Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Washington Post: The Danchenko Indictment Casts Some Slight Doubt On Some Previous Media Reporting on RussiagateThe Washington Post makes a large admission -- but makes it as small and stingy as possible, confining it to a single sentence with no elaboration and no promise of follow-up reportage. ![]() ![]() ![]() There will be no review, there will be no post-mortem. But they must be made to confess that -- over and over and over again. The Washington Post's " " " fact-checker " " " and lineal descendant of Nazis Glenn Kesler says of the Clinton Dossier that a report is "only as good as its sources." ![]() ![]() ![]() The Brookings Institution is essentially -- not really, but, you know, essentially -- the foreign policy cover organization for the Clinton Foundation. So how very strange that the Brookings Institution and its personnel have taken a lead, and I do mean lead role, in pushing the Clinton Dossier and Hillary Clinton's Russiagate Conspiracy Theory. Hill, you may recall, was a Trump White House National Security Council member who provided key testimony in the House's impeachment of then-President Trump in the Ukraine kerfuffle. (Hill appears not to have been knowingly complicit in the unrelated Trump-Russia hype.)Ah, National Review. Always simping for the left. We don't know what we don't know. Why clear someone based on so little knowledge, so early in the process? Stay Gold, pony-boy. This woman keeps popping up as an indispensable part of Russiagate -- a Johnny Appleseed of conspiracy theory connections -- and National Review wants to claim her role is entirely unwitting? Not to mention her later role in the second Trump impeachment. Maybe she was just a pawn in Hillary's game. But then again, maybe not. Again, why are we rushing to absolve on so thin a record, so early in the investigation? If only National Review had been this willing to vindicate Trump of Hillary Clinton's "Trump is a Russian Agent" conspiracy theory! What is she, a National Review background source? I did not know that. Dolan was himself literally a Kremlin agent! And he worked for Hillary! And Hillary's conspiracy theory about Trump was that he, Trump, had unsavory connections to Putin's Kremlin! Now, put this in the additional context that Hillary Clinton's oppo research firm FusionGPS was simultaneously working directly for Vladimir Putin, attempting to drum up media and government support for overturning the Global Magnitsky Act,, which Putin did not like, because it gave governments the power to seize caches of his wealth (stolen from the Russian treasury) he had secreted in foreign banks. Who's got Vladimir on speed-dial, you corrupt, pestilent cow of drunkard psycopath? Read the article to see what you knew or suspected -- Dolan made a trip to Russia and reported that Trump had stayed in a hotel there. He said nothing of prostitutes or peeing. Danchenko just straight-up fabricated that. Now this part I knew, but it's worth stressing its importance: Danchenko lied about where his information was coming from. He hid the fact that it was coming from Charles Dolan. Had he admitted that, his "information" would have been more obviously a partisan pack of lies coming straight from the diseased drunkard mouth of Hillary Clinton. But he needed to claim it came from somewhere. So he lied and claimed it came from Sergei Millian, a Russian businessman who had light dealings with Trump and who had started the "Russian-American Chamber of Commerce" to boost his US profile. This lie hid the true source, while contriving a false source which would give Danchenko's claims the thinnest veneer of plausibility. Trouble was, of course, that Sergei Millian denied, vehemently, ever talking to Danchenko or having any knowlede of any of this. Sergei Miliam should -- must -- sue Danchenko, Christopher Steele, Perkins-Coie, Hillary Clinton, Hillary Clinton for President, and the DNC for defamation. And we should crowdfund this lawsuit to "fortify" it with a bankroll of about five or eight million dollars -- conditioned on Millian not being allowed to settle, and being absolutely aggressive in pursuing discovery. Below, former DNI John Ratcliffe says he expects "many indictments" from Durham. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

