The Morning Report - 10/28/21

probablegarlandreps.jpg

Good morning, kids. Thursday and we move from covering the heirs of Josef Mengele and the T-4 "doctors" to that of Roland Freisler and Ernst Kaltenbrunner. Sorry if these comparisons offend some but when you incarcerate people for months on end in deplorable (no pun) conditions and in many instance subject them to physical and psychological abuse for a crime no more serious than criminal trespassing, and have now been shown to have actively plotted with the illegitimate junta controlling the federal government to persecute parents for confronting their local school boards about the sanctioned abuse of their children in schools that they pay taxes to fund, then I think the analogies to the Schickelgruber era and those who brought it about are wholly appropriate. Especially since this is exactly the fate that is in store for us.

And the political prisoners of January 6 are still rotting in jail for violent actions and vandalism that we now know to have been plotted ahead of time and executed by plants and stooges of the FBI if not badge-carrying FBI agents themselves. That agency is still run by Christopher Wray, a lifelong apparatchik and servant of a feral federal bureaucracy that did everything it could to frame Donald Trump in 2016 on phony charges and then finally succeeded in a rigged 2020 election. And that agency is run by "Attorney General" Merrick Moloch Garland.

For whatever it's worth, he ran into a buzzsaw yesterday on Capitol Hill:

At the beginning of the hearing, Sen. Chuck Grassley pressed Garland to answer whether he would rescind his memorandum directing the FBI and state attorneys to address "a disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff who participate in the vital work of running our nation's public schools" following a letter from the NSBA. The NSBA released a statement last week expressing "regret" for sending the letter and even admitted that "there was no justification for some of the language included in the letter" but Garland did not budge. . .

. . . During his allotted time, Sen. Tom Cotton told Garland that he should "resign in disgrace" after using the NSBA letter to justify authorizing the Department of Justice to take action against frustrated parents.

"This is shameful. This testimony, your directive, your performance is shameful," the Arkansas Republican said at the end of his questioning. "Thank God you are not on the Supreme Court. You should resign in disgrace, Judge. . . "

. . . "When you issued your memo, when you involve the Department of Justice and all of its resources, and the FBI and all of its resources, and local school boards and local school districts, you knew that federal prosecutors would start collecting crimes that they could use against parents. You knew they would advise state and local officials that these are all the ways parents might be prosecuted. You knew that that was the likely outcome. And that's exactly what's happened," [Senator Josh] Hawley said.

Hawley also accused Garland of having "weaponized the FBI and the DOJ" to accomplish political goals.

"It's wrong, it is unprecedented to my knowledge in the history of this country, and I call on you to resign," Hawley concluded. . .

. . . Sen. Ted Cruz pressured Garland to answer questions about his son-in-law Xan Tanner who founded Panorama Education, a firm that markets teaching materials "focused on systemic racism, oppression, white supremacy, and intersectionality, all under the rubric of 'Social-Emotional Learning'" to educators funded by the government. When Cruz asked Garland to clarify if he "sought an ethics opinion" on the matter, the attorney general refused to answer yes or no.

As I said, for whatever it's worth. Look, it's important that this sagging sack of evil with a JD and a hard-on for power and obsequiousness to an all-powerful State, someone the founders and framers saw in their nightmares 232 years ago, got grilled on the record. Not that assholes will frame this as "abuse of a wonderful, moderate, independent AG" or some such drivel. But that said, what's the net effect here? You think Garland is really going to resign? And even if he did, who's the next in line? The Left's bench is so deep, it's measured in metaphorical light years. Garland goes and here comes Chesa Boudin. Think the GOP is going to dig in its heels to stop him? Look who they've confirmed already -- including Garland: A Luddite nihilistic eco-terrorist, a racialist open borders advocate and waiting in the wings, an honors student from a Soviet university who seeks to nationalize the banking system.

Yes, Senator Cotton. Thank G-d he's not on the Supreme Court but look were he is. And believe me, he isn't engineering this all on his own. The Justice Department has thousands of employees and if certainly everyone there is not "down for the struggle" as it were, they'd best keep their mouths shut lest they too get fired. Or worse, labeled a member of a white supremacist terror organization plotting to overthrow the government. I.E. a non-Democrat.

