Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Emails Reveal that National School Board Association Colluded With White House To Draft That Letter Demanding the DOJ Treat Concerned Parents as "Domestic Terrorists"New reporting suggests that the National School Board Association colluded with the Biden White House regarding their letter demanding that the FBI treat critics of leftwing schoolboards as potential domestic terrorists. Chuck Ross with another huge scoop:The country's largest school board association collaborated with the Biden White House before sending a controversial letter calling on the FBI to investigate parents as potential domestic terrorists, according to previously unreported emails. The emails, obtained by Parents Defending Education through public records requests and reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon, reveal that the National School Board Association's president and CEO sent the letter to Biden on Sept. 29 without approval from the organization's board. The letter said that the acts of some parents at school board meetings across the country could be considered "a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes." The emails also show that the White House asked the association for examples of threats against school board members days before Attorney General Merrick Garland created a task force of officials from the FBI and the Justice Department to determine how to prosecute alleged crimes at school board meetings. In other words, the White House told them what to put into the letter so that they could then order Merrick Garland to investigate "domestic terrorism." The letter makes clear that the White House was aware of the letter before it was released, while raising questions about whether the White House colluded with the association on the letter to prompt federal action. This was all a set-up. It was all fugazi. The White House was already primed to order the DOJ to attack concerned parents -- but they didn't want to make it look wholly political. So they put the NSBA into writing a tearful letter for them, filled with ominous tales of parents making "threats," to justify what they were going to do anyway. Merrick Garland testified -- or testilied, really-- in Congress yesterday. He testilied that he didn't know anything about any of the topics Republicans wanted to talk about. When asked if he was aware of the bathroom sexual assault of the daughter of one of the men the NSBA was accusing of "terrorism," Merrick Garland claimed he'd heard nothing about it. Remember, the National School Board Association specifically named Scott Smith -- the father of the sexually-violated girl -- in its list of "incidents" which they claim justified treating concerned parents as "domestic terrorists." And Merrick Garland, vouched for by National Review's serial voucher Andy McCarthy, claims he just hasn't heard anything about this case. When asked if he was aware that a leftwing environmental group had stated their own "insurrection" by battering their way into a federal building two weeks ago, Garland similarly claimed he'd never heard the story. This is Strategic Ignorance. This is testilying. Again, I urge Congress to create an Idiot's Corner where they can send someone to read the law or read recent news when they claim to not know things they don't wish to comment on. Then call them back to the witness chair after their purported ignorance of very basic knowledge has been cured. Note that Garland also says that this sexual assault is merely a "state case" -- a "local crime story," no doubt -- so that the DOJ should not have any opinion about it. But the "threats" from parents were also state cases, if they were cases at all. And the DOJ rushed in to investigate those state cases.
The left-wing education company co-founded by Merrick Garland's son-in-law used a training session for teachers focused on "systemic racism," recommending an article that referred to Trump rally-goers as "examples of white supremacy" akin to the Ku Klux Klan. Panorama Education, co-founded by Xan Tanner, who is the group's president, claims it has made its way into thousands of schools in the U.S., selling race-focused student and teacher surveys and conducting training on systemic racism and oppression, white supremacy, unconscious or implicit bias, and intersectionality, all under the rubric of "Social-Emotional Learning." The company makes it clear that "SEL" is just a "vehicle" for achieving its goals related to "equity."Yes, and the parents who Merrick Garland just sicced the FBI on are working to put his son-in-law out of his leftwing grifter business. But apart from that -- no, no relation at all. Meanwhile, Andy McCabe has now gotten zero punishment, thanks to the partisan decision to un-fire him and give him taxpayer money to cover his legal bills. But you or I would be in prison. Corrupt cops are the worst criminals.
Let's compromise and say zero times. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