Now knowing that you were a key, central, foundational, indispensable cog in this disinformation campaign, wither witting or unwitting, what responsibility do you feel to do some reportage instead of Democrat Party Stenography and reveal the true story of how the Clinton Dossier was transformed from febrile partisan conspiracy theory into CNN's main story from 2017 to 2019?
And if you don't do that -- are you not admitting that your role in this was not unwitting at all, but rather an intentional, knowing enlistment in a corrupt DNC/Intelligence Community operation to both subvert the 2016 election and then cripple a duly-elected, fairly chosen president? ++++ Of course not. The maximum sentence for what Clinesmith was charged for is 2 years. That's what Durham asked for but the DC judge, of course, watered it down. That's why it's a pretty big deal Durham charged Danchenko in EDVA, a more conservative friendly district. He could have done DC, he chose EDVA. I also think Clinesmith is cooperating. If you believe that the election was rigged and the road for that rigging was cleared to make it successful (the corruption of the courts, the congress, the press, etc.), how do you also believe that anyone will be made be to pay for the long-running attempted coup conspiracy? Why would the malefactors be made to pay in the coup activity, but not in the election theft? They are of similar import and severity, though the election fraud was worse. All of the 'evidence' for Russian collusion by Trump is false and absurd on its surface. A child wouldn't believe it. Both Elias and Sussmann were forced to quit their jobs at Perkins Coie where both were senior partners at the biggest Democrat law firm in the country which affectively ended their election division as Elias took it with him They had to be pulling in $500K/year each. A reporter should NOT be part of the story. And that's what has happened. Along with the homogenization and agglomeration of all the media into just a few central controlling headquarters. Posted by: sniffybigtoe at November 08, 2021 04:10 PM (Y5qcH) ++++ Mid twentieth, and it is because of radio and television. Radio and TV was the first incidence of a bandwidth throughput limitation. Because there are only so many channels, there became a state interest in divvying them up. This is where FCC leases come from. The radio spectrum is owned by "the people" (the state) and access is controlled by the state. In unlicensed bands (WiFi, portable landline phones, etc.), it is a crapshoot and interference is allowed. In licensed bands like radio and TV and cell phones, interference is not permitted. To institute fairness, people with leases to licensed spectrum space can't be political hacks, at least not on paper and not officially. This is why the "balanced" and "unbiased" journalism canard was born. They had to pretend to be neutral to get access. It was always a fiction. I always thought the very concept of Putin preferring Trump over Hillary "Reset Button" Clinton to be ridiculous on its face. I think it was (cleverly) used to pull in establishment NeverTrump Republicans who still harbored anti-Russian sentiment.
Clearly this was an extremely successful Putin op. The end result is that Putin has now achieved his number-one foreign policy goal, the Nordstream 2 pipeline, which will enable him to make billions more selling natural gas to Western Europe while bypassing his noisome neighbors in Eastern Europe. The Trump admin opposed the pipeline, while one of the Biden admin's first acts was to approve it. What I don't understand is why Trump didn't more successfully argue against the sheer absurdity of the conspiracy. I guess when the entire IC is against you, with the support of your own party's most influential members (such as McCain), it's really hard to win these kinds of battles. First of all, this is one of the all time great posts. And thanks for doing it. Second, some enterprising video person needs to do a montage of each networks reporting on this over the five year period and show a graphic of how many MONTHS of coverage this got, not to mention direct overlay of the hoax against the 2018 and 2020 elections. What, exactly, is a coup d'etat if not this? Government employees and quasi-government employees (DNC-loyal media) conspiring to throw elections, impeach a President, destroy the lives of innocent people, force taxpayers to spend millions (billions?) litigating this not to mention the opportunity cost. Note bene: the Russia hoax was a huge factor in the 2018 midterms and doubtlessly dragged Trump down for 2020.
No R should appear on any TV news show until the guilty are brought to account and each network and newspaper does a thorough housecleaning and review. Resignations or firings would be the appropriate outcome in an actual republic. Posted by: mercury at November 08, 2021 04:31 PM (Diy6F) 313