The situation we are in is so utterly fouled up that it's hard for me to wrap my head around and construct cogent thoughts. But suffice it to say, that I don't think the ballot box is even the answer, and that's even assuming that it won't be rigged as it was in 2020, since it sure as hell will be to one extent or another. But let's say it isn't. Let's say that somehow, we take back the House and Senate next year, that we win shocker victories in VA, NJ and elsewhere down ballot and even the White House in 2024. There was a story yesterday where Democrat voters are souring on Biden and one today supposedly showing if the Hunter laptop story had not been suppressed, they'd not have voted for him.

What I'm getting at is, do these supposedly disaffected Dems see that their disaffection is not just for Biden the man/vegetable but for the policies themselves that he and his handlers are implementing? So, the Dems get wiped out starting next week and for the next two years but, even assuming we have another Trump-like boom and resurgence, will the same mindset coupled with a rabid propaganda smear campaign not make them vote for Titty Caca to be president come 2028 and then we lather rinse and repeat all over again?

All this underscores the fact that we are as polarized a nation as we have ever been, perhaps even more so than just before the Civil War (not that I or anyone else was around to confirm it). Whatever the issues were back then, slavery aside, the two sides today have irreconcilable differences on the nature of this nation and society itself. Electoral mood swings every two to four years is a non-starter, even with non-rigged elections. And that gets away from the much deeper and deadlier problem of an unelected, massive centralized bureaucracy that will get to a point where the other branches of government will be an irrelevancy like the British Royal Family.

Grill Garland and Fauci and everyone else all you want. There are infinitely more and worse waiting in the wings to fill their slots. That's where the real power lies. Or at least the iron in the glove.

The leading Republican tasked with his party's investigation into the preparedness and response of the U.S. Capitol Police and other law enforcement agencies to the Capitol riot on January 6 is being blocked by President Joseph Biden's FBI from gathering information, a new document reveals.

The FBI told Indiana Republican Rep. Jim Banks it would not provide Republicans the same information provided to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's hand-picked committee consisting only of Democrat-appointed members.

"We respectfully refer you to the Select Committee regarding issues of access to records and information," the agency wrote in response to a Republican request for information, referring to the official House panel established by the speaker.

Let me translate what Christopher Wray just said in plain English: "Go fuck yourselves!"

QED.

Posted by: f'd at October 28, 2021 06:40 AM

There is absolutely zero reason he needs to travel around the world to do anything that he does. With today's communication technology - cell phones with facetime chat; conference calling on computers, laptops, cell phones, ipads, etc - all these "flying around the world to save the planet" people can hold all their conferences from the comfort of their own homes.

But no one of influence directly confronts them on this hypocrisy and forces them to answer.

Yes indeed. The "ham-and-eggers" do not exist in any department. They might technically be there, but they will never expose themselves and never defy an order. They might, at best, decline to voluntarily participate in abject evil. But not one will fight back. If a tree falls in a forest and no one is there to hear it, it makes a noise but not a sound. The hypothetical "ham-and-egger" might exist, but he is irrelevant. From a practical standpoint, he does not exist at all.

Posted by: G'rump928(c) at October 28, 2021 06:56 AM (7moj5)

44 I've watched all the video's on Rittenhouse. The key to the first shooting is that a video exists where, although you cannot see the actual moment of shooting because they are behind a car, you can hear a pistol being fired from the crowd BEFORE Rittenhouse reacts. That's clear proof that he had good reason to feel that his life was in danger and that someone was shooting at him, justifying his self defense plea. (simply put, he did NOT shoot first, although we don't know exactly who did)

There's direct video of the second two shootings, and the self defense aspect is obvious in both of them.

We are there or very nearly there now. Those "electoral mood swings" would mean a lot more if we had the patronage system. But we don't. It was killed off in favor of "professionalism" and to prevent the government from being stacked top to bottom with cronies. It didn't work. The bureaucrats might be "professionals" (whatever the hell that means), but they're absolutely still cronies. The problem is that now they're all cronies for the same side regardless of the people the electorate wanted to put in place.

If you are waiting for anyone in Congress to do something besides talk a lot, you will be waiting for the rest of your life.

69 Here's a question:
Which Republicans are acting like these next 12 months are the last 12 we have to save the republic?

