, once declared:

"I'm sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we're Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration."

Try telling that to the misdemeanor trespassers still being held as insurrectionists and terrorists in the Garland Archipelago for showing up to protest January 6th and making the mistake of following known FBI confederates and even agents themselves in through open Capitol doors to do nothing more harmful than gawk at the drapery and drop a few post-it notes on Pelosi's desk. Or tell it to parents who show up at school board meetings to protest the mind-rape and rape-rape of their children, only to be labeled as racists and terrorists.

Meanwhile the real racists, terrorists and insurrectionists are whitewashed (heh), or otherwise magically transmogrified into heroes, victims and patriots. Were it not for the fact that the ludicrous prosecutor and even more ludicrous "witnesses" at the Kyle Rittenhouse show trial just destroyed their case over the past two days, to say nothing of the video evidence from multiple angles proving beyond any doubt that he was acting in self-defense, this patriotic young man would be a victim of a Stalinist crucifixion. And considering the more than likely threats against the jurors, that fate may yet be in store for him.

Projection, baby. Pure projection. When no real enemies exist, invent them.

On Thursday, Hulu began streaming a documentary breathlessly entitled "The Informant: Fear and Faith in the Heartland," narrated by that paragon of journalistic objectivity, George Stephanopoulos. "As homegrown extremist groups remain one of the greatest threats to the United States," the teaser asserted, "George Stephanopoulos gives an exclusive look at the incredible true story of how an ordinary man from Kansas risked his and his family's lives to stop a terror attack."

Wonderful, right? But in touting the show, ABC News tweeted: "In 2016, four militia men were finalizing a plot to bomb the mosque and homes of Muslim refugees in a Kansas town. Authorities say it could have eclipsed the Oklahoma City bombing. But one of them was an FBI informant." Or, as one Twitter user commented, "The FBI did a great job of stopping themselves yet again." Was this another case of entrapment? Would the plot have existed at all without the informant's role? Given the fiercely political use of the FBI by Merrick Garland's Justice Department, these are important questions, but the answers may never be forthcoming.

Meanwhile, the FBI is currently pursuing no fewer than 2,700 investigations of "domestic extremism," more than twice the usual number of such investigations. The dramatic increase in investigations suggests, at least in a sane world, a response to a sharply increased threat, but Biden's handlers have shown no evidence of a massive spike in "white supremacist" terrorism. . .

. . . It's just something we're supposed to take their word for. Timothy Langan, the assistant director of the FBI's Counterterrorism Division, recently presented it to Congress as axiomatic: "It goes without saying that the threat from domestic terrorism is heightened and has significantly increased in the last 18 months". . .

. . . Rep. Rick Crawford (R-AR), a member of the counterterrorism and counterintelligence panel of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, recently observed: "Our concern is that the FBI, being a preeminent counterterrorism agency, along with the CIA [and NSA], that those assets could be turned inward to target U.S. citizens without a foreign nexus. You have people that are ramping up the rhetoric on domestic violent extremism . . . to sort of make the case for and essentially justify the misuse, potentially, of intelligence assets that are specifically authorized for foreign threats. We're playing fast and loose with the definition of what constitutes a domestic terrorist, and that's the danger of going down this road without the appropriate safeguards. We're kind of treading on thin ice here with regard to just sort of cavalierly throwing this term around. I think we've gone a step too far -- well beyond a step too far. I think this is dangerous."

Indeed. We saw exactly that recently when Attorney General Merrick Garland directed the FBI to work with local law enforcement authorities on "strategies for addressing threats against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff," when the "threats" actually amounted to vociferous disagreement with the imposition of critical race theory and other elements of the woke agenda in public schools.

Despite the drubbing the odious Terry McAuliffe took last week specifically because of this, evidently the message isn't sinking in.

An Arizona school board coordinated with the Chandler Police Department to gather information on concerned parent groups and arrest unmasked parents at school board meetings.

The Chandler Unified School District's (CUSD) Director of School Safety was in communication with Sergeant Greg Howarth, a Chandler police officer, in April and May, as parents were protesting mandatory masking in schools, according to emails obtained by the blog "Not in our Schools." Howarth was tasked with aggregating intelligence on local concerned parent groups, all of whom are adamantly opposed to Critical Race Theory-inspired curriculum being taught in the district. . .

. . . According to the available emails, coordination between the police and CUSD began in April. The first emails available date to April 27, when Howarth crafted a strategy for CUSD board meetings. The police officer encouraged the president of the governing board to "cut the mic" for any parent that speaks without wearing a mask.

Howarth's strategy included arresting parents for trespassing if they failed to comply with the district's mask mandate.

"If someone doesn't comply and you want them removed from the property let us know," Howarth said. "If they fail to leave let us know that you want them trespassed and we can do that."

Remember: #BacktheBlue. Not when they're eager to make us black and blue I won't. Not when they're "just following orders." And this is exactly where we are heading, my friends.

And I guess the vaccines are still useless if you have to still get a test to prove you don't have Covid.

In fairness (not that fairness is called for), LI got it wrong with their click-baity headline. They don't formally need *permission* to hire white males, they just have to demonstrate that the considered alternatives. It amount to the same conclusion, though.

State Street is not alone and they aren't even a fast mover. This policy is in place at both my current and prior companies. It started with interview requirements like State Street has. Now, at my old company, there is also a quota. Not for any given job, but in each major division. You must interview women and minorities, but you also must hire some number of them to "improve representation." What starts as "consider the alternatives" merges into "give them preferential treatment." It will become "no white guys." It gets harder every year for a white guy to get a job in some industries. What *isn't* being reported in the State Farm/Aaron Rodgers story? Probably a lot, but my guess is that the biggest gap is the endorsement contract. I'll bet there's seven figures - maybe eight - in penalties for early termination outside of very specific reasons. I'll also bet that "COVID vaccination" is not one of those specific reasons.