I'm not saying the press used to be reporters of reality (truth,) but they always made some effort to appear like they were.
I am not talking about bias. You can be true and accurate, but biased. A biased press is unavoidable, and the closest we came to a neutral press was with the network news during their post war heyday. But the newspapers "of record," like the times, wp, jounral, etc. all tried to be true and accurate and would have cringed if caught out in a lie. Remember the scandals in the 80s and 90s with reporters making shit up, and how they lost their jobs. Hell, they would be given pulitzers today. The "price" paid, even if a few middle-mucks have to plead to something, is an absolute bargain, when looked at from the bigger picture (which is the important one).
Trump was hobbled, there may have been some effect on 2018 and 2020. That is tremendous payoff, beyond anything usually seen in politix. The Dems paid an historically high price - nominally, temporarily - for O-care. O-care is still there. Dems never lost the whip-hand on much of importance, save for the few anomalous years of Trump. Of course the GOP being dishonest and feckless, and most of its voters pretty stupid loyal tribalists, is also key in all this. But O-care in place (forever, notwithstanding its predictable disastrous results), and Trump hobbled and removed - those are epochal gainzzz. 1 or 2 bad election cycles, and a few people in jail (for a few months) - is a fire-sale price. In the rough and tumble of politics a few dirty tricks should not create criminal liability. Nor should sore losers be permitted to weaponize the Justice system against political foes. A dictatorship - which we essentially have, albeit with a disconnected and conflicted group of dictators instead of a single guy in command - would indeed mark the end of the country. But the country has ended. It's past tense. The political demarcations still exist, but the power and legal systems on which those political demarcations exist are by all appearances null and void anyway. Said it before, will repeat (sorry). Watch for the GOP's "theme" or "agenda" in the campaign (the never-ending campaign - basically campaigns are permanent now in America, thanks to the explosion of govt. influence on all of life and the shortage of Americans now alive).
In 2010, before the largest partisan wave victory in modern history, the GOP was so furious they were being pressed to campaign on *something, some actual specific issues* that the anger wasn't even concealed in public comments. They finally slapped together something that of course was to their subsequent behavior "in power" as the Soviet constitution was to actual govt. practice in the USSR. McCarthy, who's one of the more pathetic of the GOP empty suits, beclowned himself in 2018 when - for the first time in his "career" - he suddenly developed an intense interest in border security, and held an event at the border. *A few weeks before the mid-terms*. The government and, specifically, the Justice Department and the judicial branch, is so corroded and debauched and maggot-infested by the Communists that I just can't bring myself to hope that there will be any justice in this matter.

"452 The only way One Man could fix the mess this country is in is to be an absolute Dictator. I'm pretty sure, like, 99% sure, maybe 98% sure, that I'm not ok with that.

My concern with the Durham probe and these initial indictments is that there has been little employment of the media to discredit them. If they were truly close to bringing down important players, ones that the media use often as figure heads of the party they hold their allegiance to, there would surely be an uproar of scorn of these cases.
And, yet...nothing. Either they are cowed into frighten silence, which I highly doubt given their fairly low level of analytical ability, or they know that this never reaches any level they need be concerned over and thus require the hive swarm of scorn and denial that usually ensues. Nothing sends the media into a wagon circling mode faster than the threat that their rice bowls (ie the Dem party) is about to take some sort of hit. There is none of that over the Durham indictments. Does last word goes to "That guy who says Nothing is Happening?" I hope not. Posted by: Boswell at November 08, 2021 05:54 PM (5iUNf) 464
Hey on the topic of media coverups, the news is that California Governor Gavin "I do my own French laundry thank you" Newsome has not been seen in nearly two weeks because of a bad no actually really really bad reaction to his COVID shot. Bell's Palsy , which causes half of your face to be paralyzed, is the likely reason as discussed here https://tinyurl.com/3t4mv8vu

The Big Media outlets (NYT especially) HAD the unredacted Carter Page FISA application supplied to them via convicted Select Senate Comm. Intel. Chief of Security Wolfe (age 56) who sent it by 94 text photo messages to his slut girlfriend Ali Watkins at the NYT (age 26) at the behest of Sen. Mark Dicknose Warner (D-VA). Problem was, as per Sundance at Conservative Treehouse, an FBI agent, Brian Duggan, had been investigating leaks from the SSCI and when Warner requested the FBI's copy of the FISA warrant, he got the copy of the FISA Court's which had time stamps; and he added some incorrect dates, to track it. When Warner found out and Mueller/Weissman had to make this go away , they had the NTY get a FOIA request TO THE FISA court to get THAT copy....and got it in 6 days (FISA NEVER RELEASES STUFF)... Knowing this, watch the SSCI hearing with Comey with Warner's smug speech. What a scumbag.

THUS...the MEDIA (who already had copies of the Clinton dossier HAD the Carter Page Application (UNredacted) so they knew what parts of the dossier went into the warrant and knew that the FBI KNEW Danchenko and Dolan were bullchit!