What bills are they drafting to permanently reduce the size, scope and reach of the federal government?

What issues are they cultivating-- not just reacting to the issue of the day-- what issues are they pushing daily, working in to every public utterance?

Answer those and despair...

They don't care now. They might care eventually. What they're doing is extremely corrosive. Are you going to be loyal to a company that does this to you, even if you comply? Are you going to go that extra mile? Probably not. You're going to knock off at five o'clock more often than you used to. You're not going to sweat over the little things anymore.

Even if it doesn't result in a big walkout, it's going to crush productivity and production. I'll bet that the productivity of "federal contractors" is going to fall dramatically starting in Q1 of next year. It's going to be bad. Even worse, they'll be too stupid to realize what happened and will try to "fix it" through even more corrosive ideas and thus compound the problem.

Discover the Networks shows that the left has their tentacles in every institution in the country and the world. They control it all and nothing short of a bloody revolution is going to change things.

I just get annoyed with all the huffing and puffing from conservative social media who either hype this stuff because they actually believe it means anything or they hype it for nothing more than click bait. Either way, it's depressing... knowing how vast and controlling are the networks of the left/WEF and how the right has nothing even close to try to stop them.

I fear that is the real reason, and why I haven't filed my exemption yet. I strongly suspect that most of the federal contractors are being advised to treat exemption demands as "must issue" - but in exchange, they send the names, telephone numbers, addresses, I-9 identification forms and banking information of the squeaky wheels to them. They're going to build a list of them, and when the time comes for genocide-scale slaughter, they'll know who the worst of the malcontents are and where they live.

I'm waiting until later toward the end of the window to file mine, just to watch how the union push-back is handled.

They don't think like normal people. They want to destroy the existing order, the "system" and the rest of it. They have no idea what comes after, they don't have a plan to replace that which they destroy with anything either. It's all sort of nebulous and undefined. "And then, a Miracle happens", like that classic New Yorker cartoon.

Now they do have a sort of "Your Death Before Their Dishonor" thing going on, they will gladly throw you or your kids under the bus, they will sacrifice your lives in order to maintain the fiction of their schizophrenic worldview. Because thinking is hard, don'tcha know. But at the end of the day, they are just saboteurs. They cannot build anything, they can't maintain what we have.

And that's your fault somehow, so you must be punished.

Is This the End of the Republic?

--

Yes, it's the end. I never would've believed it 10 years ago, but I do now. At least insofar as whatever we in the "before times" remember about America as she was.

We are so irreconcilably separated as a country that there is no going back to what we were. The hard left controls this country, nearly all of its institutions, federally and culturally, and much of the citizenry as a result. They will never stop pushing their goals forward and their goals are 100% antithetical to traditional America and all the gifts our Founders bestowed to us. So we have a choice. We watch them take over (currently in progress), or we split. There is no stopping them. There are too many, with new generations being marinated in their pathetic, sick, totalitarian ideology as we speak. At least, that's what I firmly believe. Our Republic has ended. We have to go forward from here, salvage what we can (if it's even possible) and let them maul each other to death in their utopian frenzy of Communism.

So let me give you a darkly optimistic view (but not rosy) Yes, they control all the machinery, but they don't know how to keep it working because they're incompetent and foolishly ideological. Think of this economy, this society, as a giant engine that is supposed to keep running smoothly to supply everyone with everything. We all can feel that this engine is now badly out of balance - perhaps it's thrown a rod. Engines that are out of balance get MORE out of balance with every turn, and soon they tear themselves to pieces.

They may control things now, but they don't have the intelligence or the skill to stop things from tearing themselves apart. I used to think this was still years in the future, but every one one of us can feel the acceleration in the process happening right now. It's coming, soon.

They're going to build a list of them, and when the time comes for genocide-scale slaughter, they'll know who the worst of the malcontents are and where they live.

Let's call the start of COVID as Valentine's day of 2020. Trump was in office from that day until January 20th of this year, a total of 342 days, including transition day. Biden was in office from January 20th until now, a total of 282 days, including today.

That makes for a total of 624 days. Trump had 54.8% of those days and Biden had 45.2%. Optimistically, according to the new narrative, Trump had 30% of the deaths - a 24.8 point death deficit. Pessimistically, Trump had 40% of the deaths - a 14.8 point death deficit. And Trump *should* have had a higher ratio of deaths because he had the beginning of the event when nobody knew much of anything.

