The Department of Homeland Security will spend nearly a half-million dollars for a Delaware construction company to build a fence around President Joe Biden's beach house. ... Construction of Biden's security fence comes as the president faces a record-high surge of illegal immigrants at the southern border. Border Patrol agents this year detained more than 1.7 million migrants along the U.S.-Mexico border, the highest total ever recorded, according to the Washington Post. One of Biden's first actions in office was halting construction of former president Donald Trump's border wall. Homeland Security this month canceled remaining contracts for building the wall. Here's some more of that Fake Outrage Culture War stuff that Obama was complaining about:

I keep detailed spreadsheets of show results for all our specials. At the same age, Lacey had more breed and all-breed points and more group placements. But by then Lacey competed in 80 more shows than Delilah. Looking at the first 211 shows of each one's specials career, it's Lila by a good margin. Both had a National Specialty BIS (Lacey in her very last show) and a Westminster Best of Breed. Both great girls who loved to show. Attitude is important to success in the ring. I think the big place for stealth inflation is services. Go to a store and check out yourself, or go to a hotel and your room doesn't get cleaned. Go to a restaurant and you don't get a menu and the service is slow.
An economist recently made the point that normally we see quality improvements that help balance out higher prices. E.g., new or better products. But with COVID and the employment shortage, we're seeing reductions in quality. This means that inflation, high as they're saying it is, is being badly underestimated an the real inflation rate is much higher. F. Joe Biden! Posted by: Dave at October 25, 2021 04:39 PM (mXUCw) 93

Yep, "fake outrage" is exactly the term for parents learning and then objecting to their kids being fed idiotic racist hate propaganda by stupid over-paid public "education" drones.
But the outrage is about 30 years too late, and of course needed to happen in reaction to the far more subtle but equally poisonous vandalism that has taken over the system. Meanwhile, the tag line from the op-ed is a candidate for unintentional self-parody of all time: students need to "think for themselves". The side that touches this angle is 'adjacent', the side opposite is 'opposite'. Cosine, (think co-pilot) is adjacent over hypotenuse. Sin, the opposite of cosine is opposite over hypotenuse. Every teacher on the planet tells them to put away their phones when they see them. If the kid is being blatant about it, the phone goes into the teacher's desk. The fact that a kid video recorded a teacher isn't proof the teacher isn't doing this. It's proof kids are sneaky little shits who will pull out their phone at the drop of a hat and that policing phones in class is a constant battle. Anyone who claims they have a simple answer for this is only proving they have no idea what they're talking about. my son's school some of the teachers have a single big bag they all go in, but some have slots for each guy. and the phones go in there.
The bag sounds unworkable. The first time some little shit grabs someone else's phone at the end of class, you're buying someone a new phone. but no I don't think it's all that hard to disallow phones during class Oh, no. It's easy-peasy. All you have to do is say, "no phones." The hard part isn't having a rule. The hard part is how much of your time you're willing to devote to policing the rule. In schools where most of the kids are obeying the rules and Admin backs up the teachers, it's probably not a big deal. In schools where kids end up with in lunchtime detention for laying hands on a teacher, you're up shit creek. The best you can do is tell the kids no phones, take the phones from the kids who are being blatant about it, and if the kid is willing to fight you over keeping his phone, hope that Admin will show up to help kick the kid out of class. Nancy started out in the 1920s as a comic called Fritzi Ritz about a young woman trying to break into the movies. Bushmiller later took over the strip, but it wasn't until several years later that Nancy herself came along and eventually sidelined Fritzi to the point where the strip was called Nancy. The progs claiming parents have no right to input in their kids' curriculum is especially clown-worldy with the supporting position that "US law" dictates this because kids need to "learn to think for themselves". You know, by all of them thinking what the government tells them they're supposed to think... in government schools... as dictated by the moonbats' political faction...and that objections are wrong because they're "political".
Goddamn right they're political. You know what else is political? Ejecting moonbats from our social contract. Never let them have your kids. EVER. At this point these people are just making mouth-noises to posture prior to the shooty part. I know it, you know it, they know it, and we all know that we all know it. Domain, hmmm
"According to this system, the tree of life consists of three domains: Archaea. Bacteria, and Eukarya. The first two are all prokaryotic microorganisms, or mostly single-celled organisms whose cells have a distorted or non-membrane bound nucleus. All life that has a cell nucleus and eukaryotic membrane-bound organelles is included in Eukarya. " wiki Posted by: illiniwek at October 25, 2021 05:50 PM (Cus5s) 497

so years ago, I watched "The 4400," a sci-fi TV series I liked it somewhat. Now, reboot just started tonight... I read the write-up: 4400 marginalized people society neglects disappear over 100 years, than re-appear. No thanks.

I watched a little of the video and could not understand what she was saying. Now that you pointed it out it is still hyper behavior but perhaps a bit more understandable. In my class we learned SOCATOA, with silent H's. I still use it to remember the relationship after, cough cough, 47 years.
A note on idiots, my machinist at work as decided not to take the jab, so after early December will be let go, barring a lawsuit declaring the forced jab illegal. He is the last machinist at work that knows how to machine my material, will be a rough period getting someone else up to speed. Posted by: Fred at October 25, 2021 08:31 PM (wgxgK) 507