When Merrick Garland asked what evidence he had of rising threats of "domestic terrorism" to justify putting out a memo telling parents they risk an FBI investigation if they get rude with a school board partisan, he said he had... the letter. Just the letter from the NASB (and co-sponsored by the White House).
++++ I don't know what the vagaries involved in some nonsense like this are, but is this even necessary? I mean, they wanted something to "respond to" and the letter served the purpose, but did they actually *need* the letter? What are the requirements for the DoJ or the FBI to create a "task force?" I'd be surprised if there are any at all. The letter might be being used a rationale, but they wanted to do it and so they did. Wanna know yet another in a nearly infinitely long list of reasons I have no respect for Congress? This kind of shit.
Garland lied, provably. He read the letter, though he didn't know about the Loudon County case that prompted the letter to be written? Really? Pull the other one. At least one of those statements *must* be a lie. And what will Congress do about it? The same thing they always do: nothing. People put their hand on the bible and swear to tell the truth under penalty of perjury, then lie their assess off. Garland. Fauci. Zuckerberg. And those are just the three I can think of between neurons firing to make fingers move to type this. And Congress doesn't care. They don't respect themselves, their office, their institution, their history or the citizens they purportedly represent. They're all in on the humiliating, self-abasing game. The schools never sent the crt kind of classwork home, that was all kept in house and never spoken about outside of the school. Once covid hit and kids were being tele schooled it exposed what was actually going on to parents. Not excusing anyone, but if you have ever been to a school board meeting you would know it was like pulling teeth to get a straight answer to a simple quesiton. And they never gave anything away you had to pry it from them using your two minutes of time. They would constantly lean over and ask the lawyer sitting there "are we permitted to answer that question". Put our son in catholic school and that solved that problem. Impossible to take Horowitz seriously, as he was among the biggest ethical and citizen failures of his era.
The Clinton Espionage Act scandal - arguably the biggest scandal in American history, probably paired with/equal to the attempted coup against candidate, president-elect, and President Trump - was his moment to do his job. Instead, we got "defensible prosecutorial decisions" - for things that were obviously, laughably indefensible, which were at the very heart of it all. So sorry, while it's tempting to see Horowitz as any better than Garland (or McCabe, or Strzok, or Holder) - he isn't, not really. He endorsed the most indefensible cover-up in our history. Posted by: Mister Scott (Formerly GWS) at October 22, 2021 12:52 PM This is nonsense. My mom was actively involved with my schooling when I was a kid. As soon as I walked in the door from grammar school, she immediately asked how was my day at school, did I have any notes she had to see, what did I learn and did I have any homework. This was the 1980s-1990s. The problem is not (just) the schools, the problem is absentee parents. My mom did not have to be in my classes to know what was going on in the classes. She simply took an active interest in my education and made sure, every single day, to ask me about my day and what I learned. This is actually a fascinating thing to see - I've talked with LIVs that tell me they loved living in some blue shithole, but they had to move because they could not get a job/afford to live there/be safe from crime. Be careful in Illinois. Taping of a phone conversation without two-party consent is a Class X Felony here. You'll spend more time in prison for that, than you would if you murdered somebody. Posted by: banana Dream at October 22, 2021 01:24 PM Same thing is going on here. People are fleeing the DFW metroplex and driving up local house prices. My house is worth almost $75,000 more than I paid for it 5 years ago. Have a buddy that used to build houses, he just sold the last house he built that he had rented out for 15 years at $1,000 a month to some guy from Plano for five times what it cost him to build. He made some serious $$$$ on that house. Posted by: Mister Scott (Formerly GWS) at October 22, 2021 01:30 PM (JUOKG) 311
Meryl Garlic said he was "exquisitely" familiar with the Conflict of Interest rules. Yet he used the Shaving Mirror Standard:
"I talked to the guy in the shaving mirror and we both agreed I had done nothing wrong." That's not the "exquisite" standard. The standard is "Even the appearance of a conflict." He was his own Ethics Review Board. Which is fitting since the White House drafted the letter to themselves, too. Not that an Ethics Board would have changed anything. They have no morals, let alone ethics. Posted by: The Gipper Lives at October 22, 2021 01:30 PM (Ndje9) 312

281 Grump with a key point - McCabe wasn't just let off, he was in effect gifted a huge financial payoff via the GoFundMe that more than covered his legal costs, which the taxpayer will now pick up.
Even for the sad wreckage of what was not long ago the US, this is gobsmacking. This is our equivalent of the Regime sending a family the bill for the ammunition used to murder their relative, in a fully developed totalitarian situation. But do I recall that some indictments are coming? Indictments which will do anything to change the complete victory of the dark forces here - who knee-capped a presidency, helped end it, and will essentially get away with a slap on the wrist, and only for a few? Seem to recall something lately in the comments .... Posted by: rhomboid (OTzUX) at October 22, 2021 01:23 PM (OTzUX) -- Remember when we were told by our betters that McCabe's punishment was being terminated from the FBI, and that's the normal remedy here (not criminal charges)? Kinda like to see Tim Allen in a dramatic role. I bet he'd be able to do it justice. Posted by: That's how bad it is at October 22, 2021 01:06 PM If he was not a left-wing douche, seems like a prime storyline for the next version of Liam Neeson's "Taken" series. I think Maggie Grace character is old enough in the series now to have a daughter old enough to have been raped in school. Have the storyline just as what is going on now in real life, including where they covered up the crime and arrested the father. Have the consequences be like "Law Abiding Citizen" where the father gets revenge on everyone who was involved with raping and killing his wife and daughter. Combine it with the storyline of Denzel's "Man on Fire" where he interrogates and then kills everyone involved with kidnapping Pita. Posted by: Clyde Shelton at October 22, 2021 01:37 PM (Do5/p) 330

ow? I mean, how is it conceivably "wiretapping" and how is it federal?
== its isn't federal its an illinois state law. And we don't know how it was recorded. Was it a video of a phone call? Someone talking on a cell, and somebody else videoing that - maybe a cell phone video. If you are recording a live conversation that can be illegal as well without consent, but not really wire tapping. Wire tapping would have to do with phone lines or maybe computer since they carry calls as well now. but definitely just recording other people conversations that are private is a problem. If you are in a state like ohio, you can do it secretly - but you have to be a party to the conversation. The people talking have to want you to be able to listen and participate. They have consented to you hearing and speaking, so you could testify to the conversation. they can hardly object to a more accurate record of the conversation then, at least that is the theory in OHIO. I see this a lot - some leftwing figure gets "a threat" and it is the biggest thing that we have to address immediately, whereas some rightwing figure get a threat ... and no one cares.
Posted by: 18-1 at October 22, 2021 01:08 PM That's easy to explain. In the reality of the left, leftwingers are good guys, rightwingers are bad buys. So threats against good guys are bad. Threats against bad guys are justified. Posted by: Clyde Shelton at October 22, 2021 01:40 PM (Do5/p) 335

Posted by: Captain Obvious, Laird o' the Sea at October 22, 2021 01:33 PM We had some kids (16-1 in a Union unit when we did Civil War reenacting that were not being watched closely. When you fire a blank you put in 50 grains of black power and a musket cap and shoot it off. One of the kids was loading his 50 grains and forgetting to use the musket cap so his gun did not fire at all during the battle. After the battle we have to clear all guns when we leave the field, so when it came his turn and the Captain was supervising him had him put a musket cap on and he pulled the trigger. I was over 50 yards away and my ears were ringing for an hour after that blast. The kid and the two next to him along with the officer were on the ground in front of a smoking hole about 8 inches deep.