There is absolutely no way to spin this as "Trump's Fault." Either the numbers are wrong (they are, and probably massively) or Biden is grossly incompetent, or both. But there is no way to make that Trump's fault. Not if you give it even a modicum of through and do some fifth-grade level arithmetic.

None of our industries do, and it's a serious problem. During WWII when we needed production at all costs, our industrial concerns were able to go out back, peel away some tarps, and find equipment that could be restored and help do the job. It wasn't efficient or good or easy, but we could do it. The capital goods were there. They're not anymore. All of it has been sold off to the Orient or scrapped. We have essentially no margins and no obsolete equipment that can be used in a pinch anymore.

Yep, good points. I compare it - and I think others have as well - to the post-9/11 policy changes for travel. TSA and "airport security". Initially many people were annoyed with it, but eventually everyone got on board and it's been the new normal for the past 20 years. I see the same thing happening with the Plandemic.

Look how many parents just go along with their kids being forced to wear masks all day. Look at the people going along with health protocols and "COVID testing" to get out of forced "vaccination". Just 2 years ago, could anyone fathom anyone agreeing to employee mandates for drug testing? Unions fight this all the time. Yet, now everyone is agreeing to "COVID testing".

171 BTW, something very, very useful in that paper in my name field. Look down at the very bottom of page six:

"As of October 17, 2021, 691 deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in the United States in individuals less than 18 years of age, with146 deaths in the 5-11 year age group...

The most common underlying medical conditions among hospitalized children were chronic lung disease (29%), obesity (25%) and neurologic disorders (23%). A total of 68% of hospitalized children had more than one underlying condition. Obesity and feeding tube dependence were associated with increased risk of severe disease. Available evidence suggests that highest risk groups include children with special healthcare needs, including genetic, neurologic, metabolic conditions, or with congenital heart disease."

And then what? It stopped for Cuba. It stopped for Venezuela. But that didn't stop leftism from tearing those countries apart economically. Decades later, they're still living that nightmare. Once the left gains hold, it doesn't matter how incompetent they are, how poorly an economic engine works, how staved and miserable its people are. They are entrenched at that point. 200 >>> 136 I fear that is the real reason, and why I haven't filed my exemption yet.

I guess I am that old now to be saying this... when I was a kid (age 4 to age 14, 1980 to 1990), every kid in my neighborhood was regularly getting hopped up on sugar. Candy, soda, ice cream, sugary cereals, McDonalds, pizza, etc. But none of us were fat or obese.

We also were *always* outside doing something. Riding bikes, riding skateboards, rollerskating, playing at the park playground, playing football, playing baseball, playing running bases, playing hide-and-seek, anything. Anything to get outdoors and have fun with our friends.

Maybe there is something different with foods today, but I put the blame for obesity on many kids today being sedentary because of things like gaming systems, TV, computers, social media, etc. Thus, instead of denying people their choice in what to eat, need more encouragement to be more active.

210 I'll mention this again, regarding this coming winter and the energy situation.

My propane delivery back in July came with this warning from the guy driving the truck; be prepared for shortages and a massive price increase about the beginning of the year. What I just put in your tank is likely all you'll get for the winter.

My tank is sitting at 60 percent. That's about 170 gallons of propane. If I'm frugal I'll make it through February. It's used for heat only, no cooking. For reference a single pilot light on a propane/gas furnace running 24x7 uses about a gallon of gas every week.

Yep. Which is why I am getting weary of our local fight and speech-making with our woke school board. A few dozen or even hundreds of angry parents mean nothing to them while they have many thousands on their side and even more thousands unaware of the issues but totally know the educators are working hard for them and their children, as they have been told. They have the votes, know it and eventually we will quit or pull our kids out or move, which is fine with them. We will still be forced to pay enormous property taxes to support them

Good morning everyone.

I'm noticing a trend in the airline violence altercations. When the perp is not a POC, the media is all about flashing the uncensored face images. When the perp is a POC the media protects the identity. Maybe there is more to what is going on as in charged with a crime, so public information? Still seems suspiciously like enemy action on the media's behaviour when it comes to generating up social disorder outrage.