If I had to guess - and I do, because the data aren't public - I would guess that this has nothing to do with State Farm "standing up for" Rogers, and everything to do with a major cash penalty if they dump him over this, combined with lawyers and actuaries reading tea leaves and determining that the risk of keeping the deal is lower than the known costs of terminating it.

Just a guess, of course.

Just a guess, of course.

He's not doing either. Guess we'll see who blinks first...

77 The junta's reaction to the court order halting the vaxx mandate is *exactly* what I expected them to do. They will force it on us anyway while the suits work their way through the courts. By the time we get a SCOTUS ruling, it will already be the new "norm" and therefore plaintiffs will have "no standing." This is as predictable as the sunrise.

--

Yep. And here is where the road splits again with how two sides handle things. Pick any situation. If the roles were reversed, they would simply ignore an R president's "mandate." All blue states would lock arms in defiance. And it would work.

Red states need to toss aside their jelly bellies and throw down the gauntlet in the strictest forms possible. And that goes a lot farther than a strongly worded letter. If we don't start pulling out all the stops to save ourselves from this tyranny, we are well and truly doomed. States are our only firewall left, it seems. If they don't act to protect Americans, I don't see any hope.

Never happened.

I will say though that this time Our Betters have lined up the money, political power, and land-buying to make it happen. Plus, they've cut deals with some of the small but larger small towns along the way to have stations like say, College Station.

It's still mainly a huge graft grab by the connected, but this time I give it a 50/50 chance of going ahead.

165 We need to remove the racist idea of merit and objective measures of learning and knowledge from all things. When a child gets an answer wrong, we assume it is because of a lack of intelligence, rather than looking at the system and obstacles the child may have faced when arriving at the answer. We should assess all learning as 100% A+ and understand that the child did their best given the environment they learned in. Graduates should be admitted to the university of their choosing and be granted a degree with honors after the appropriate time of study. College graduates should be employed by the employer of their choice and be given the most important projects without the racist and humiliating force of critique, review or correction. Completed projects should be showered with all of the awards of the industry. Only in this way can we operate in an antiracist society.

203 That Girl!

A metallurgist in Washington state pleaded guilty to fraud Monday after she spent decades faking results of strength tests on steel used to make U.S. Navy submarines.

Elaine Marie Thomas, 67, of Auburn, Washington, was the director of metallurgy at a foundry in Tacoma that supplied steel castings used by Navy contractors Electric Boat and Newport News Shipbuilding to make submarine hulls.

From 1985 through 2017, Thomas falsified the results of strength and toughness tests for at least 240 productions of steel -- about half the steel the foundry produced for the Navy. She suggested that in some cases she changed the tests to passing grades because she thought it was "stupid" that the Navy required the tests to be conducted at negative-100 degrees Fahrenheit (negative-73.3 degrees Celsius).

The tests were intended to show that the steel would not fail in a collision or in certain "wartime scenarios," the Justice Department said.

215 I read an article that repeatedly said Kyle "reracked" the weapon, and "reracking" the weapon is a clear intent that he was getting another round ready to fire at the "paramedic".

Reracking a weapon is a Hollywood move. Everyone knows that every few minutes the operator is supposed to rerack the weapon. Rerack one you get in the car, rerack once you holster it, rerack after going over the plans, rerack when unmounting, rerack before kicking down the door, rerack as the weapon is placed against the head of the person inside.

You would think that gun manufacturers would have figured out a way to automatically chamber a round in firearms by now.

Quick quiz. You are sitting in your house freezing in the dark with an empty stomach, your kids are bitching and whining about pretty much everything. The car doesn't run because the parts are on an indefinite backorder, the commode is broken and it may be weeks before a Vax Certified plumber is free to look at it. Turns out the septic tank pump failed. $2000 later, Septic tank pumped out, pump replaced, new parts for vac. Everything works.

I think most women-as they get older-just don't care about presents. They just want to be acknowledged, so get her a nice birthday card and some flowers-take the old pen in hand and write in the card some things which you appreciate about her, and how she's been a blessing in your life. Then take her out to dinner.

282 I assumed Hunter's art would look like something a kindergartner was capable of, or alternatively something a meth head was also capable of. But looking at the pictures of the paintings, they are surprisingly good compared to my original expectations. Good enough as the critic in the article says, to be hung in hotel lobbies. But I would have to imagine these paintings would take some time to create. Leading me to believe he isn't actually the artist creating them. Or at least all of them such that he could fill a small gallery.

A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one.

349 I know you posted it a couple weeks ago, but where can we buy the book without subsidizing Amazon?

350 I'm shocked, shocked I say, that Chandler police would be involved in something so underhanded. /s

351 I fly at least once a month for business. I'm at ord now. As usual, 99.9999% of people cowtown to the mask. So if your'e one of those "courageous conservative cobs" who melt at the airport: Fuck you poser.

Is there a beef with someone here or are you just ranting for the fuck of it?

354 307:
"In the 50s as is now, when planning to raze houses to put in a highway, the planners have a choice, try to buy out more affluent homeowners who may have the means and motivation to hire lawyers and fight, or go through the poor neighborhood of mainly low income renters who lack the means and motivation to sue."

I'm not sure they did have a choice. Isn't the government required to do a 'lowest bidder' thing and buy up whichever route is cheapest, which will almost always be through the low-rent neighborhoods? And didn't a lot of rednecks in trailer parks also lose their homes to interstate highways for that very same reason?

355 Please recall that the FBI maintained for decades that their was no such thing as the Mafia, preferring instead to spy on commies, or anyone else caught in the net.