Who is now "teaching" Grandma all about genderism and how to use one's preferred pronouns. How to use they/them for a single individual, etc. And the young girl...yes, she's now not sure what she is: girl, boy, beachball, tootsie roll, elf. _________

I don't know. One striking thing about the Chinese Empire is that, for something that lasted so long, and was so often very powerful, they rarely tried to extend beyond the natural boundaries. And never for long.

I don't say they won't try this time, only that we are in uncharted waters. All the more so because I know of no case of an unconquered nation destroying its own civilization, which is what Mao was doing. (Of course, we're trying to copy him in that.) 266 There will have to be shooting and dying for the left to be defeated. There will be no "National Divorce", just awful, tragic, bloody civil war. A divorce would merely set the stage for war later, if, in fact, agreements could be made - which I doubt - about property division and new boundaries.

There will be no stopping the shooting and the dying until the professed and known communists are all dead. They must not rise again in this, our "...last best hope of humanity..."

I'm too old to be in the war but I can see it from here.

270 One might argue the flu vaccines are more effective than the COVID vaccines and therefore masks aren't needed. But the CDC notes that a meta-analysis that included data from randomized controlled trials, the most robust form of medical research, found flu vaccines to be in the range of 51-67 percent effective at preventing flu infection. One RCT even found it to be as low as 16 percent in a season of low influenza infection rates. Influenza transmission cannot be prevented by vaccination because vaccination is only about 60 percent effective at preventing flu illness.

So now we're calling the flu shot a "flu vaccine"? WTF? Since when has the flu shot been considered a "vaccine"? Or is this using the new definition of "vaccine" which now no longer means that a vaccine provides immunity from the virus/disease.

Tragically, once it gains hold it seems leftist tyranny just has to play out to the bitter end and collapse on its own, and that takes decades. Chile and Spain are the only examples I can think of that fought off the left, both thanks to a determined and ruthless military leader. Russia had a bitter, bloody civil war but in the end the commies ground down the Whites. I have no idea what going to happen here. Cultivating that emotion is enough to nuke the social media companies to orbit, but the fact that the GOP keeps sending the executives who are paid handsomely to lie to them to testify instead of bringing in the blue-hair otterkin in charge of these suspensions without White Knight Dorsey to fluff it up, is exactly why the Right continues to fail.

They have similar packets at the Dollar Tree: a box of 8 bars for $1.00, so 16 for $2.00. Li'l Dutch Maid saltine crackers (no corn syrup, the box says) are good; you can get the 4-stack box just like Premium Nabisco saltines for $1.00 instead of $3.89. Bags of chips, etc.

They used to carry premium wheat and rye bread, the kind of stuff that goes for nearly $4 in the regular stores, but now all they have are pasty-looking bagels and hamburger buns. But their paper towels and toilet rolls are a good value.

I think it was WaPo that blew that up at the time. They came up with a chart laying out the relative liberalness or conservativeness of each of the remaining 8 justices with Garland on as comparison.

The only one further to the left than Garland was RBG.

The only reason Garland has any kind of "moderate" cred is because he never says no to federal power, whether it originates from Republicans or Democrats.

Posted by: TheJamesMadison, OCP were the good guys at October 28, 2021 08:13 AM (LvTSG)

334 The questioning of Garland is mostly theatrical, but it does provide a mild deterrent effect ... like if Garland had known beforehand he'd be in for this much blowback on this memo he probably would have not immediately have jumped per WH command on responding to the NSBA letter. He would have waited a couple of weeks instead of days, which would have been easy enough to do by standard stall tactics.

It'd be better for the Senators to demand a list of DOJ/FBI personnel tasked with drafting and/or supporting the work associated with the memo ... then publish that list. Faceless bureaucracy is much more daring in words/actions than non-faceless bureaucracy (compare with Internet anonymity).

408 Better to use self-interest by shifting funding to individual control than hope for Democrat votes in 22/24. Vouchers is the best example of how to shift the electoral balance, but all social spending should be reviewed through this prism. Then the choice becomes self-interest vs. Dem, instead of Rep vs. Dem. Our righty pols are ignoring this because it is easier to get elected by getting our side wound up, but we need to make them reach out to the (Dem) underclass and campaign for vouchers.
